I just bought this car. It is amazing. So smooth, fast charging and the sound system is the best I’ve heard in my life (and I’ve worked in recording studios). Really comfortable. I’d wanted the integra s model but felt too boxed in. Would have loved to drive manual again but no more gas is such a wonderful trade off.
When comparing the A-Spec to the Type S, one feature of the Type S you left out is that it has Super Cruise. I ordered a Type S and Super Cruise was one of the primary drivers.
I actually test drove the AWD ZDX and was very impressed. The interior quality was top notch! I also drove a Cadillac LYRIQ right after and though the Caddy did have a bigger screen, the interior was filled with real wood and aluminum but some cheap plastic parts that creaked. I was much more impressed with the quality of the ZDX. The power was so smooth and quick! Yes a Tesla is more responsive off the line, but lacks the refinement of the Acura. It’s hard to believe the caddy and Acura are built on the same platform. I’m going to purchase the ZDX. $4,000 conquest cash, and $7500 tax rebate plus 0% for 72 months! Great service and warranty from Acura. It was an easy decision.
It seems that people eithe love or hate the car. Especially traditional Acura buyers. I bought my first Acura 4 months ago. A 2023 MDX A spec. Loved a lot of things, especially the handling but hated the lack of power. Went in to upgrader to a Type S and left with a ZDX type S. I really liked the supercruise with the S trim. And my dealership is doing some costom work to help with the esthetics by first doing a chrome trim delete and painting lowere trim body color among other things. Had to get the red interior. Black reminded me of a bland Tesla. The car is heavy and you can feel it, but it cruises reall well and gets up to speed quickly. Great car for my needs. Dont reall care who makes it as long as its reliable, has luxury features, looks good and has a roomy cabin. And it looks much better in person.
The best part about GM and Honda's offering is the physical buttons in EV's. it should be mandatory in All vehicles. Touch screen based Climate control is ridiculous.
@@slyguyaction Mirrors, steering wheel, screens, shift stalk, and all the things y'all mentioned. This. is nothing more than a glorified Blazer SS really dumb imo.
I liked the older models because it was like a hatchback wagon sedan, kinda like a bigger Honda Accord wagon..but this looks too much like an SUV..might as well just get a RDX imo
Maybe Acura ZDX is good looking vehicle equipped with wireless Android Auto and Apple car play. However due to its very low roof in the rear I would prefer Cadillac Lyric.
I'd much rather have seen a phev or hybrid Acura suv so the tech could trickle down to Honda. Rebadged Chevy is not bad but definitely doesn't feel/look like a Honda or an Acura to me. I don't see buyers going after these at all. If anything its a quick bandaid to offer something...anything electric in Conus.
So a Blazer EV with a higher price tag? Do people even care about creativity anymore? They didn't try at all to make this special or unique. Everything is GM which is fine for a Chevy not an Acura.
Not sure I'd call this a performance bargain. Get a Blazer EV SS if you want power, or an RS or LT if you want basically everything to be better than this without quite as much power (RS is still a 6 second 0-60, EVs just always go fast). You can lease a Blazer EV RS for less than half of Acura's lease estimate on their website. They're the same platform. No clue what Honda is doing with this.
They all get paid now to review so ya, that's why rarely do you hear anything negative about new cars. Kinda sucks tbh I really miss old RUclips before all the clout chasing.
In a dilema, i have ZDX on reservation. This car looks perfect except for GM battery and reliability. I don like Tesla. But the price difference of 15K with Tesla model Y makes me thinking on whether to go with this one or model Y. Anyone in this situation, please chime in.
@@vaimurthy I don't like leasing at all, but if that's what you want, then yes it's a great car to even lease. With Rivian, I don't know if they will still be there by that time. I even traded in my R1T (Quad Motor) to Cybertruck, and I'm very happy with my decision. Have a great day!
Introducing the Chevy Acura. What a joke. I will keep my 2010 OG ZDX! They should have maintained the original shape. That chrome strip across the top makes this car look like a hearse, especially in black. Swing and a miss if you ask me, and Acura seems to have sold out to Chevy, which is a mistake for a luxury brand.

😳$60-$70K for a one off unicorn EV. If it was a solid state battery that charges in five minutes that was a long term platform; maybe. Used in years to come…as a unicorn…nope. I’m not sure there is a sweet spot given the small island it is upon. 11:39
Call me crazy but I'm not a fan of the looks of these. The brushed solver looks out of place and the wat the roof meets the body on the sides and back isn't appealing.

Price is too high for a rebadged GM product. The price should be $20000 less in order to sell. Tesla with the new Model Y is going to kill it as they did the Mach E and the others with the original Y.
So I can get 2 Teslas for the same price. 😂 I just picked up my model Y dual motor for $44.6k, $32k after incentives in Colorado, so 2 would be $64k. I do like more competition but it needs to be priced appropriately. Then they will say no one wants to buy EVs because they are priced too high… 🙄
@@DaleWilly That’s subjective. I do like the design of the Acura better, and the interior buttons! But it’s 1500 pounds heavier and 40% less efficient, it charges slower, while being the same size as a Model Y and slower. In that regard, is it worth approximately $35k more in my case in Colorado? No. 🤷🏻♂️
@@davetravels9273 Sorry Teslas ride like bricks, had a Uber ride in one was super excited. Got on the road I felt like was in a 90s Honda, bumpy as all hell and the tire noise was super annoying. Never again I rather walk. Model 3 BTW
@@LeatherandLuxuryCarsd yes, totally agree that the last gen model 3 is super stiff, I used to own one, but it was super fun to drive. The refreshed model rides much better. I now own a model Y, which is more comparable to this and it has the comfort suspension, which is much more comfortable. Just like other manufacturers, each Tesla rides differently. Overall, Teslas ride stiffer for better handling, similar to a BMW, but I find the model Y quite good.

This isn't the first time Honda/Acura partnered with GM. They partnered with GM in 90s with the Honda Passport and Acura SLX
GM owned Isuzu back then?
