I hate how the main character doesn't balance his centrifuge. That's how you break your precious lab equipment and send the internal contents flying into the lab
The voice acting wasn't bad; however, the main character's vocal tone and sighing after every sentence started to get to me after a while lol.
Same. I was practically going HOARSE everytime he spoke or broke down. He makes me have headaches and you'd THINK he was done talking but he just KEEPS TALKING. Steven was right abt him shutting the ef up
Yea! It was SUPER inconsistent, the probably most obvious part where he was freaking out in the hallway at 1:50:10 going "JESUS CHRIST!" "hey Mr. Ripley" "JESUS CHRIST!" is like....so fucking crazy and comical.
And yea, guy sighs or says "I'am tired" like every other sentence. It's WAAAY too much.
I pretty much never leave a comment on videos, so today I leave a note to self: comment more often for the friendly neighbourhood algorithm.
The main character talks so much, it makes me want to be the body in an autopsy.

That has to hurt, back then during age of Pre Colonial Age, the ships doctor would use a needle to make sure the corpse is really dead, mostly at the palms or anywhere the skin is sensitive to feel pain.
I liked that one. I was surprised by the ending, I thought for sure Jack was going to be the one killing everyone - then forgetting
WHAAAT!? WTF WAS THAT ENDING!? Jeeesus......bro, you go through this nightmare hell that is this dudes life and you gain no conclusions other than...he gets killed and so does ridley? Like, WTF bro? I felt so terrible for Jack even after finding out that he killed his wife. Guy was obviously tortured by causing her death to the point of near or actual insanity. And what made the whole thing worse if you just change that detail all the ppl around his life are still awful as well, aside from Charlotte and I guess Ridley (near the end, anyways). Just kinda heart breaking overall.
What a bummer of a game. Also, I do agree with you minx that the character talked WAAAAY too much, totally brought me out the atmosphere it was creating and with what was happening. Then in Chapter 4 when the music got alot more intense (and loud) it just helped rubbed out the atmosphere even more.
Really don't like the "lets just not make an actual ending" ending but other than that, the game is not terrible (other than the glitches you obviously had to deal with, which were TOO much) but boi, would it be nice if they actually added an ending in an update, fixed the glithces and maybe pad out the game sequences or just remove unnecessary dialogue since those parts help detract from the feeling it's trying to give off as well as just makes the experience jarring.
I honestly like how much the character talks, takes the edge off the gore and the scary parts

The Autopsy of Jane Doe was a really good horror movie. Like it surprised me how good it was.
The idea of watching this video as one of students is kinda funny, watching him be anywhere but on camera
The dialogue is the best part honestly, I think the issue is theres not enough game to pace it out.
I think my only real issue is the story. We never find out what happened with the ring. Then it ends so abruptly, there is not closure and Ridley gets murdered!
Considering he already has to talk for the audience to get what’s even going on during autopsy’s (and he films lectures) they could’ve used the autopsies to put his personality out and cut back outside of it.

If I played this game with those glitches, I'd get so frustrated. But I liked the story and investigative elements.

That ending twist could have been good if it was better thought out.
Honestly? I thought the reveal was gonna be that Jack had nothing to do with Alice's death but insisted on performing her autopsy, because he couldn't trust anyone else to do it. But no, it was the standard horror fodder.
Steven's characterisation was very poorly thought out and didn't have any foreshadowing that made the twist satisfy, and before it could even sink in, he gets shot by the security guard. I did notice that Jack was being given drugs he wasn't meant to take - the yawning felt like a 'horror game cough' and his comment about how it takes him forever to get through a bottle, and they should have done something with the drug test being involved in the ending. I feel like it needed another 2-3 chapters and major story events to really earn its ending. It squashed itself into those last few moments and did itself a major disservice. Reveal that Red Pete was found dead in another chapter, have a few more moments when bodies Steven brings in have been tampered with, those kind of things. Give us more to chew on.
Wish the ending was better. Felt like it was just thrown together.

This was an interesting premise and I felt for the guy, but I just couldn't stand his constant sighing.
loved this game!!! honestly, im looking forward to more of these mortician/medical examiner games coming out in the future; even with all the technical issues, this was intensely interesting!

You often hear the term in crime media in reference to the characteristic petechiae on the faces of people who were asphyxiated or died of hypoxia. In this case, it's the result of drowning.
2:04:30 - Pretty sure that's a fragment of alligator skin and an osteoderm (the bumpy protrusions down a crocodilian's back). Don't forget that this game's location is in New Orleans, Louisiana; there be gators down there. Doubt a gator stripped the dude and tried to eat him; there'd be more than his head missing, for one thing. Not done with the video yet, but I can tell you that much.
2:37:05 - He's using a lot of medical terminology, specifically the anatomical language, which shouldn't be a huge surprise. Specifically, he was talking about the muscles responsible for extending and contracting the limbs when you took the photo of the stiff's naughty bits. Yes, it's very jargon-heavy, but that's to be expected of a video-taped lecture on autopsy; you get a lot of talk with medical terminology. Honestly, it's easy for me to get, but that's because I'm a freak who's weirdly good at medical terminology because I studied Latin and know enough Greek to figure out most terms.
03:22:10 - about this point, I'm becoming convinced that the main character is a killer. The killer? He's a killer, I'm convinced, lol.
Also yes, while a lot of his dialogue is good, there is just a neverending stream of it, which ruins the bits that are important, because even I don't talk to myself that much, and I talk just to talk sometimes lmfao. Like with my first born, the doctor told me it's good to talk to babies even though they're babies. One time at a market, a woman approached me and legit said "I have been listening to you all over the market, and I wish I'd talked to my babies as much as you do! I mean, they're in their 20's, so it worked out, but I was too embarrassed back then!" XD

I will fully admit that MC talked so much outside of the autopsies that at a point I started to tune him out. As such, I think I missed a lot regarding the wife/Alice and so the ending feels both abrupt and out of nowhere. Still, I did enjoy the descent into madness and the autopsy game loop.

This was a fun one
Story and mechanics wise, it's been a really intriguing game. I like seeing different takes to the troubled protagonist storyline and I feel like I can emphasize with him. If it wasn't glitchy at times and had smoother dialogue, it would have been a perfect one. That said, still a great one to recommend to people
I think the voice acting was great, but the voice direction and scripting was a real problem. Also, I'm not sure I'd take Jack's confession on face value, considering Steven's surprise campaign of terror (assuming that scene actually happened!) Thanks for the play-through!

I don’t get what people are saying in unrealistic here other than this man touching anything end everything without taking any of his PPE off, I enjoyed this much more than mortuary assistant. Also, unless someone dies in a medical setting or the family refuses autopsy, you have to do a complete autopsy to make sure there aren’t any underlying medical conditions or circumstances that would affect the cause or manner of death.

ngl the fact that so many games now break the dialog if you so much as walk to much is annoying like if im going to run into a spot were i might be faster than the subtitles slow me down with them walking instead of running

I definitely understand the hate for the voice acting; it's awful & I would've either found a way to shut it off & just worked with subtitles, muted the whole game, or stopped playing. The constant sighing every other line is unbearable.
This game seems to have promise, but his incessant talking, sighing and game breaking made it seem awful. Didn't the game makers play test or take any advice on it before releasing it.
