PS sorry about your audio. Just stop by as I saw someone who hadn't reacted to this. Been watching it for a while now still loves in people's initial reactions. Hang in there.
Definitely mind-blowing. My personal interpretation.... after MANY watches. Ronnie in the plane someone said they thought it meant he was seen as the villain and has been kind of made the bad guy when in fact he had just saved the world themes and closer inspection there were bombs on the plane and it was somehow possibly being flown creative destruction. While he is falling and rapping you can pick out the parts where he's saying similar things as he has said and zombified talking about people being too sensitive. Some of it also to do with the industry which is where it segways after he lands and shows the snakes. Then is you said the idea that you thought was soldiers cuz I believe it's the paparazzi that's always following him. Then he goes at Star wars type of area where he makes comments about that he's going to go dark he's going to go Disney.... Thinking visit Disney is the new Disney it's darker. To me at that point he seems to still be asking for help with the internal battle struggling against. One little fun tidbit when you see what looks to be a bare-chested singer waving his fist at the sky ... being pelted by laptop computers falling onto him and knocking him down. Referencing a fight with an older metal guy from an apparently famous band that I can't recall... Went on line about how lame it was that Falling in Reverse cancel the concert because they didn't have their laptops. Arguing that a real band would be able to just get up and keep playing without that. Obviously Ronnie's music and why performances are on a new level than what was the case who knows when.... But Ronnie took the opportunity to put in a representative character from the guys younger days and having all the laptops can falling on him. Ronnie is so funny 😊 Anyway, the way I see the rest is that he was basically asking for help or warning that he was close to the edge and then it goes into The surreal mode of him sitting across the table with his demon. The way he typed what Ronnie was saying I believe showed that that demon was putting the words and run his mouth at that point and he was trying to fight back to some degree.... But both coming to a confrontation it blew him backwards into the arms of the zombie nuns. ( Okay). So the transition into the metal portion in the church shows the priest with a Bible and across and holding it out toward him as he's seems to be trying to exorcise him. Ronnie goes on in the song talking about how pain and sorrow fuel the fear and to some degree points the finger at the church I think it's really more representative of the entire society now in a way ... So as they try to get him and they're all trying to escape Ronnie his crescendo saying how people will eventually learn "that everything they've taught you is a lie". ... Again I think representative I've noted religious organizations and figures have been the news as well as society and what we've been taught and what's been left out and how everything can be spun to achieve a goal. So at the end... The destruction is the symbolism of the world burning around us. To me it is more of a call for people to wake up.
Excellent observations! I felt I notice some of the things you mentioned but more so know after reading what you said. I recall Ronnie and the one dude on Twitter's beef bout the laptops. I was with Ronnie on it, but now the music video makes a lot of sense. His team is super creative with this videos. I didn't even pick up on the him being a villian, or made out to be the villain. Makes sense now. Also, and no idea if its related or not. The 3rd video I did a reaction too (Will be live end of the week) is Falling in Reverses Last Resort cover, and I felt the two videos are related. Either way, appreciate the words!
@@DravenReactions yes his reimagining of Papa Roach's song Last Resort (with their blessing by the way) does seem to have that bit of connection .. . Which I won't mention here if it hasn't been aired yet. Ronnie is amazing about hiding little "easter eggs". In his creations. Love it. I will add my disclaimer again that the interpretation I gave is not sanctioned by anybody that's what I thought. I think it's fun to talk about it the most times I think of a quote that Mike Patton of Faith No More and many other bands said in an interview.... People keep asking what different songs meant. He explained that most times there may be a general idea when they create a song but in his development of it he looks for words and the cadence of those words that best fit the music. You felt like the words were supposed to enhance primarily. And beyond that he felt like when things are not so spelled out and obviously give us the listeners away interpreted into their own. Making it were different people will get different things out it. I find that's true even if not intentionally. If I want a real story with the plot that makes completed sense I'll watch a movie or read a book. 🙃
Love FIR. Funnily this is a response to a beef that slipknot has started with him. Watch the world burn is just crazy. Sleeptoken has also had a phenomenal rise. There is a great cover of their song Chokehold by Will Ramos from Lorna Shore. There is a new Metallica album as well. And then there is Ren, who is just Ren and the phenomenon of the year. Check out Hi Ren. And bring the tissues for FIR Last Resort Cover. For fun, did you know that Opera singer The Charismatic Voice, vocal guru Chris Liepe, and Sleep token super screamer Will Ramos designed a screaming course together? Oh, and give Måneskin a go. They are beautifully irreverent and know how to rock.
