I was 11 when this came out. As soon as I heard it on the AM radio stations in Los Angeles I was hooked. I was on the phone immediately calling the record shop asking him when he was going to get it in. That guitar hook gets me every time. One of their best songs.
It's not just one of their best songs, but also one of the best songs of the '60s, maybe all time. Right up there with the Beatles, just as good as the best things they ever did. Sounds just like it should, I appreciate the more center-oriented vocals
From the very first time, that I heard Waterloo Sunset, I instantly loved it. It describes perfectly the way I feel about things, only swapping the word Waterloo for my hometown of Philadelphia.
I've always thought this song could use a good remix. What I really would like, but still haven't heard, is for somebody to bring up that beautiful crunchy guitar in the left channel during the hook. I'm guessing it must be an issue with it being paired with something else on the original source track so you can't really raise it's presence without affecting something else. It's a shame because it would really add so much for the rock in that part to come out a bit.
This tune never looses it's charm!

Sounds very good with headphones! Cheers.
Can you recommend a good pair of headphones for around 200 bucks?
