Australia's richest woman, Gina Reinhart is a mining magnate who inherited the company from her racist father, and continues the same racism towards Australia's indigenous population by blowing up sacred sites for iron ore. The artist, Vincent Namatjira is a well known indigenous artist who has painted many famous people in 'his view' of them, portraying them as he and many first nations people see them. She tried to swing her purse and get the painting removed because she donated some money to the gallery, but was rejected.

Dogs don't have a concept of tme or the mental capacity that would allow them to look forward to it.
So, no they absolutely were not.
However, it was already booked for them so it's irrelevant.
      *edit*
I see dog owners are upset. Your emotional attachment to your pet means you're assigning them abilities they do not have.
When they're excited about that thing you're about to do it's because they've associated your actions/preparations for the event with the event itself.
Without this context the dog would have absolutely no idea.
I suggest you read some research papers about dog brains.

3:09 the context behind the painting is that it was part of a collection of paintings all in the same style, all of rich people, and was making a statement about how rich people are not as they seem, and how the art itself is exposing the internal side of these people. Her asking to have the painting removed was exactly what this artwork is meant to represent.

I work at a dispensary as a manager in Oregon and I deal with male Karen’s and regular Karens all the time. I literally had a guy get so mad and cuss me out because his purchase was $20.16 but he only had a twenty out. He proceeded to tell me we’re a rip off and he’s so sick of this shit. He continues mumble complaining then tells me to use the change I have at the register which is pennies I put out for people who need a couple cents. This is my change I put there as a courtesy. I tell him ok but it’s only 6 cents so I still need a dime from him. He then reaches in his pocket and pulls out a handful, a literal handful of change and hands me the dime.
    Accomplished nothing except embarrassing himself.
I have to say Boomers are the worst. They’re always trying to get a deal and discounts on everything. If you don’t just give it to them for no reason, then they’ll literally post complaints. We do a deal on Wednesdays and they’ll come in on other days and want the discount. Like I owe them something.
Boomers have the mentality that a business will fail unless they spend their 10 dollars there. They don’t seem to understand that they’re trading money for goods or services and nobody owes them anything except the goods or services.

They come from a time where that used to be true. In a town you’d have one or two of the same business and you had to go in person pretty much. Your custom WAS important. Nowadays there’s so much choice, competition with city expansions, and the entire internet bringing so much extra custom. It seems some haven’t adapted to how much things have changed in their lifetime in terms of how much their singular custom actually means to a business anymore.

    Storytime:
When i was working in a restaurant we had so many horrible people come in, but one that stands out was in the summer of 2022. It was a Friday evening, everything seemed to be going smoothly then the phone rang. It was a woman asking to come in for her son’s birthday party with 10 guests. I told her that unfortunately for that evening we were fully booked and unable to take walk-ins of that size. She argued this for a while claiming that since it was her son’s birthday we should make an exception. I tried explaining that the date wasn’t the issue, the issue was that we physically did not have room for them. She eventually hung up the phone.
Fast forward 2 hours later, the same woman walks into the restaurant with not 10 but 14 guests (10 kids & 4 adults) demanding a table.
She tried to guilt me into giving her a table reserved for someone else, claiming that i was ruining her son’s birthday by not providing a table. I politely explained that had she made a booking in advance, i would have been more than happy to sit & serve them myself.
She was very unhappy with the service & started shouting abuse at me in front of all the children. Eventually my manager came over and told her exactly what I’d already told her, to which she left the restaurant.
However not before turning to me, telling me i was “awful” “selfish” and “cruel. And that I should pray i never see her again.
To this day i am still baffled by how many people assume that special occasions outweigh other peoples prior arrangements. Not Birthdays, anniversaries or even first dates! If you want to come to a restaurant, call & make a booking. If they say “we’re fully booked”, don’t waste everyone’s time being entitled. All that happens is you’ll make the other customers uncomfortable, & trust me, we all remember you.

not everyone celebrates, that will be a nightmare for neighbours with how much light pollution your emitting, you drive up the noise pollution too if there is sound (even if there isn’t people constantly driving, stopping & looking is loud) quite frankly there is a reason australia has a law that christmas lights have to be shut off at the same time parties & shit have to end and it’s so people respect their neighbours

Enshitification is an actual process and it's very interesting.
The examples would be Netflix or Spotify, and it applies when content loses what it's originally offering, increases ads whilst removing content and raises the subscription/price for less content than it originally had.
It's mainly about cutting costs, but the issue with it is there's never *enough* costs cut, and therefore it completely kills the business/product entirely.

9:15 Jesus WASN'T born in winter. It's impossible. The shepherds were out tending their flocks, which never occurred in winter. There was never a census held in winter. Mary could not be getting ripe dates from the trees in winter. Nothing that was happening at the time points to a winter birth. Surely not caring about the real birth date of Jesus is offensive, right?

7:01 .With the plane thing. I was once on a 4 hour flight to greece. Two children behind me start booting my chair even before taking off. I remember putting my airpods in to listen to music and i ended up falling asleep. I wake up to something tugging on my ear. It was the child behind me. My airpod fell from ear as i turned around to confront the parent about her control over the kid. It then falls below my seat and was lost until once the flight had ended. It was possible the worst 4 hours of my life, constant kicking and screaming and crying just really ruined my mood for my holiday. Thanks Ryanair!

I work in retail, a couple of times I've had someone DEMAND that I help them choose a food supplement for their needs. Thing is, not only was I in my lunch break at the time, just in the store buying something, I was even dressed in my regular clothes. One of those times the customer even asked to file a complaint.
Also, exact same situation happened to me once in a store where I have never worked at. The people who worked there wear plain black clothes with a green vest, I was wearing black clothes with a slipknot design (metal band) clearly visible on the face of my t-shirt. No amount of explaining that I didn't even work there made a difference. She even went to get a manager and brought him to talk to me while I was paying for my stuff. He looked so confused when he realized the woman was complaining that a customer refused to help her XD

I really like to see how the woman talking about the car locking noise would handle a neighbor with a straight-pipe exhaust pickup truck idling at 11 pm.
Also the fact most car keys you can lock pressing the button once, the sound it makes is only when you hit it twice. “Don’t lock your cars after 8 pm” makes me think this is some poor attempt of a psyop made by a thief.

One time me and my brothers were playing out back and the neighbors dog started barking, so jokingly I said “Be quiet!” (Without realizing the neighbor was there) because it was quite annoying and the neighbor said “No, you be quiet!” (Keep in mind that I’m a teenager and he’s probably 50 years old). He didn’t even say anything before I said “be quiet!” Long story short he ended up coming to our front door, YELLING at me for 10 minutes while I tried to explain it was a joke, then playing it off like it was fine and we were all friends 🥰. My parents agreed that he was being crazy and I handled it well. I admit the joke was in poor taste and I shouldn’t have said it but if you’re 50 years old you shouldn’t yell at teenagers. He also casually mentioned to my dad that he has guns. NOT the kind of neighbor you want. My friend in South Dakota has a neighbor called “Scary Mary” who calls the police on them for existing (they don’t do anything wrong basically). They got a restraining order against Scary Mary so that’s good.

The wait person asked me if everything was ok and i said it was fine apart from the music - they promptly showed me all the cds they had and i selected The Best if the Eurythmics. The second was a bit Kareny as i couldnt stand the k or j pop playing in one place and got it switched off. I also used to go to a pizza place underneath a railway bridge and you just had to suck up the loud music as it was there to drown out the continual train voice it was just a quirk of a fairly reasonable piace otherwise.
