I want to say love the show and thank you for your dedication to helping those who have made wrong choices. I clearly would not risk my life to help stupid but that is me. I'm personally not a risk taker again thank you
Where I live, the flathead county in Montana, our search and rescue has about 60 trained volunteers that consists of trained divers, climbers, riggers, paramedics, backcountry rescue, etc. We also have 2 helicopters, one of them being a bell 429 equipped with FLIR and a hoist. In fact that helicopter often gets dispatched to Washington and Idaho for specific operations. It is all publicly funded of course and it is taken very seriously around here because of the vastness of the area (5,256 square miles and only about 6% of that is developed).
@Scott Alexander its a shame we cant afford to pay these REAL HEROES. maybe if we werent spending a trillion a year on war, but what can we do? killing people is more profitable than saving them
