Aside from good, you also need a singer who is smart and considerate in which they can match your level and energy and blend with you in a harmony, not overtake you or falling behind (sometimes they do this to make you shine more but this will jeopardise the performance due to imbalance as well). In these aspects, Liza Hanim, Khai Bahar and Aina Abdul are among few names you should choose from. If you choose Shila Amzah, you're basically shooting yourself on the foot. My personal favourite duets in competition are Suki Low/Khai Bahar - 3 Malam Tanpa Bintang in GV8, Jaclyn Victor/Aina Abdul - Cinta in GV9, Daniel Chuer/Aisha Retno - Roman Picisan/Denting in Big Stage 4. Rare entry Naqiu/Hady Mirza - Ha Tepok in GV6.
