i have this record myself, and for years, thought that this was this track, here as you've posted. but as i've come to learn, it's actually a misprint, because the muted bells that initially start at 3:00 are a direct sample of Depeche Mode's Blasphemous Rumours. now, if you know Depeche mode and/ or that track itself, the lyrics in the are as follows: ''I don't want to start any blasphemous rumours, But I think that God's got a sick sense of humour, And when I die, I expect to find him laughing''. now i didn't realize how controversial it actually was until my very first paid dj gig the summer of 1989. i played the last school dance at my neighbour's grade 8 grad. keep in mind, this was a French immersion catholic public school, just outside of Toronto. an d near the end of the night i played Blasphemous Rumours, which everybody Loved, except for the teachers and the vice principal, who wanted to withhold my pay after the fact. even though i rented speaker and lights with my own money. 17 years old and here i was taking on the catholic school board. after an hour i was paid and told never to set foot near the school again LOL. back to this track here, it's aptly named ''God's Answer'' and quite literally gives the opposite feelings as the depeche mode tune. so fitting, and a nod to depeche mode's overall influence of all of us, and our scene, really. Mr Dekay knocked this one out of the park. anyway nice post, cheers.
Look for Proluctors - Expression. || The best era for Mathew DK was early 2000s... Then he reappeared in like 2012 with a different sound... Way more trancey and melodic.. but this is what I remember Mathew DK for
@@bafa000 That's a good track. I already heard that one. The golden age of Progressive House was from 99 to 2004. In recent years, it is almost impossible to find something similar to that time. Nowadays, the pace is very slow and boring. Even Digweed and Sasha's sets are completely different from the past, except when they play some older track.
Is this track not actually called "Behind Closed Doors" ???? On my press is certainly does! Also has "God Within" on B side. Absolutely massive tune!!!!
No, the Babak Shayan - Flowers dub was released in 2004 and on many compilations, like the desyn masiello balance mix that came out in 2005. It was released on Beatport and other digital sites years after.
