This is the first time I have heard this song as a victory song, Dan takes you through a new believer's first tentative steps of humbled faith straight through to the the last promise fulfilled and transforming from a simple believer to triumphant Knower of God's promise delivered. I will never hear this song sung again without feeling the Victorious blessing at the end. WOW what a "amazing" revelation! Thank you for reacting to this.

7/1/23 Three weeks ago I'd never heard of Dan Vasc, then "Amazing Grace" appeared and I was hooked. I'm going full throttle through his channel, listening to covers that are as good as or better than the originals. God gave him talent and he has honed it to perfection. You will fall in love with that voice. He is truly amazing. God bless! Enjoy!

The Wolves Storm (Priscilla's Song) from the Witcher 3 is great too, the metal and the more original version he sings them both great.
1st time hearing him. I think when two armies come to battle, put Dan in between to sing this and they'll go back home.

This song has been an integral inhabitant of my spiritual life from my conversion thru today. I feel this rendition brings it fully to life with an emotional depth I never heard before. Through his mastery of tone and intensity, Dan has taken us on a journey that begins with a very humbled new believer and leads to end in heaven (When we've been there ten thousand years bright shining as the Sun/Son.) when the Believer transforms into a Knower and comprehends the magnitude and scope of God's gift. The strength of his metal voice becomes a victory cry of joy for God's faithfulness. Not a big fan of metal, but this is and will be my favorite rendition of this powerful song. You are right Tazzz, always be open to finding new versions of a familiar song or you just might be missing a beautiful surprise.

It is a testimony to the evolution of faith: at the beginning we see the reverent shyness of a recent convert and at the end we see the joy of the son who - recognized and accepted - gratefully throws himself into the Father's arms.
Dan is a musical genius - he takes any song he wants and turns it into something better.
He becomes the song he sings.
He commented that as his faith grew stronger, he began to choose his versions more carefully so that he could bring people only high vibrations of joy, hope, real power and gratitude.

I'm really glad you liked it! I found his channel back on 9/15/29, when RUclips's algorithm suggested his cover of The Sound of Silence. Had no idea who he was back then, but clicked on it anyway, figuring I could turn it off if I didn't like it. Well, I loved it, and it didn't hurt at all that he looks just how I imagined one of my story's main characters. I've since listened to everything on his channel, am in to many new bands, follow many RUclipsrs, and have new friends all over the world, all because I took a chance on one song. Oh, and I'm learning Brazilian Portuguese now, Dan's native language, so I can communicate with my Brazilian friends. Ah, the power of music!💪💪💪🤘🤘🤘

I'll keep that in mind. My current WIP is in its very early stages, though - only eleven pages in so far.
I've been following Dan for some years now, he is just incredible. I especially like when he "metallizes" songs that are not metal. He can sing anything, and his covers are often better than the original.
As already suggested by someone else, try I'll Make a Man Out Of You - Bring me to Life - Kiss from a Rose - Song of the White Wolf - all mindblowingly good renditions and examples of his range and vocal abilities. For me he is one of the best male singers ever.

Oh, he does have original songs. He wrote All Hail Friday Night Tights, the theme song for the podcast of the same name on Nerdrotics channel, and he's also in the band Fearless with his brother Davi and friends Gabriel and Giovanni, and they have an album called Chronicles of Ancient Wisdom, available on all platforms. Tale With No End, a song from the album, has an official music video and also an official lyrics video, and Behold My Land has a lyrics video as well. Also, there's some songs with OD on his channel that are original - look under playlists for OD, and he did an album with Orion's Reign, and those songs can be found on their channel. I love the DragonForce covers, especially Dawn Over A New World and Starfire, but just have fun exploring the channel and finding your own favorites. And now, I must leave as it's going on one in the morning.

My husband and I met in church when we were 11 years old and raised our 4 children in church and it was a piano, organ and hymns, obviously we didn't just sing and listen to hymns, we were always told our music was devil music.. When I heard this version of Amazing Grace I thought You Know I've Read And Studied The Bible and I know the 10 commandment, now my husband and I are 63 yrs old but I don't remember God saying Thou Shall Not Sing Humns Loud, Thou Shall Not Listen To Music That Has Anything but the piano and organ. THAT'S THE DEVILS MUSIC! So I asked my husband where that came from and he said OLD PEOPLE! This version gives me goosebumps.
