Dead! Milwaukee weed line trimmer

- I really wanted Milwaukee line trimmer to take my gas troubles away, not so fast, after 4-5 uses out of it the line trimmer stopped spinning, the power head has no problems, I’ll mail back to Milwaukee and make another video
11-4-22 Just spoke with Milwaukee and told them the Local tool repair shop is not picking up the phone and the store is closed, they said use part number 2825-20 and fill out the E repair form with proof of purchase and they just emailed me a free shipping label for repairs.
The model on the box did not qualify for e repairs, however depending on what’s broken try to find a number to send to Milwaukee E repair center, I have used them before, very fast service.
i hope you got this taken care of, the problem is the quik connect piece was loose just needed moved up toward the handle and retightened.
They change all the gears inside, no charge, it was back in a week
Had a problem with the pole saw not working.. I took off the black piece on the end off it to be able to slide in farther.. seems to have worked

Hopefully they figured out the issue and fixed it because it seems to have a couple popular issues. The motor blowing and the gears grinding out.
Yep it’s really strong when it’s working, but they definitely have to beef it up to hang with the gas line trimmers, I got my echo fixed and it’s a beast again, boy I miss the gas one because I’m not worried about running out of electric, now I just carry the pre mix fuel but I use the Milwaukee line it’s stronger than echos line
On mine the motor just won’t go. It tries, it’s like a car with a dead battery. The motor is blown, barely moves now. I gotta send it to them and hopefully they fix it for me. I’m still under the warranty period. My problem is finding a box big enough to ship it in 😂 i keep them for 30-90 days whatever the return policy is for the store then i recycle them because I don’t have room for 500 boxes 🤣 i know i can break it down but still it’s a weird shaped box.
Mine lasted 2 years though.. as long as they fix it I’ll be happy.
Yep, FedEx has a box that barely fits and I got it back and they put a new line spindle as well, looks like a redesigned model , they told me to take it to the nearest service center but mine is out of business so they said to identify it as a similar model for free shipping to Milwaukee, I figured I would get a new one but looks like they fixed it again so I’ll have to break it before the 3 years are up 😝

Mailed it to Milwaukee and they fixed it, no charge
The problem is with the attachment part you have to loosen it with the Allen key and then re-insert it you will notice where it has came out because you will see silver where there is no paint if you pause the video at 7 seconds you can notice the separation just loosen it with Allen key and reinserted and tighten and the problem will be fixed
Yep I did all of that and it still had problems, they replaced some parts and now it works perfectly, stronger than my Echo and easier to operate, and definitely easier to change the string
I have the same issue I tight it up attachment part head started spinning right away

I just bought one and it doesn’t work at all. I’m taking it back tomorrow.
Mine was dead right out of the box. I’m VERY disappointed.

Sounds like the inner shaft broke somehow.
Pull the shaft from the trimmer and try to spin it, if u spin it and the head doesn’t spin, it’s the inner driveshaft.
I sent it in under warranty they fixed it for free

They said it was the switch on the report, definitely did not sound like a bad switch
