This clearly shows that studying all those neck and shoulder, head, and neck patterns is even not needed to grow an account, just proper money management. You have really opened my eyes today. Thanks a million
supply and demand, RSI and divergences, double top/Bottom, support and resistance, OB, retest and FiB retracement are enough (also indicators like SMA or BB bands)
This entry provided by the coin flip was perfect. Just like my entries , except mine are perfect entries exactly when the price starts going against me .
1 to 2 have a winrate of 33% . 2 distances toward the tp and 1 distance toward stop loss is 100/3 = 33.3%

This looks pretty similar to my day trading strategy but I never ended up with a profit after 10 trades, let alone 5% :)
You're wrong ... It would be a win rate of 33.33% with a coin toss on that trade. The market is efficient - a risk to reward of 1:2 means the win rate to break even would be 33.33%.
If you had a 50% win rate at 1:2 risk to reward you would be a billionaire in no time. The win rate of a 1:1 coin toss isn't the same as the win rate for a 1:2 risk to reward trade.
The risk management is flawed here Arty. The 10 pip SL will statistically get triggered more than your 20 pip TP. You would need the pip amount to to be the same on each side. For example, a 10 pip TP and a 10 pip SL or… a 20 pip TP and a 20 pip SL.
With how the market functions, your 20 pip target will only have a 25% chance of success.
Bottom line, the market always has a higher chance at hitting a 1 pip target rather than a 2 pip target. The smaller the target, the more likely it is to get hit.
In order for this 10 pip SL and 20 pip TP to work, you would need to incorporate a trading strategy to give a better statistical edge to the 20 pip TP.
Absolutely, 1:1 R:R had plenty of win rates in my back testing than a 1:2.
A well-developed flipping skill is very important, both in trading and in mcdonalds. If something goes wrong with the first one, at least you are already practicing in the other.

If your risk reward is 2:1 then your odds of winning is not 50%, it's time tested to be 40%, a risk reward of 3:1 is 33%.

Even if r2r is 1:1, we will still have only 1/3 chances of win. Because of 3 different scenarios. 1st is buy(either win or loss 2nd is sell(either win Or loss) 3rd is buy&sell(both loss) due to consolidation.
