The full and proper name of this place is Salar De Uyuni in Bolivia, South America. I saw a picture recently showing the Milky Way Galaxy over this place, reflecting it (It's a shame I can't show the picture cause it's trully remarkable). Go there at night with a clear sky and when there's water on the ground and you'll really see a sight. It reflects the stars very nicely. I'd name it 'The Gates of The Galaxy' when visited at night cause it literally reminds me of an archway or a gate going into the galaxy beyond it. This place is spectacular to visit if you don't mind a little salt on your shoes.
I think there is another place in Boliva that's rather unique, the Water Dunes, that's another interesting place though that might not be in Boliva, I'm not sure. Either way, both places should be visited at least once in your lifetime. They are two of the most strangest and beautiful places you're ever likely to see on Earth.

Im getting the strange phobia that if you go to far in a certain place there you will fall down into a hole in the water O_O

The Weather Channel is ridiculous. They tell you how awesome it is, then don't tell you where it is. This is in Uyuni Salt Flats of Bolivia.
