+Rishabh Sharma I agree! Since the release of the new Garmins, this is the first video with the actual watch. Thanks!

Love the weight of the watch, still figuring out how to maximize the longevity of the battery though

Battery works fine with me when used as an activity tracker. Workouts with gps and glonass will drain more. But I also read on dcrainmakers blog that garmin will be updating the software to make the watch more energy efficient. I also love the weight!

+Jaclyn Summers I don't receive notifications from instagram, facebook, twitter, etc. nor from incoming emails. I only receive a notification if it's coming from a call or a text message. I hate to be bothered with notifications of any kind.

I've had the 235 for six runs now. So far, I am really unhappy with the inaccurate optical HRM. My easy run HR normally is 125-140. The 235 recorded the last 2 runs at 180+. Three previous runs started out normal, then dropped down to 90-100. I was walking through the airport yesterday, and the 235 consistently showed my rate at 140-145. Was I missing the flight and running? No. I have a pretty low RHR as I am a marathon runner, but not as low as 45, which the 235 consistently records it. I have other issues with the watch, but just wanted to point out the main problem with thee optical HRM for anyone interested. Seriously thinking of sending it back.

Hey Lance. Thanks for sharing. I actually bought the watch knowing that optical heart rate has yet to reach its prime. But to be honest I also think the watch is not far off my values. My values maintained consistent once I put the watch tight enough, not too tight, but snug. Duing the rest of the day I loosen the strap one or two holes and I turn it off at night because I don't like to sleep with a watch. I have not been surprised yet if something seems a bit off with my reading. My RHR always oscilates from around 45 to around 55. I know that. But where I do wish to test the watch is in my HRV measurements. I have been consistently measuring HRV for over 4 months now. I do it with my polar h7 chest strap and my HRVFORTRAINING app. I can also measure HRV with the iphone camera if I need to or feel like it. But I still can't measure my HRV with the FR 235 and this certainly annoys me. The app for HRV exists and you find it in the iq app store, but for some reason the developer of the app has not taken his time to make the app compatible with the 235, wtf. - sorry for the long answer, in other words: I'm still happy with the watch and aware that the optical HR technology is still not 100% accurate. Cheers.

So you only eat plants???? WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR PROTEIN??? Just kiddin. Like me, you will live forever. I've been KILLING these oats n berries: a few oat poured in a huge coffee mug, blackberries, blueberries and raspberries, more raw oats and a little pineapple juice poured in, very little with a chopped banana on top. To DIE for. Love you man; great vid!!

HR accuracy of this watch sucks! I worked for me fine for three outings, but now doesn't show HR any lower than 75 bmp. No amount of resets or factory resets have worked. Being returned tomorrow.

Eddie Weigelt did you select it as a data field? When you define the amount of data fields you have you can also define each data field.

Master Plant Eater Ⓥ yes I did. I think I may have set it up the wrong way. I'm still getting used to it and trying to set it up the way you have it. But for some reason it still is only giving me the option for 3 fields at most.

How's the brightness on the watch face? Looks difficult to read even after you clicked on the back light button.

+zangst55 hey! it is good, I haven't had a problem with reading the faces. I think it must be the video. You can see other videos of the watch and see for yourself.
