looks your enjoying your stay in Cebu
C'mon guys.. give this man his silver play button! 👍
He deserve it👍
It's not easy to be a Vlogger. I admire those who persevere. You've succeeded and you must also have a day off. The scorching heat can be a nightmare.
Love the “lami kaayo”👍
mergim haha thats native chillis thats really hot hahahaha atleast u xperiencd it.. ☺️
Lami kaayo
I laughed when you ate the chili😄
You're nearing 50k Melgrim keep up the good work and nice contents.
I noticed Philippine chilli specially the tiny ones are very hot its stinging and instantaneous like a bee sting you will never forget but would like to have it again...
It's the same in other countries like Thailand where the small ones are the hottest.
Better to be in real experience with the locals to see, interact with them, to eat with them👍
Completely agree with you :)
Mergim, you seem to be at home with Cebu.
Hardwork and perseverance is a key to success as a vlogger...I see it in you friend...
happy to see you eating our local foods take mergem enjoy
Sarap naman! We Filipinos are very used to vloggers. We welcome all.
This is what I like about mergim s vlog it's updated.
My fav vlogger!❤
Me and my gf have really enjoyed your last few videos. Especially the one you shared dinner with a few locals
Whenever I eat philippine street food, i always add spicy sauce,,
The spicy sauce makes it much tastier..
nice my man i miss my place
Chicken proven is essentially from the proventriculus of a chicken. Yes, you've read it right proventriculus, thus the name “proven”. This part of the chicken is located in its digestive system, near its gizzard and liver.
Hahaha! I had a laugh anticipating the bite on the chilli. Those things are small but really spicy. I'm glad you didn't eat at the big fast food chains. The vloggers that review the food chain with the bee are a dime a dozen right now. I think you are the 1st to eat Proven and the fried chicken. Kudos to that. Keep safe mate.
I believe i was the first to eat Pares, puto bonbong, to try out tondo market, etc. Difference is im not here for a 1 day stop over, im here to really experience what the ph has to offer and to show case it to the world 🌎
@@MergimVlogsYT I will not think less of you if you give balut a pass.
i miss those kind of food stalls specially after work i love to eat there before going home
Two thumbs up
Nice, eating cheap but delicious local foods in the province
like street food looks yummy
You’re getting more Cebuano than I am. I’m not hanging out at Fuente when I’m in Cebu, but I missed those Larsian nights after some drinking spree with friends in my younger days.
Hello 👋 enjoy shout out watching from California USA Mabuhay Godbless thank you 🙏

Two thimbs up

Spring, delicious. The vinegar sauce, tasty. Put the two together 🤤
cebu street food is one of the best in the philippines no wonder it was featured in a netflix production
Admire this on-the-spot after-midnight raw street food take👌
I miss that area mergim. Is used to work that hospital behind you for 13 yrs. Almost everyday i walk the the street of fuente circle. here from other country really enjoy watching and reminiscing my beloved cebu province.. i hope u can also see the fiesta of cebu next year if you can. Take care and more energy !
You are a standout from the rest of the vloggers imo…lol I actually don’t even bother honestly Lol (especially the ones who use clickbait titles and thumbnails lol). I like spontaneity better than the cliché thing…and appreciate the vlogger who actually explores and shows something new or something known but in depth or appreciates the real local things just like you do, plus local interactions. So kudos to you and your effort. 👍🏼
I like this raw monologues. I think this is how vlogs should be. Original web logs are more or less rantings of individuals. Vlogs are blogs in motion. And this one demonstrates it.
You’re making me miss my home city! Thanks for showcasing Cebu!
CEBUUUUUUU
I actually like the walking and talking vlog every once in a while as well as just sitting down with locals and having a chat
I just love your personality. So authentic.
You deserve a day off and we really appreciate that you post recent updated videos. And even with nothing planned today , you still come up with content that shows us Cebu.
Quite stunning
6:34 The one thing that Jollibee needs to up their game, for me it's COFFEE. They do serve iced coffee float and perhaps hot coffee on their breakfast menu, but Mcdonalds has McCafe. 😅
They don't need to. They're fried chicken and burger store. They already own Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf. McDonald's McCafe is only present if a particular area or city or region has no decent coffee chains or houses nearby. Since Cebu has high density of coffee chains found all over, most McDonald's stores in Cebu have long removed McCafe section in their stores here since 2015. Cebu has over 30 Bo's Coffee (Cebu-based chain), about 20 Starbucks, about 20 CBTL, and many more chains like Tom N' Toms (Korea chain), Coffee Bay (Korea chain), Civet Coffee (Cebu chain), Coffee Dream (Cebu chain), etc.
