I know a kid who is the son of a founder of seafood restaurant chain. He got set up with a pretty girl and after a brief dating period they got married immediately. Had kids. Hes currently managing one of the newer restaurants his dad placed out in the Midwest. Will eventually inherit everything. All because of who his father was. Hes set for life.

then that means he's smart enough/as capable as his father if he's able to manage the chain without fking it all up.

Nepotism will just get you hired in a job that pays 300k+. What a stupid take from Martin.

this, also your upbringing/environmental factors def help. Having a feeling of saftey and never lacking food will give a chance for people to develop skills.

That same kid could very well lose his job if he’s incompetent or a drunk. Nepotism will only help you get your foot in the door. That’s what shkreli was saying when he brought up hunter Biden.

I mean, it doesn't matter if you're trying to develop drugs or whatever, but it sure helps for the 99% of fake jobs out there.

Right. It doesn't matter if your productivity has an objective measure. A lot of jobs don't have this or it is flexible.

I used to play Rust. I could build bases OK, but as the game progresses there is a big rumble at the end. I would get destroyed by kids. My straragey was to hide. Too slow to fight.

Alfred Adler one said that spoiling your children was akin to abusing them, because you weren’t preparing them for the world.

This is all facts I graduated from CUNY Brooklyn College in May ‘24 and now work at a family office with a series 7 on Wall Street. A lot of the kids I graduated with had 0 ambition! It was still very hard to get my job, I go it because the principal of the firm graduated from my high school… Baruch can get you a great job out of graduation… bk college def not

This is more so status obsessed people who want their kids to be working for some company they think is high status
Normal wealthy people who dont care about any of that ego stuff just give their kids money to start their own businesses

Nepotism doesn't help. What does help if you're from the New England boarding school and Ivy leagues is receiving a $200k loan from your parents for asset accumulation between 16 to 25. If you're half way competent you'll have more wealth than them by your 30s from that. Your parents also get a healthy profit in the process.

An MBA from Harvard, Yale, Stanford, MIT, are the ONLY things that will help you.
    Any lesser school will not.
