New Niagara owner here. Been trying to get my system balanced and stable before I put in the IQ sensor. Chlorine and Ph has been low so I added the freshwater chlorine granules and some “Ph up”. I wanted to add the Freshwater MPS chlorine free oxidizer but when I read the IQ manual it said do not use MPS. Is there anything I can use as an oxidizer while using the IQ system. This is all new to me so I’m trying to figure it out as I go. Just don’t want to screw anything up.

That is correct you do not want to use MPS or shock in a saltwater system with IQ. You can actually use granular chlorine. I actually have most of my customers do 3 teaspoons of chlorine every day for the first three days to get started.

Thank you! So the use of an oxidizer would not be needed or compatible with the Freshwater IQ Smart Monitoring System? Is it correct that an oxidizer and chlorine do different things? Is MPS essentially a oxidizer?
