So glad for these tips. I have a question though: I did a rebake, where I baked the same pieces 3 times all in all. Doing so, I ended up with the tiny elements (fingers on a hand) getting brittle and breaking off. Was this due to rebaking? Are there any tips to avoid it?
Ooh, I've never had this happen tbh, though my models are pretty 'chunky' - so I suspect it may be because your elements are too small and delicate. If this is the case, there's not a lot you can do other than bulking up your creations a little.
You'll need to bake at the same temp (under your manufacturer's baking guidance) to ensure your raw clay has baked properly. Burning should only occur if your oven is too hot.
Can I cover my polymer clay figure with aluminum foil while you baking it in the oven? I attended a polymer clay workshop on making figures, two years ago and my mentor did is he covered our polymer clay figures with aluminum foil.

Great tips. I've wanted to try out polymer clay for years! I feel (a fair bit) more confident about trying now.
Ah, nice one. Good luck! 👍

This is really interesting! 👍🌴❤️
Thanks! 👍
When rebaking do, I have to bake at a lower temp? , Iv always been afraid that I'll burn the parts that is already baked or turn dark

Thank you for the tips. Can you bake in a toaster oven? Tfs and God Bless 🥰 💜
Thanks! I've no experience with toaster ovens tbh so it's probably best to contact the polymer clay manufacturer 👍
@@ClayDisarray thank you🥰
I do, and I find it's actually more reliable than my regular oven.
@@adhdhamster thank you for your advice! I will definitely try a toaster oven now!🥰
@@designsbydawn976 no problem! I hope it works out for you! Good luck ☺️

I've never come across this method tbh (I'm completely self-taught) so I've really no idea if it promotes a better bake, etc
