From members once living homeless and in cars, selling drugs, fighting and in trouble with the law- to becoming a worldwide signed act on Napalm Records: These are the DROPOUT KINGS - bringing Nu Metal back in the game! Even more aggressive, doper than ever, fucked up and lit as hell at the same time!
This Arizona-based sixpack now releases their first single called ‘Nvm’ with a raging music video. The first glimpse of how the DROPOUT KINGS will conquer the world.
Vocalist Adam Ramey on ‘Nvm’:
„First off, we wrote this song and the album with the intentions of letting people know DOK is here, and we aren’t going anywhere. We want people to know we are the driving force behind the Nu-Metal revolution. The song “Nvm” we just dropped was written about how (we’ve all be in this situation before) sometimes you wish people could just mind their own damn business and stay in their lane. Just do you and nevermind what I’m doin’. People always want to talk shit about us behind our back, and people will tell us what they said, but then they try and come up and act cool with us like I don’t know what they’ve been saying. We never trip about it, we just find it really funny. So, it’s all good man. We pretty much just kick it, play video games, and smoke weed so I never do understand when people got some shit to say. Hence, our stance in the song about it all. Anyway, thanks for giving a shit about us and this band. Hope you like what you hear, and just get ready for a lot more dope shit from us.“

@@OooSooTrippy look I get where you're coming from bro but idk if you've noticed the absolute degradation of music over the past 20 years. Both morally and the lyrics on average have reduced to being that of a third grade reading level. This shift is being pushed by major corporations and who they choose to licence and promote. They're purposefully trying to dumb us down and destroy our moral compass. At some point we have to push back. Taking your example, Korn, their song blind is a deep introspective about losing touch with someone's inner self and the fear and isolation that can come from that. There's a huge emotional lesson to the listener to gain from that message. Or even in hip hop from the same time period Nas's song "the message" talking about a time when he became obsessed with himself and was struck down by his own hubris and ended up in the hospital. These songs have real lessons to be garnered by the listener. They actually had something to say. Music today is just a product to be sold with no substance behind it and honestly bro you should join me in pushing back against it

This is officially one of my favorite all time songs. It is perfect. It is everything I could ask for. Dropout Kings came to me at a very important time in my life. Im a super new fan, started listening yesterday. Ive had a very hard month with a relationship ending and my father dying. This band has already begun to help me mend. Im a musician myself and love blending styles together. Crossover genres are my absolute favorite. Hope to see you guys live in AZ one day! I lived in Tempe once and love it there.
