For the guy who said he wishes skolnick would put out a metal video, he basically applied this knowledge to distorted guitars and brought some very original stuff to the metal genre, guys like Chuck Schuldiner and Marty Friedman did the same thing. I am getting this to broaden my knowledge of lead guitar and to become better at it. I play metal music a lot of thrash and want to be a better lead player.

It's hilarious that Testament's guitarist is teaching the Jazz DVD; I love it when guys just love music for the challenge that music presents not just the genre they play.

@Manowar4life1234 Most people think that he dyes it to look cool or something but he actually has had natural strands of grey since childhood.

@HurricaneTBag I think he's originally a Jazz player :) I don't know much about him but it's kinda obvious that he's very Jazz inclined and influenced even in Testament - in my opinion.

this seems like it would be a cool instructional dvd. i have nothing against jazz because it is great music, but i would love to see skolnick on a metal dvd. eric peterson is putting out a rockouse dvd so i cant wait, seeing as how im more of a heavy rhythm guy. still tho, skolnick is a genius

Y vos pensas que solo porque es un guitarrista de heavy metal no va saber tocar otros estilos?
Eso es hipocrita de tu parte. Yo, asi como toco heavy, tambien toco, blues, folk y hasta tango!!!!
