Having played a lot of games with his setup I must say, comet just feels better. Plus blue runes get u that cdr earlier that you need to pressure under tower. It's more of a poke with Q1, cast W to poke kinda build. And if you get ahead it won't matter that you don't have extra dmg+heal from conq later on. From my personal experience
I dont understand, isnt conquer better late game? And aren't busier items batter for Aatrox right now?
