Wow I’m very happy that you did review on this one 😍. I just bought it yesterday & waiting to receive it. I hope you do review on every single old Amouages.
Ram, all of the earlier opus’s are still on the Amouage website and in stock. They are not in the collections when you search by collection. They however can be found by using the search bar and all in stock
I’ve smelled about half of the Opus line. I actually really think they are, in many ways, superior to the main line. I still think Amouage’s opus (excuse me) is Jubilation 25. My vintage bottle is near perfection. I’ll say Refection 45 is my overall recent favorite and it gets the most wear for me from the brand now!
Thanks for the review! There's not so many proper reviews on this particular collection! Please sample and review Opus VIII, if you're into animal and indolic Jasmine!!! That one is hautingly beautiful!
Silver Oud, Reckless Leather, and Royal Tobacco were very appreciated when I first smelled them. Big perfumes, huge perfumes! I am going in about an hour to a niche boutique to get some samples and smell all the Opus fragrances still available on the market again to get more familiar with them. I hope Christopher Chong will do great at Thameen!
Opus V reminds me of LV rose des vents when I sniffed it in store. It is extremely smoothed out as compared to the LV, yet the scent profile smelled almost identical. To my surprise, it was done by the same perfumer. Rose incense is a sweet rose mixed with amouage signature incense. The rose kind of smells like water with rose syrup mixed into it that comes off light yet airy and translucent. Opus VII caught me by surprise in the opening, I supposed it was the galbanum note that gives off this green and utterly bitter scent. The dry down was incredible though and might be the most interesting and daring opus still currently available.
I wish I didn’t live in UK, I’d send you some more library samples. I think you will go gaga for opus IV and VIII. Opus iii and X are also excellent: I already know you love opus IX so no need to mention that one lol
Yes I have full bottles of V, VI , IX & XI from the older style bottles... the newer style just XIII - silver oud I have samples of II , III & IV so more videos coming soon 🤌🤌🤌
I recently acquired samples of all except IX, and I also was most impressed by IV. V, VI and VIII were also nice, as well as XII, XIII , XIV. I, VII and XI I couldn't stand.
Glad you gave this one time Ramsey. I know exactly what you mean by that banana custard floral description. Certainly a shame if this one is no longer on the Amouage docket.
Sad to see the old bottles gone they certainly did stand out ,but a bitch to actually stand up hahaha. I just have the one, Opus lV cumin ,cardamom, really classy fragrance and of course still looking for an old 50 ml of Silver cheers buddy have a good one ✌️🙏👍
Your nose is my guide to the world of vintage scents. I found a lot of vintage scents. One hundred percent coincidence of tastes.
