  • This video is a snippet of my journey into off-roading and learning the art of jumping table tops as well as other challenging dirt mounds while traveling in the state of Washington. Although this video does not go into depth, it is a compilation of the day I overcame the fear of jumping more complex dirt mounds with the help of Wes, the 6 year old Boy Wonder. So, sit back and enjoy the 2nd of many series of videos I will be posting of my travels to the west coast.

      Ummm., my pedal clipping and bruised knuckles says otherwise. Lol. No, seriously., it's different and quite the workout. You learn some serious survival skills if nothing else. How to duck and dodge rocks, branches, cliffs, field rats., you name it and you have to be prepared for it. Lol

    Awesome video. I too am mostly a street rider and those jumps and bumps look crazy. The streets in SF are bad enough so maybe I can handle a beginner track.

    Hey Vee glad to see ya back! Thought you'd given up on reviews since I've haven't seen anything from you for a while. Dirt jumps are great to learn on & a set of good jump pads that lock the foot in are critical. For me at least. Sometimes I practise at skateparks to get over the fear of going up steep angles plus its nice to mix with the kids. In my neck of the woods, wheels are still as rare as a saucer sighting so the sk8 boyz are quite receptive to having a old(er) wannabe join in. Makes me feel young again hangin with 'em kidz.

    • @VeeEUC
      @VeeEUC  3 года назад +2

      Oh yeah, I'm glad to be back. I was on a healing mission after the accident so I haven't been too active in the community. As far as wheel reviews go., it would seem.., and this is just MY opinion, that if you do not give glowing reviews on a wheel, you then limit your ability to get first dibs on wheels to review. I was slated to view the V12, but I guess InMotion was not too satisfied with my V11 review and all but refused the distributor a demo wheel to review. Oh well. Lol
      Also, jumping while off roading was new to me and I feared the loose dirt and the decline of the table tops would cause me to slip and fall. But you know, that comes with the territory. I must say, once I get enough time under my belts, it will come together. For sure. :)

    Vee, how does one become an prospect to join the DC Glydiators EUC gang?

    • @VeeEUC
      @VeeEUC  3 года назад

      I am no longer associated with that group of riders nor am I a welcomed person. ( I was not given an explanation nor care to hear one at this point.) I belong to another band of riders, DC Collective and Fast & Fun. We embrace all kinds of riders and respect their opinions whether they align with ours or not. Its's about the ride, not egos. I will caution you though., there are bylaws that you must follow to become a Glydiator. Best follow those rules or you will get kicked out, and will need to request a "tribunal" to get reinstated. (Their words, not mine.) The bylaws are roughly three or so pages. Interesting read. So if you do join them.., take a gander at the laws or at a minimum, get an attorney to decipher some of the language that is used. (SERIOUSLY)
      Good luck with that!

      @@kevolicious That would make the two of us. A couple of fellows that experienced the same shunning have created a group called DC Collective and Fast and Fun Rides. Both can be found on Telegram. I believe Fast and Fun Rides is on Meet-Up.
