My God, what a song, what a performance! I did not know Ben until 3 weeks ago (yes!). Started with Kingdom, I forget (the best yet), now arrived at the recent Album. An awsome artist our time.
Yo that song had everyone bumping but here in Manhattan a month ago no one was familiar with the lines lol still this became my favorite song of all time after hearing it live I love the synthesized sounds.
At the hammerstein in nyc? I was there! I'm trying to figure out what the fourth song in he played was. It wasn't this one because he played this towards the end.
Julie B can’t remember but man dude his concert was dope right? I was literally on the right side so close I could touch him lol...when he played small things I lost my shit! He also played evergreen pretty cool only 2 songs from his old album. Ppl seemed pretty disappointed about it because barely anyone was singing to his new ones. I would have seriously collapsed if he played rivers in your mouth! What’s your favorite song? How was your experience that Friday night?
His performance was amazing as usual. I teared up at the fourth song because it was so beautiful and I want to find it so I can relive it again lol. I was in the second row of the first balcony. Were you with the group of people in the front who were headbanging to Small Things? lol. I wish he played Time Is Dancing or I Forget Where We Were. The crowd wasn't the best imo. They were talking so much to the point that I could hear the conversations of people from the ground floor, and at a few points I could hear people shushing others. From what I observed, the people were using the concert as an excuse to socialize (randomly saw some people running around and doing interpretive dancing?) more than to actually see Ben, which is a shame. I wish the crowd was quieter and more respectful. Ben is a brilliant artist and for people to not pay attention to him and appreciate him and even completely ignoring him the whole time to talk to their friends just rubbed me the wrong way. I miss the days when he would play small cafes and the whole room would go silent until it erupted with applause after he was done but I'm proud of his success. I'm definitely going to see him again when he's back in the US. Edit: the song I teared up to was "Agatha's song." Something about hearing that while holding the hand of someone I care about really made me emotional
Julie B wow balcony I wish I was there lol my feet hurt from the concert because everyone who was in the front eas standing on a small wooden platform. Yeah my small circle was going crazy to small things I went alone because none of my friends appreciate Ben Howard but I made alote of friends that day. Wow that sucks wow why can’t ppl just appreciate music I guess those ppl had bad spots to see anything at all so they talked. Most ppl also don’t know Bens new album as many ppl around me were disappointed about him not playing more old stuff it’s funny because the tour is literally called noon day dream tour lol....you heard that one guy who shouted “you go Benny Boy” and Ben responded to him twice that guy who shouted knew his stuff and got everyone around to move and dance. I just read an article that many ppl going to Ben Howard concert are complaining about his old stuff and Ben reacted by calling ppl cunts and he said the Wolves is boring. Idk ppl just need to appreciate his new stuff just wait for another tour where he will probably mix it up a bit. I respect him. Did you see the incident were there was a girl who passed out in the bottom right side all the way in the front she collapsed near me. I swear bens Howard concerts are not for getting shit faced. Lol
Looks like its going to be on the upcoming album. There's a song called Rookery on it and some promo videos have shown him using the same chord progressions
i think the lyrics of the untitled song go something like this: " Birch tree lost it's branch one day in violent winter, I said it was grieving, you said it did feel nothing, I bet you think everything's in it's rightful place, this sentiment is my disgrace, well the rooks in the trees they did have bothered me clawing at my mind they were given opportunities, It's spring outside a paralilac (?) sky and a terrible cluttering sound, For you said:" you should go, shoot them down" So hey, That's me, shooting the hundred year old rookery, Oh look at me, the definition of futility, thats what you said anyway so I go back to work and throught the gentle hours of the evening, where the weater and the wine and the company, treats me easily Unknowing am I of the wound that took my eye Unknowing am I of the wound Unknowing am I of the wound that took my eye
of course, after loads of videos from bens ifwww tour, leading up to abofs shows last year, you only dissapoint us this year. Thanks a lot again for all the great ideos! Great quality!!!
10:09 Ben's reaction to someone "fucking up" xD I think this is my favorite song but I just wish Mickey was also singing the low voice. His harmony singing through almost the whole song unlike from the recording when Ben sang it on few lines is a little exhausting. It's a great harmony yet becomes a little boring when he sings it for 5 minutes. Wish he would also do low unison with Ben. Would work out so much better. Anyway, this video is ...

