    When Bella narrates that the Dark Knight vokes back the hand after the fluid swings in P1, she's meant to be saying gunbreaker (the tank pulling the hand away to bait palm), very sorry for this mistake. I'll continue to try and polish the guides more.
    The job markers are analogous to m1/m2 etc, these are just the way they are to reflect toolboxes better, so you pick positions the same way you would normally.

      Question; why not just use MT, OT, H1, etc.? Imo it's way less confusing than using arbitrary job choices. Especially when the gameplay footage doesn't match the diagrams.

    • @Tessan
      @Tessan  8 месяцев назад +3

      @@QinsuSubtitles It's because the strats used are based on toolboxes with these job markers, and rather than confusing the communication between new people learning and already seasoned TEA PFers, I chose this and hope it would cause the least damage.

    ATTENTION AETHER PLAYERS
    This guide is almost perfect for Oldbin, the only difference being Inception, where shared sentence goes relative west, and the party goes relative east.
    Good video Tessan!

    • @rekkterrekktum8655
      @rekkterrekktum8655 8 месяцев назад +6

      This is for all players, everyone uses the same strat. I've never seen a PF fill for TEA using any other strats on NA servers. Good catch regardless. I had to double check with the party I'm in rn to make sure I wasn't trippin lol.

    • @lck0ut348
      @lck0ut348 8 месяцев назад +14

      Also, timestop (afaik) is inverted for the blue tether for this guide. Oldbin has the blue support go West/left, whereas Tessan's guide has them go East/right instead.

      End of the day it doesnt matter. What's important is that the information on how to resolve the mechanic is there and that the whole party is on the same page. It wont just be pugs that might use this but also statics that can decide to change prios and sides if they want

  • @treesapstuck
    @treesapstuck 8 месяцев назад +39

    Extremely in depth guide as usual Tessan. Love your work! As a with many a clear, the one criticism I have is while the mechanics are laid out very well, there is not much depth on how to resolve them. Expressing things like how to position your odds and evens during limit cut, not to run too fast during limit cut or you will get clipped by future explosions, and how to use the geometry of the arena to help determine good places to stand. I.E. the green circle during the intro to BJCC to bait the chakrams, and probably most importantly floor refererences for setting up crystals during Inception kind of like how the guide did for the safe spots in Fate calibration Alpha!
    Cheers and keep up the great work!

    for anyone whos confused about jobs not being referred to as MT OT M1 M2 etc. heres what each job in the video corresponds to:
    DRK/WAR = MT (DRK is shown in the toolbox format and is referred to by the narrator, but WAR is shown in the PoV)
    GNB/DRK = OT (GNB is shown in the toolbox and is referred to by the narrator, but DRK is shown in the PoV)
    DRG = M1 (both toolbox and PoV)

The gavel cast checks that that final judgement and your final judgement nisi are satisfied - the only one you really need to actively worry about is having the correct nisi.

    One thing that wasn't mentioned about Limit Cut is where to stop on each side. There's always a ton of confusion about this for fresh prog players. 1256 stops after the 3rd AoE and 3478 stops after the 4th. Afterwards you can just continue to follow, but the initial positioning for 1256 can be very tight and cause deaths if the 1 and 2 players are too slow or unsure of where to stop.

    Appreciate the effort, however I very much preferred your UWU guide's way of having each mechanic's description laid out at the start in text and what each looks like, it's an easy reference afterwards when following the timeline and POVs. Right now none of the explanations are in text (i'm watching up to P2, not sure about the rest of the video) and since none of the POVs are annotated either, and we cannot see the party list for debuffs, even with the timeline track below, we'll have to keep jumping back and forth between the guide to search for the audio explanation of each mechanic.
    It still is a good effort for sure but I will have to complement this with toolboxes and other guides, unlike your UWU guide which is completely standalone and which I made extensive use of. Great job nevertheless though!

    when the music is so pumping it's demanding more attention than the speaker I'm supposed to be listening to, especially at the very end when a vocal track starts playing
    if not, maybe an unlisted version of the same video with no music at all that you link in the description?

    Is there a way to get that timeline that you post at the bottom of the vid that shows the mechanic and type of damage that is going out? I would like to get my hands on it to help me learn the fight. Please and thank you.

    are there any unwritten ”best practices” for routing during bjcc that people stick to in pf (aether in my case)? things like ”from the first water stack, x runs off northward, water haver directly east etc” or such? or is it just a case of use eyes and pray im not misjudging where the server thinks people are because of my ping 😭

    Man, the Fate Calibration Alpha part has me completely lost. I have no idea what the person is talking about with the safe spots. How do you know where they are?? How do you know when they're casting??