@@lionhearted1969 Fair enough, I'm just stating my honest opinion.
Yes Jollibee does own Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, yes Cebu has a lot of decent coffee chains and yes some McDonalds branch doesn't have a McCafe section. But what about those other Jollibee branches, like in the US, Canada, Singapore, Dubai, Australia, etc?
I not trying to compare which one is better, at least in any McDonalds store they do serve brewed coffee anytime of the day, regardless whether they have a McCafe section or not. I could opt out and exchange my softdrink for a cup of coffee.
congrats in advance to your almost 50k subscriber thank you for enjoying our local foos yes it is lami kaayo far more better than jollibe especially the sawsawan with cilli . just enjoy .
It’s very refreshing seeing a new quality vloger that consistently uploads enough to make them apart of my morning routine. 👍🏽
Nice video. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Mergim!I love the way you say, "lami kaayo!", very delicious in English! 😃
It really is delicious :)
If you're in Cebu, at least try the long-standing food chains we still patronize before Jollibee & McDonald's ever came. You actually missed one there in Fuente - ORANGE BRUTUS (sizzling burger steak and their chocolate moist cake).
MYJOY (grilled meals, shakes).
DIMSUM BREAK (steamed rice (not regular rice but saucy with meat toppings w/c originated in Cebu) plus their fresh warm dimsums w/ garlic chili + calamansi (a must when eating siomai). This is already found in other parts of PH but originally from Cebu).
SUNBURST FRIED CHICKEN (one of oldest fried chicken chains in Cebu). I have never seen any vloggers made a feature of these homegrown chains from Cebu.
BO'S COFFEE of course for coffee as they champion locally-grown coffees from all over the Philippines.
Yes try the steamed rice of Dimsum very local. AA bbq, Cnt, Abuhan, Manila Foodshoppe. To relax have a nice meal at Lantaw restaurant at either Tops or Cordova to enjoy the relaxing view
Sadly, majority of these OG chains, have poor taste and quality na. Did not keep up sa trends or unxa ba. Especially orange brutus. Myjoy is trying to stay relevant which is nice. Sunburst chicken may still have chance pero it has nothing outstanding except sa coleslaw imo. Dimsum break and Bo's are the only real contenders among the list.
bruh you making me miss pungko2 in cebu
I really like how go and talk local ..
Keep safe always 💙💙💙
brother you always amaze me..
Mergim thank you for still trying your best to dish out daily content and we appreciate it!.
Proven is something we eat during lunch time when I was still a call center agent, we just go to the stalls and eat proven with Hanging rice/puso, it is very filling especially if you eat it with rice.
The Vinegar Tuyo Mixture you have doesn't have the taste of the chili because you were supposed to crush the chili with the sauce mixture, I think the guy had a hard time explaining it.
Amazing
I think it’s great that you are good and down to earth on interacting with the locals …that’s the reason I subscribed 😎 watching from California 👍🏻
I admire how much effort you deliver on your videos, the contents are detailed and comparing to the other vloggers your videos are always updated and simply nice to watch while eating a potato chips, Being friendly to the locals you interview makes the viewers get more interested in your video. Especially, as long the supporters you have, there is always Bashers lol
Just keep it going and thank you for the videos you made.
Impressive
Have you tried the famous ngoyung? That kind of lumpia can only be found in Cebu. You can buy it as a street food in Tisa, Labangon. It has a hot sauce... You should try it...with puso 😁
I love ngoyung too. We’re so crazy about it when we were in college. 👍😀
Wow! Look So good 🍜😍 delicious 😋
Awesome
Nice one
In the early 90’s night food market were only for people who works at night like taxi/motor cycle drivers, security guards and other grave yard shift workers now theyre glamourised and a good hang out with friends/family.
There's a Jollibee beside Robinson's Cybergate fronting Chonghua Hospital which is open 24hrs, just beside where you ate the chicken.
Try the chorizo de cebu Mergim, its
cebu's version of sausage, you gonna love that for sure.
keep safe always lad..
