2:50 Typically, wood molding would be installed on the concrete walls around a room. The molding is installed about two feet below the ceiling, mainly used as decoration but also for hanging picture frames, etc.
That could be a breakthrough for us. We've asked everyone and this is the first time we heard a solution/explanation. Thanks!
an advice to you, in cities like luzhou or chongqing, it makes sense to buy an apartment/condo if u plan to stay there for a few years. it is always different from rental homes. besides, the transaction cost of selling a home is much lower than that in the states(6% I remember). it is more like 2% in china. chinese view houses as a store of value. so as long as you buy at a decent location for market price it is hard to loss on that real estate investment.
It does make sense and we have toyed with the idea a few times. We've put it off to buy equipment for making films and building a working studio but there may come a day. Thanks for the insight!
congrats!
Thanks!
Damn, a pad like that in New York would cost an arm and a leg. Feels like a New your vibe with the high rise. Nice Awesome collection!
No kidding. Thanks!
Congratulations on moving to Chongqing.
Thank you very much. 😁
China will be very happy when people like you consider China their second home at least . China want to attract good people to her so she will be a stronger nation tbs 💪 . By the way HAPPY TEACHER DAY what !
Oh yea! Teacher Day! Thanks for the good thoughts!
housing is really affordable in small cities in china. this apartment in a big city would easily go for 5 figures(10k rmb is about 1500usd still very cheap). regarding the closet, it is up to the owner to make build in closet or stand alone closet as they like. but if the owners intend to rent, then something may be missing. I can attest that the relatively huge apartment i own in shanghai, it didn't come with a closet either. the kitchen is normally a cube, given the owmer the room to design cabinet space themselves. but with rental apartments owners tend to go simple. I have my own dryer, though it is not common. most people prefer hang dry.
It's funny because we've been here so long that hang dry, buying closets etc. has become second nature but it's always in the back of our mind. It's hard to remember life with a dryer! 😆
@@ChongqingEmily I got so used to dryer and dishwasher while we were living in the states that now we live in china we got them too.
Love the garden.
Beautiful community
We're really enjoying it thanks.
Home is where the supper dish is!
Most staff probably use on campus cafeterias more than their kitchen I bet.
It's true. We have a meal card for the cafeterias but we also have a little village of private mom & pop restaurants that are much better so we eat there a lot. 😋
My goodness you should get a lot of stuff I think as a fridge in China most people had for over 20 years at least
We have a lot of living to do!
Free apartment in NYC would be 50% of your income package? so your income in NYC would drop to minimum wage to make up for it? sounds about, right?
Guh. About right. 😉
Where does your restlessness come from?
