she looks like she's about to burst into tears the entire time. =[ it seems like this song means more to her than anything else she's written. my god, she's so beautiful.
Man she was really holding back, this was in her rather sad era when she was really putting her emotions through, I'm glad she's happy now. I just hope she can sing these songs with the passion she did here. Coolest chick on the planet, period.
This is one of my favorite Alanis songs, and she does such a beautiful job of singing it live. And is it just me, or does she look (and sound, if you listen to her announce the keyboardist) like she's fighting back tears? That's true passion right there.
It makes me think of a woman I know and was friends with, who lost her husband to cancer a good many years back. She still grieves him often. She was essentially in the same situation as in this song. She is going on "I as I, and not as we". That's the only reason I most likely will never play this for her, or recommend to her. In any case, yes, it's a beautiful . sweetly sad song, and one of my favorites by Alanis or anybody else for that matter.
I have a friend who can't listen to this song without tears welling up in her eyes. By the time Alanis reaches "I pray he wants to lose"...all bets are off !! Whew.
Alanis is truly one of the most gifted lyricists in the music industry. Not to mention that every album of hers is a journey through her life. I've been listening to her since the JLP days and truly her evolution in all of her albums are remarkable. I think everyone can identify with at least some song of hers. Her performances like this one evokes the true meaning of heartfelt passion to her work and the intimacy of her lyrics. I literally get goosbumps hearing this song everytime.
this is the best moment of the whole show i think. I love this song in CD so much. and now i so love this live version to death. She got so much emotion in performing the song. I think noone can keep the tear and applause for this emotional performance
Probably her best song since a very long time. With this song and the new album, she's won me over as a fan again. This song also reminds me of the power and simplicity of Uninvited.
Brilliant. I heard this first time a few minutes ago and I was crying. I have no idea what happened to me. House has the best soundtrack I've ever heard.
i love this song i never get tired of listening it all the time. i also notice that her expression was sad and some kind of "in pain" look. if u notice her eyes it tell all. she is an amazing singer. i am so glad that she continue to sing. Sweetie u are amazing and u totally rock!!!!!
Absolutely -- probably my favorite artist, when it comes to the kind of person(s) they are. She's intelligent, empathetic, and has a great sense of humor to boot.
One of her best vocal performances on a track yet I think - and that's really going some! Immense song... makes you stop whatever you're doing or thinking and listen... sign of a classic. Well done Alanis ;)
I can't believe that it's four years since she last toured. I was there then and will be in Manchester for the gig on this tour in June. Really looking forward to it :-)
I am so agree with you. Sorry I don't speak portuguese but I do undestand what you mean. She is such a great song-writer. Very honest.. nothing is fake!
Hurt people hurt people. My partner is a dark empath meaning they can fake love. I was fooled for 3 years. Were friends for almost 3 years and a couple for 2.5 years. A dark empath is a Narcissus also. Which is the dark triad of a psychopath over the top gigantic ego and Machiavellism. Not as we really captures the pain even in the title. Now this man is gas lighting me defaming me ect. Thank you alanis. Your friend Aldo. By the way I love your owl tatoo and the tiger. I hope this encourages people to be careful who your dating or whoever is closest because they may wanna destroy you.
for those who haven't , if you love this song, check out Bonnie Raitt's live version of "I can't make you love me" to see raw emotion in her performance.
All the crap she's been through, I can feel and see her pain...that's coming from a person who regularly listens to Cannibal Corpse and various death metal stuff; the emotion and sadness in her eyes shows she was at a low point in her life at this time, and I felt such empathy for her then, and now, even if she's married to a rapper dude, she must really love the guy and I cannot pass any judgement there, he's gotta be a good guy if she's with him, I hope. Man she's grown up since '91!
This song is strange as a twin born in a gemini sign that is balanced! This song is actually enraging! But, from a need for new citizenship because of mental health, it can become "pseudo making it" for the new little born ones. Alanis Morissette and SoulEye, please just get dual citizenship! Do it for the kiddos. Geez, when you think shaolin martial Zen can be seen from the emotional bodies of Alanis, spouse, company, and band, you realize there is more! St. Thomas More utopias!🧘♀📿✝💌☮ Zen. Forgive thyself, sovereign agencies, and government(s)!
Una bellissima canzone io la volevo per il mio matrimonio perché musicalmente era adatta anche se le parole non molto😅 ..comunque non mi sono ancora sposata
@kalagan7500 Yeah this one is up there on the list when it comes to beauty, I also like "Lithium" by Evanescence, "Lazarus" by Porcupine Tree, "Return to Innocence" by Enigma, "Don't Speak" by No Doubt, and of course "Let it Be" and "All You Need is Love" by The Beatles ;D
Isn't this perfection?
Best songs
Absolutely one of her best songs! Chills.
Dr House, season 4, ep 3 :)
Absolutely! This is one of her best!
she looks like she's about to burst into tears the entire time. =[
it seems like this song means more to her than anything else she's written.
my god, she's so beautiful.
She is a beautiful soul!
Man she was really holding back, this was in her rather sad era when she was really putting her emotions through, I'm glad she's happy now. I just hope she can sing these songs with the passion she did here. Coolest chick on the planet, period.
She is one of the few, who can sing perfectly in live, not just in a studio. Congrats for her!!!!! ❤️ This song is beautiful!!!
This is one of my favorite Alanis songs, and she does such a beautiful job of singing it live. And is it just me, or does she look (and sound, if you listen to her announce the keyboardist) like she's fighting back tears? That's true passion right there.
I do not know if that actually was the case, but she looked kind of sad in the first chorus. I wouldn't be sureprised if she was about to weep.
I'm watching this on 2012 and FUCKING LOVING IT! Alanis is one of the BEST female singer that ever existed, and thankgod still existing!
I’m watching this in 2024, for the first time.
I was randomly flipping channels when house came on and this song started playing, instant goosebumps
lol, me too.
@@maderfaker Me three! :)
Many of us knows this song thanks to that episode of House.
My dog, my special boy, passed away 11 weeks ago and this is his song. I can’t hear it without thinking of him and crying. Rest in peace Rocco 💔
One can cry over a broken relationship and heal listening to this song.... but hey do not get stuck on sadness for a long time for LIFE IS PRECIOUS.
this song tears my soul apart. Thank you, alanis.

