Amazing video. U got me emotional. N all ur tips work for younger kids also. My daughter had anger issues when she was3 n 4 yr old. The more I reacted n scolded her that this is wrong, the more aggressive she got. More tantrums. Then i stopped reacting angrily, n it made her feel guilty n slowly she learned from my behavior how to react when we are angry. N I kept telling her it's ok to make mistakes but we should try not to repeat it. N when she is angry n overwhelmed i leave every thing n sit with her n tell her sorry that she is sad n asked her why she is sad, many times she dint know why she is sad. Then I would hug n console her, tell her that I love her n never want her to be sad. Then she would open up, that she feels ignored or I am playing with her, I'm always busy. N I used to tell her with examples. I'm feeling angry right now but I will try to stay calm. Can I do dat? I asked her. N asked her suggestion what can I doto feel better. She suggested painting or let's go to park. I said good idea. With this method I instilled anger solving processing into her brain. Don't dictate what to do, make them think what is right to do..! Now she processes her emotions very well MashaAllah. She tells her younger cousins that it's ok to be sad. U will feel better in sometime. We adults achieved so much in life that loosing a paper of drawing is nothing, but for then, these little things is all they have got. It's a big deal for them. We need to understand.
