I work for a body shop and here's the break down of what could have and what could happen. 1. Calling the cop DOESN'T mean the guy goes to jail. 2. The guy gets a ticket for driving without insurance, license etc. 3. The cops will only tell you to take it to small claims court and the guy will literally pay you like 10$ a month for the damages you have to pay out of pocket. 4. I respect Randy's decision to give him 2 weeks to come up with at least half the money because he won't get it paid through small claims court. 5. If the guy doesn't come up with some money check your own insurance (I'm sure Randy has full coverage) to see if you're covered against uninsured motorists or just claim it as hit and run since you have his information such as license plate and everything regardless Any questions just feel free to ask :)

Michael Pierce I was about to comment the same exact thing man. I was in the same situation and I let that person go but we had a payment plan set up. And guess what nothing ever happend. I ate the cost because of my insurance and a week later the same guy totaled another car with a family in it. Yep i felt bad then that's when the cops got involved, I could have prevented it. So then and he went to jail, got out never showed up to court, has a warrant, then come to find out the guy became homeless and living at a shelter and then after disappeared. Cops couldn't find him anymore or me..

3. The cops will only tell you to take it to small claims court and the guy will literally pay you like 10$ a month for the damages you have to pay out of pocket.
4. I respect Randy's decision to give him 2 weeks to come up with at least half the money because he won't get it paid through small claims court.
5. If the guy doesn't come up with some money check your own insurance (I'm sure Randy has full coverage) to see if you're covered against uninsured motorists or just claim it as hit and run since you have his information such as license plate and everything regardless

Your if he can't afford insurance then don't drive get a moped. I ate the cost because of my insurance and a week later the same guy totaled another car with a family in it. Yep i felt bad then that's when the cops got involved, I could have prevented it. So then and he went to jail, got out never showed up to court, has a warrant, then come to find out the guy became homeless and living at a shelter and then after disappeared.
