  • BGI Research's SpaTial Enhanced Resolution Omics-sequencing, or Stereo-seq™, brings you in situ spatial transcriptome analysis at single cell resolution. Built on DNA Nanoball (DNB) technology, Stereo-seq™ allows unbiased transcriptome analysis with an unprecedented field of view. In this workshop you will learn about the technology and how it has been empowering Australian scientists in their cutting-edge research. The program includes:
-An introductory talk delivered by Dr Kira Sun, Field Application Scientist, BGI Australia, followed by two guest speakers including
-Dr Quan Nguyen from the University of Queensland will talk about his frontier study in advancing the understanding of differential and communicative aging between organs, suggesting potential therapeutical targets for regulating aging processes; and
-Dr Jennifer Currenti from Curtin University will talk about her team's carcinoma study and their revolutionary approach by combining two complementary technologies Stereo-seq™ and Jumpcode to improve the ability to annotate cell types and discover cellular niches while reducing the sequencing cost of the workflow.
This workshop is brought to you by BGI Australia and its ANZ commercial partner Decode Science.
