The 5# opening force is on “AX” models by Von Duprin.
Make sure that the fire alarm contact on the power supply is closed. If it is not, you'll need to put a jumper between the fire alarm contact terminals.
If it's 2 door and one is working I wouldn't presume fire loop is violated. But it wouldn't be the first time I've had it happen.
