I'm from Hilo on the Big Island of Hawai'i. I met all the members of Hui Ohana: Led, Ned and Dennis. Great guys. RIP Ned and Dennis. Miss them so. Only Led is still with us. They made such beautiful music! Their music reminds me of beautiful Kalapana where they are from.
Dear Stan, Thank you so much for sharing! I've never met these guys, but I love their music so much, and also Led's ongoing offerings. I wish I could have known them also! Mahalo! Deborah
@@genuinsanity I love Dennis Pavao and the Ohana Group. Never met them but got all their CD's. So grateful for their legendary numbers and gifts of music. MAHALO PLENTY
ʻAuhea wale ana ʻoe Pua carnation kaʻu aloha A ke lawe ʻia ʻala ʻoe E ka makani pā kolonahe Ke aloha kai hiki mai Hōʻeha i ka puʻuwai Noho ʻoe a manaʻo mai Hoʻi mai kāua e pili
This is the very first song I ever played on my `ukulele in public and actually sang at a kanikapila. I sang it last year at Waimea Valley Kanikapila with Lanet Abrigo, he mom of the Abrigo `ohana. I was horrible. I croaked like a frog coz I get laryngitis. Then I couldn't remember all the words to the 2nd verse. Just when I need a song with the "ha`iina verse", this one didn't have a ha'ina. Nobody laughed. They all had such aloha. Mahalo for sharing. Me ke aloha, Auntie Wanda
Sûr et certain mes origines sont des îles Hawaï à entendre leur voix me rapproche très fort ; ça se verra très bientôt si c'est oui !!! Ou non !!! Mais j'ai cette forte impression leur genre de musique me rapproche beaucoup ... Une seule personne me confirmera cela ... MAHALO !!!
November 28 2015 Washington State. Clear & Cold. In bare feet & Hawaiian clothing Listening to WONDERFUL music Hui Ohana! pretending & dreaming I'm in the sun & warmth of Ohau. Makes me feel soooo happy!