I am a total hard metal/death metal fan but this song buckles my knees. It's fucking gorgeous.
I have a friend who can't listen to this song without tears welling up in her eyes.
By the time Alanis reaches "I pray he wants to lose"...all bets are off !!
Whew.
what a performance, she is amazing.

I like how quickly the audience identified the song so immediately -- with the first few seconds! Maybe this is the best song on the album.
The song is great, and she's absolutely beautiful!!!
Her greatest beauty is inner ! Intelligent, sensitive, caring. She is often an inspiration to me when I'm feeling low.
@@julianlewis1792 Same here 🤗 Even 11 years after my comment! Haha
@@GomPilote LOL ! 😉
@@GomPilote lol :) I hadn't noticed that until you pointed it out! :=)

i cry.
Probably her best song since a very long time. With this song and the new album, she's won me over as a fan again.

You can see her eyes filling up with this beautiful woman singing a beautiful song and I love songs accompanied with just a lovely piano piece.
Undeniably beautiful. Her and the song!! I listen to this everyday. One of her best!!!
This songs gets me everytime. So much feeling and soul. Goosebumps.
Brilliant. I heard this first time a few minutes ago and I was crying. I have no idea what happened to me.
House has the best soundtrack I've ever heard.
she's Beautiful ❤
Beautiful words, and voice! She is dressed simply and modestly, her voice speaks for itself!
That crowd is quite feisty during a piano ballad...love this song and Alanis.
Beautiful and inspiring ❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶
I was there. Screaming. Amazing.
I was there too if this was 19th June 2008?
Just read the comment saying 16th June. Did she do multiple nights at Brixton?
Absolutely incredible, Alanis!! Thank you very much for the emotions of this performance!!
so emotional, unbelievable Alanis. You are unique. I cannot help feeling the emotion with you.

Absolutely -- probably my favorite artist, when it comes to the kind of person(s) they are. She's intelligent, empathetic, and has a great sense of humor to boot.
Absolutely awesome rendition of a fantastic song by a truly talented lady.
So good! ❤
she's getting hotter and more genuine every year. if she was not known for having aces up her sleeve I'd day she's at her peak now.
Amazing
One of her best vocal performances on a track yet I think - and that's really going some! Immense song... makes you stop whatever you're doing or thinking and listen... sign of a classic. Well done Alanis ;)
This song is very emotional. Great performance!

@ 4:57 she holds back. Such an amazing woman. I've always admired her.
I can't believe that it's four years since she last toured. I was there then and will be in Manchester for the gig on this tour in June. Really looking forward to it :-)
yeah, same thing happened to me. I used to hate "uninvited" but since i saw her open with that song live 2 weeks ago i loved it.
She has perfect pitch and has recorded songs in ONE take!
Lovely piano piece and a song sung beautifully...
Just the look on her face around the 4:56 mark. Wow, you know she's singing from the heart.
Every time I listen to this I get emotional. Love this song.
That song is so special to me. It is the song I would always listen too when I divorced (remarried now 🙂)
it doesn't get more poetically real than this, trying to pick yourself up from the bottom.
This song is simply perfect
Fantastica.
I want to meet the person that can listen to this and not tear up.
And then I want to duct tape an mp3 player to their ears, with this song on a loop.
@Floyd Maxwell, Leave the tape on the shelf. I don't cry. Some hurts are _so_ deep that all you feel is anger and numbness.
Thanks for the upload. If you put anymore from this concert up it would be great.
I am so agree with you. Sorry I don't speak portuguese but I do undestand what you mean. She is such a great song-writer. Very honest.. nothing is fake!
Beautiful.
Those are the eyes of someone who “feels” very deeply

Alanis is god! or Goddess!
Renaitre, avoir une autre chance de tout refaire en mieux... j'aimerai tellement avoir cette chance !

If I ever have a daughter (I hope so) she will be named Alanis.
So.... Time passed.. You have a daughter called Alanis now ? ;)
Ijinkan aku meihatMu sesaat saja setelahnya leyapkanlah aku seperti halnya blm Engkau ciptakan
Dan kenapa Engkau anugerahkan karunia ini kepadaku bisakah Engkau percepat pertemuanku denganMu
@punishedexistence The rapper she is with is pretty cheesy but he seems like a cool guy through his lyrics (not typical rap lyrics.).
Does this song seem personal to her?
Cierto comenzar de cero
если б еще знать, о чем она поет..