Lol, at 1:36 it seems that Mergim already adopted the Filipino culture of not using the skywalk. 😅
He did the short cut😂
Red chili is Siling Labuyo " php 🇵🇭🙏😊☝️👍
Pretty bangin'
Ang daldal eh🤗🤗🤗🤗
luv the authentic treet food yummm...and eating with the locals its just so organic and nice conversations anything goes...enjoy the food Mergim stay safe God bless💚💟❤🙏🙏🙏👍👌😀😉😊😁😄🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
You put much effort in making Seaside Mall. It's useful, worth it. Thank you. I like it. 😉 And having up-to-date video, Man.., that sets you apart. 👍
Wow
Aside from Jollibee in Robinsons Fuente, there’s another Jolibee in Mango Avenue.
There’s also so many Jollibee in Jones Avenue going to Colon, or going to Capitol. Hahaha 🤣
Fuente is my fave place to stay when I am in Cebu. Convenient to wherever I go. Mango Avenue is alive at night especially on Friday and Saturday night.
You are right, it’s the center. I love to stay that area because you can walk at night and more stores are open. Maybe because there’s call center in front of McDonald’s.
McDonald’s is also open I think 24 hours in that area.
You have to come back there by month of January(3rd week) in time for Sinulog, one of the biggest festival in the Philippines. Book in advance as hotels are normally fully booked.
George and Lucy of Juicy Vlog and Mike and Nelly of Make it Happen had a blast before lockdown.
Lechon Cebu..try to make a food taste vlog
Cool
The ramble about the differences between fast food chains was hilarious while walking aimlessly
nauuuuuur
yummy street foods ✨✨✨👍👍👍
Hands down
hello mergim you must rest also stay healthy and strong take care and God bless you. 👍✌😍🙏🙏🙏
Thank you, it’s key I remain in good health to maintain this epic daily vlog in the Philippines 🇵🇭:)
Wow.You did it right when you mixed the spicy and sweet sauce when you had the proven given it’s your first time 😁That’s what most of us locals do! 😃
Try out Lumpiang Toge,
Kikiam, kwek-kwek, chicken balls, fish balls with sweet + chili sauce
those are my every 3pm street food snacks
*_when you eat filipino food with sauce on top, make sure to mix it well evenly before you eat!_* *(palabok, spaghetti, lumpiang sariwa) (when it comes to desert., halo halo, saging con yelo, taho)*
When in the Philippines, one always has to remember to mix, very different to the west
Jcome visit consolacion cebu
God bless you MERGIM take extra care of yourself. Don’t bother the dogs it might biting you.
Yummy, I want to try.
I always eat there when im in cebu
Looks yummy than Jollibee Chickens😁
Well...you are the only vlogger that stays loyal to PH and came back for season 2☺️....and slowly becoming one of the locals...other vloggers are now leaving after getting the subs from PH...well..we unsubscribed from their channels... but never with Mergim 😍...
I was going to comment and make a possible video about how they’re all leaving! But I’M in two minds about this. What do you think?
@@MergimVlogsYT I would stay away from the topic because it can be controversial and can probably backfire on you. Yes, a lot of them were only in transit. Like many other Pinoys, I unsubbed as I am only interested in watching PH vlog. Never missed any of your daily vlogs and enjoyed every episode. 👍
@@MergimVlogsYT It's never a good idea to vlog about other vloggers, specially if there is even a slight chance interpreting what you say to be negative of others. In the, "Why RUclipsrs are leaving TH" episode, you stoped yourself from being negative of others, though not completely. That episode continue to resonate because you put yourself front and centre. And in the process, introduced yourself to Filipino audience. A follow-up episode on "Why RUclipsrs are leaving the Philippines" can work if the focus is on the reasons for staying in the PH. And, in the process, sharing specific plans for the coming seasons. Right now, some 45+ subscribers think that you are cool and would want to know more about Mergim. Also, they care for Maya and Mr. Dollar. They want your perspectives on things they are already familiar, but they also want to learn something new in the process. This paragraph has gotten needlessly long. In short, what matters in these vlogs is you.

Aye mate
Special sauce in the Philippines is the secret ... Mostly the sauce are made from (suka) vinegar and (Toyo) soy sauce then it depends upon the provinces what are they secret to put some extra ingredients sometimes pinch of sugar or pepper. Even though it's only a street foods, u will still be full with satisfaction. God bless to your vlogs!
Cebu is famous for it’s lechon! You can try it at Rico’s Lechon.
That's a delicious treat. Be safe Mergim. Enjoy.

Reminds me of Star Trek or Star Wars spaceships...