The change from Rookery to The Defeat is incredible.
Seems like..
Welcome to my world, sit the fuck down and listen. 😳
Ben Howard, your music resonates with my soul. It is absolutely beautiful, thank you.
I am definitely going to work this one out!
My day is made seeing your comment here.
Happy days
I cannot wait
Deckard C I've cracked it. Cover coming soon!
Bantham Legend looking forward to it! DADGAD right? ;)
literally the best version of this, and thank you so much for including rookery leading into this!
I just want a version for on my phone to listen to this forever and ever and ever
Beautiful. Looks like it’s on the new album
What a fleeping journey since Every Kingdom.... Glad I was there to listen to Defeat LIVE in Lyon last July, goose bumps all over throughout the song
Carole Danancher I was in Lyon too. What a gig !!!
yes it was, and it was also my son's first introduction to live music, it could only be Ben Howard :-)
Yo that song had everyone bumping but here in Manhattan a month ago no one was familiar with the lines lol still this became my favorite song of all time after hearing it live I love the synthesized sounds.
Great sound & video - it's a shame this isn't just one song on the album - that 'intro' part is awesome too
a song about shooting rocks in the garden...... I Wish I was in your head Ben Howard
I think he say "shooting rooks in the garden" like u know, a pair of rooks (black birds often linked to death)
I liked the defeat b4 I heard it live 3 days ago now it’s my favorite Ben is also 10 time better live

Utterly amazing as always. ♥
Ben..you stir my being...thank you
I love this new album, it is so sexy.
So good to hear it so clearly
Amazing! Thank you!
heart and soul.
Beautiful, thank you Benny 🖤
the greatest there ever was
The intro is not on the album, how sad
It’s on his next one!
Such a shame the untitled bit isn’t a song on the album.
Looks like its going to be on the upcoming album. There's a song called Rookery on it and some promo videos have shown him using the same chord progressions
Merci beaucoup!
This is Sterling Silver.
❤
Dolores VANHILLE is right - the first song is called "Untitled"
i think the lyrics of the untitled song go something like this: "
Birch tree lost it's branch
one day in violent winter,
I said it was grieving, you said it did feel nothing,
I bet you think everything's
in it's rightful place,
this sentiment is my disgrace,
well the rooks in the trees
they did have bothered me
clawing at my mind
they were given opportunities,
It's spring outside a paralilac (?) sky
and a terrible cluttering sound,
For you said:" you should go, shoot them down"
So hey, That's me, shooting the hundred year old rookery,
Oh look at me, the definition of futility,
thats what you said anyway
so I go back to work and
throught the gentle hours of the evening,
where the weater and the wine and the company, treats me easily
Unknowing am I of the wound that took my eye
Unknowing am I of the wound
Unknowing am I of the wound that took my eye
I think it's "Unknowing am I of the wound that took my eye"
perilous sky*
Wind*
Love that he ended up releasing this later
of course, after loads of videos from bens ifwww tour, leading up to abofs shows last year, you only dissapoint us this year. Thanks a lot again for all the great ideos! Great quality!!!

A very telling line. A very well written verse, in an incredibly written song.
*help* well the rooks in the trees they don't have ??? (anyone please ??)
Rayane Hamza they don't half bother me :)
Kyle Cullen thank's so much I was going mad x_X
@@rayanehamza1200 are you sure it wasn't the world going mad? Or is it you?
ThePlugga44 is it all so very bad? I can't see
"untitled" is the name of the first song
lol no
This isn't the right title for the song... ♥
Fight like dogs …..
New album is such a let down.........
I disagree, i love it a lot. Why do you dislike it?
It's amazing! First impression may not be good because it's very different to his previous works, but you'll love it eventually :)
I know what you mean, it took me a while to get into it but it’s actually great, not as good as every kingdom or I forget where we where though
+NBR wow. Classy.
I mean I do like ''I Forget Where We Were'' better, but The Defeat and Nica Libre are actually pretty good imo
