We’ve not experienced this issue however this maybe due to the simple PMR radios that we use in the school as opposed to the more technical Airband or VHF radios
Have you noticed more radio interference after installing the tach? I originally installed a tachometer near the throttle, but the radio (only tried US aviation band) became unusable unless I was completely off the throttle. I moved the tach to the frame, similar to where you installed yours, and shortened the lead. The radio reception is better, but still not great. I wonder if shielding the lead would help.

How to reset the previous recorded hour? I bought a new engine and want to have fresh recording of it.
After you wrap the signal wire 4 to 5 times. How exactly do you know if your RPM's are running a bit too high or a bit too low?
It should idle at around 2000 RPM, if not then there is a malfunction or it’s not set up correctly.
