@@LydiBugB-zk2ls It's not based on the birth per se, since OG Asian cultures are based on the LUNAR calendar, Lunar Calendar adds 1 year each new year, regardless of when you were actually born in (so technically by our metrics Maomao would have been 16 at the start, instead of 17 etc etc)
I think the idea is, like, instead of your age meaning “how many full circuits has the Earth completed around the sun starting from the day you were born”, it’s “how many calendar years have you been alive in”. So obviously, if someone was born in June 2019, the answer would’ve been “1” for the remainder of that year. And all through 2020, it’d be “2”. And so on.

Implying that Jinshi is supposed to act differently than he might be inclined to otherwise act.
It's too bad Jinji doesn't have the authority to reassign Lishu's Ladies in Waiting.
For clarification since I kind of like the current emperor in the anime, He isn't a dude that'd go for a 14 year old but Rishu was still brought back to the palace due to political reasons.
His Dad, the previous emperor though... Yeah Dowager was young and so was Rishu, I won't give it an excuse like in the story though
Officially Jinshi is 25. That`s an extra info which U suppose wouldn`t be brought in anime
Alicia be pretty good at picking up the clues compared to a lot of other reactors on this. It's pretty cool to watch.
About backstory,Ah duo are the most interesting.
The previous emperor had a thing for the young girls. The current one is more for mature women
Yeah Chinese generally didn't celebrate hard, or couldn't afford to celebrate hard for birthdays, unless if you were a senior and had a whole family. Usually you just got one extra bowl of noodle.
Well, unless if you were the emperor.
Great to see your presence and your great site. I was deeply impressed and learn a lot.
Asking for a friend, are there dangers or something to consider if you get a sponsor deal?
I wish there would be a birthday episode. Unfortunately, traditionally celebrating one's birthday is mostly a western concept. Traditionally in China, a birthday celebration would only really occur certain ages or if you were very rich and could afford to let people know you blessed this earth with your birth.
19:04 perhaps not the best nickname for her lol
I know it doesn't aplly here, but this is the latest video. I just started to watch Legend of Korra Book 1 reactions here, and I wanted to ask if we return to that show in the near future?
The old doctor was/is a eunuch, Maomao father...
so did she give up on the series?
She is already around ep 20 on Patreon so I dont think she's dropping it
@@rygornspectre7142 so is this going to be a pateron only for the rest? because its been a few days and no new episode on the youtube channel. kinda disapointed if that's the case.
not quite correct to say foster siblings, they just had the same wet nurse. basically saying they're probably around the same age and might be friends from childhood.
I can't figure another way of making a suggestion for an anime in the future so I'm making it here, try Reincarnated as a Sword but be warned that you will willingly join the Church of Fran.
The plot thickens…

Day 6 of asking for moriarty the patriot reactions :D
Anyone who comments with a 'correction' that is something that will be revealed in a future episode, even if it's the next episode, is posting a spoiler. Whether they do it because they're deliberately being an asshat, or they're too dense to understand what a spoiler is, doesn't matter. Ban hammer. Justified.
