Yep. Saw this when my parents freezer over produced while on vacation, froze the freezer door open until it was perpetually cracked to thaw the ice out while also continually freezing the condensate moisture from the ambient air … the floor buckled just like that in three places and went about 20 feet to the next room!
Thanks for the comments. Turns out there is heavy items on the end of the floor so the floor can not expand but we installed vinyl flooring, which is better in the humidity down in Galveston? I don't think wood floors are the way to go anymore. Also, the side of the house has no gutter where the water just lays and moisture goes underneath the foundation. Is to rot the wood sub floor

most likely cause is no room for expansion around the edges as its got hot and grew thats caused it to pop. laminate flooring is a bad product.
