Don't use duct tape. Use zip ties.
I thought it just plugged right into the obd port...wasn't aware of any wires...just ordered 1 yesterday
that cable is an adapter optional, you can buy it on Amazon, and as he specified just a fool setup so the customer don't think there is anything on it
