- Record Surplus is one of the only record stores in L.A. that still has a really nice sized classical section.I almost always walk out of there with a couple gems and this trip was no different!
Fascinating video, great finds. I wish we had record stores like that here in Miami.

@ThePressingMatters Thank you so much, I had about a decade when I was opening my restaurants that I didn't paint at all, now I try to go between 4-6 hours a day. Wait until you see my next record store video, it will blow your mind what I was able to pick up.

@ThePressingMatters I just listened to Masahiko Togashi/ The face of percussion earlier today. that may be the king of all percussion albums! I'm gonna have to do a video of my favorites... Takemitsu, Xennakis, Sumire Yoshihara, Stomu Yamashta, all of them. What are some of your faves?
record surplus has a lot of varied inventory and a visit there has always been productive for me. I think it benefits from the location and excellent curation from the staff.
It's for sure a spot where you really have to dig through a lot of junk to find the gems but I always find a couple amazing things whenever I go!
I enjoyed the video very much. That looks like a neat record store. Florida doesn't have a lot of actual record stores anymore. It is pretty much finding used records at Goodwill and other thrift stores. Once in a while you can come across some nice ones.
Thank you! I just came across a MINT Living Stereo Sibelius 2 1/s 1/s in a goodwill the other day for $2...It was like an actual Miracle!
@@FLOWERINGSPIKES That was a great find! I found a couple of bluebacks in a thrift store Friday. Not mint condition but VG+. Records are usually $1.00 each but happened to be 40% off Friday.
What's up Greg? I found a bunch of classical records their a while ago. Almost anything I found on the London label sound great. No digital remasters!
