I live in-between Jasper/Jennings, Florida and this is the best Ian storm report that I've seen yet...concisely and well-explained, without unnecessary detail. Thank you, because now I can go about my day - planning and preparing. Very professional.
Thank you!!! This is a absolutely THE BEST storm reporting I have EVER heard!!! I do not know this reporters name, but KUDOS!!! The facts presented concisely and clearly, then a reminder about what to do with the information plus encouragement to not be anxious and then some good relevant discussion. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Finally, a weather forecaster who speaks at a pace I can understand. Very good ennunciation and clear explanation. Most weather people just jabber on so fast that you cannot hear what the heck they are saying.
I came to the comments section just to check out if people were seeing what I was seeing: This guy is a great meteorologist! I've never seen him before, and I don't normally get impressed by a weather report... but Tony was a standout! I'm happy to see that this was obvious to everyone else watching... Good news for Tony, and for everyone else out there - stay safe in the coming week!
He is Young, Handsome and Extremely Intelligent. This profession fits him perfectly. Keep up the good work Tony Sadiku and by the way everyone be safe 😊😊😊
Checking storm-updates, I saw this video -- and what a find!!👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾👍🏾Tony's weather reporting & forecasting is *masterful!* My folks all remarked on his comprehensive presentation after Tony conveyed the status of the storm, the diff btwn the tracking models, the significance of the 'cone', etc. Then his wrap-up summary w/key takeaways for viewers was on-point! -- I d/k *who* wouldn't want to be prepared w/their emergency kits, etc., after listening to Tony. Do treat this man well, eh, and give him a raise asap! 🧑🏾🏫 KUDOS! Love from 🇯🇲
Like many other's comments - I'm from Lakeland, been a faithful follower of Fox 13 Tampa Bay back to the Roy Leep days, have loved almost every on-air meteorologists, first time seeing this guy and, MAN!, this guy is awesome. Excellent work Mr. Sadiku!! Excellent on-air presence!! Great orator! Good job, Fox 13 TB, for putting this guy on. Go Tony!!! Paul - we still love you
Ok everyone here in Florida get to Publix and stock you refrigerator full on Monday or Tuesday. This way when the storm hits on Wednesday or Thursday and you lose power. You throw it all out on Friday.
Thank you Tony Sadiku. This is a very professional, well explained & calm report. Just found you yesterday watching all the reports for the updates & I'm sticking with you. All the info without the panic or fluff.
Thanks Tony for such a detailed, easy to understand report! You have wonderfully articulate speech! I depend on you for latest updates, my only source is my mobile! God bless you and everyone at Fox's 13 weather!
Wonderful update - and I’d like to reiterate a previous comment: give this man a raise! To my friends who have recently relocated to Florida remember, to his point in this video, we really DON’T KNOW where this storm is going to land. Better to be prepared for the worst case scenario and have the best case scenario be the outcome, than the other way round.
all u scaredy cat tourists/snowbirds are the ones buying up all the water, batteries&food. Hint-if u live 50+miles from the coastline you are in the clear. Also, send more tourists, our gators LOVE the way they taste!
Got to be impressed with how far science and meteorologist has come, so we can predict where it will be in 4 more days.. This just saves lives. Praying for all maybe impacted from UK
A day ago: “It wont affect the panhandle.” Yeah right. These massive deadly storms almost ALWAYS shift to the West once they enter the Gulf. You watch and see: it will move up the Alabama/Georgia line like most of them do.
These weather people are like snake oil salesman. They sell anything to make money. Living in areas overseas and in the south most of my 63 years on earth, these weather people just guess and then act as if they were correct when it hits land.
Really good presentation. He mentions all the important variables particularly the divergent approach currently with the two major models ECM and GFS. Either way with the worst impacts of any hurricane concentrated on the eastern side of the circular flow, this is a really bad track for the west coast of Florida, with the very latest tracking suggesting Fort Myers to Tampa in the firing line.
One thing not mentioned... if it follows the European and steers eastward into Tampa, you're likely looking at a much more significant landfall event since it won't make it up into the northern wind sheer and will probably land as a 3 or 4.
I really hate the uncertainty of Ian. I have been through the worst of the worst in cat 5s on the islands and south Florida costing both life and property as well as every other catagory. It's a total shame with advancement in technology today regarding Hurricaynes are concern that civilization is facing unpredictability once again . West coast of Florida does not have the required building codes that the east Florida coast has today. Where the east coast can handle a cat 4 direct now of days, the west coast unfortunately can not barely if any get past a cat three safety . This storm should not be a guessing game at all.
First off ,you can't even spell...HURRICANE.. Second off I don't believe one word of your comment. As I've lived in Florida for over 40 years in many places. So ,actually what 3rd world country do you live in?

Most people don't know what isobars are and most don't care for them! This guy is the best I've heard on the storm. Give Caesar what's due to Caesar and stop the bias!
