Blackwing does sell different leads. You could try their 4 pack called: Audition Pack. It features their 4 different types of lead. M(602 = firm , Matte = soft, Pearl = balanced, Natural= extra firm). Nice setup 🥰
Mine came today! I almost ordered two sets 😂 I do want to get more inserts when I go to the DC Pen Show. I hope they have extra there. These pencils are their "balanced" pencils, probably similar to a 2B pencil.

I will definitely be there Wednesday and Thursday but I am still unsure of Friday. Maybe? I have the ticket to enter but let’s see how much fun I have the first 2 days.
Hi V, the pencils have the same lead. They’re all the same. I also wish they had at least different size lead. However, they’re really great pencils for drawing! I love them and have used them. They’re my favorite pencils for drawing. Also, the point guard is meant to protect the point when you sharpen the pencil. I love this kit and glad I ordered it! I was hoping that the cover only had the pencil on the cover and the Blackwing logo on the back. Oh well, it’s still very beautiful. Enjoy your kit!

I really don’t have something favorite to draw. I like everything lol I had a phase of drawing buildings then nature then random stuff

I am bad at drawing faces tho! But would love to draw more people!
