    The ONLY reason the trade is horrible is BECAUSE you gave up Luka. But I wish everyone would stop pretending like AD isn’t an amazing player who is elite offensively and defensively. Yes Luka is an iconic player and the Mavs will hate this deal 5 years down the line. But AD right now with Lively, Kyrie, PJ, Klay, Max Christie, Dinwiddie, Naji Marshall, Gafford, Exum is a SQUAD.

      The Mavs secondary ball handler/initiators is a group of Dinwiddie and Dante Exum. How does Kyrie deal with OKC’s length with no other creators? What about double teams? What about the offensive spacing with AD at the 4?

      Hard to win a Championship without a top 5 talent. Kyrie averaged 14 ppg in the finals and has never led a team on any type of deep playoff run.

    well, I still remember last year. no one is picking the dallas mavericks to make it to the finals over okc, wolves or any other teams. and when the mavs get to the finals, the tv media, content creators and other media channels are like: "Mavs will win the Finals."

    you are comparing duos, why not look who's got the deepest bench in the western conference.. its Dallas. They have 7 guys who can score in double figures in any given night, and still play great defense.

    As stacked as the Mavs are, they are questioning if we are contenders? This is the problem when you only look at records and standings. We’ve clearly had issues with that this year. We haven’t had Luka since Christmas! We’ve also had other injuries and even still, most of our loses were very close. Not all, but most! As for Lively being injured a lot, it was mostly freak injuries last year. His injury this year is legit though. At any rate we haven’t Gafford and AD. We will be ok at the 5 until playoffs!

    Gafford will dunk all over Jokic slow ass. He never plays good against Gafford, he has too much athleticism. Mavs are better and ready to win now they just need another ball handler.

  • @azuldream
    @azuldream 7 часов назад

    Their record doesn't reflect their championship contender roster. They easily clear top 3 in the west and they are now built to beat both Denver and OKC when completely healthy. Although playing dinwiddie as your 2nd shot creator feels like a major downgrade from luka and he isn't locking defenders either. Also Kidd completely forgets to run plays for Klay past the 1st quarter and lets dinwiddie play the luka role too much.

      @@ghostface3652 exactly the notion that kyrie and ad are second options is crazy because kyrie really never had a chance because of injuries in his first season in Boston they were the first seed then the next season the chemistry was bad because they overachieved with kyrie out and some of the young players like rozier wanted a bigger role and it ruined everything it didn't help that Kyrie didn't develop into the leader he is now but that's the main reason this media driven narrative that he can't be the first option came from but hey everyone has their own opinions.
