I appreciate you watching! Maybe you can take some baby steps by wearing your hair out on the weekends to become more comfortable with it? When I first went natural I wasn’t crazy about going out with my hair in two strand twists. But once I became comfortable styling them etc, I started to “own it” a bit more! Takes time to find your comfort level.

Thank you! I haven't done one in a very long time, but I have some older videos on the process I followed. The key is the hydrolyzed wheat protein because the molecules are small enough to be absorbed in the hair shaft.

Appreciate you watching! Regarding shaving the side, really I thought “Am I ready to let my locs go all together?” So I started by cutting row by row from the back of my head to the front. And once I got to the middle, I thought “I’m not ready to let them go just yet!” Feeling good with what I have now, and am learning different ways to style it and keep it interesting.
Definitely not thinking of letting them go. I just have the fuzziest hair on the planet!! I am thinking of shaving/tapering the edges in back and MAYBE on the sides (like 2 rows) to keep it as near as I can around the fringe and give it a little yasssss when I don't have it in an updo. lol @ "give it a little yasssss" TOTALLY UNDERSTAND! As for the fuzzies, that's a tough one. There's so much back and forth as to if pruning damages the integrity of your locs. For me it wasn't an issue. But if you have someone doing it that's scissor-happy, it could be a different story. Maybe you re-evaluate at year 2 and see what kind of progress your locs have made at that point in time.

What size are your locs?
I'd say they are a medium size loc about the thickness of a pencil. I do have some that are smaller/thicker as well.
