wow. thats an amazing design all around. well done. . i hope they get the drivers worked out, but still very user friendly. if it was an eighteen inch, i would drop all my displays right now for this.

Veikk and Ugee are like, the beginners of drawing tablets. The Veikk 16 I think is way cheaper than the XPPen Artist 12/13 Gen 2.

my only problem with veikk monitors, is why they still use 1080p res, as someone that moves from samsung tabs with high density ppi, seeing a large drawing monitor with only 1080p really turns me off, I mean theyre cheaper I guess. its my opinion anyway

Hey Teoh, will you be able to review the Poco Pad tablet? Haven't seen anyone (in english) review it for drawing and i'd like to know your opinions for it!

      I'm unlikely to review that

It looks like it checks all the boxes (and that is rare to see, specially no line jitter, good activation force, great lamination, quite nice results of color coverage after calibration. I agree, for higher end printing it's best 95% Adobe RGB or greater) at an amazing price, quite a deal. The pity is the pen calibration issue, but hopefully it might get soon fixed in the driver, as that's just a software update (as the tablet is laminated, minimal or no gap).
*Note* : Is it for sure a pen calibration issue? At 27:00 , using "," and "." to go frame by frame, it looks to me as if you had the cursor (the tiny arrow) almost touching the line, not where the line later starts to appear. As if it did produce the gap by a different problem: Initial activation force (or unrelated to that) not catching up when the movement is fast. I don't think that's either due to screen refresh, but that somehow the pen does not catch up in fast lines when it has to initiate a line. As if there was a delay after the tip first touching the screen. Sometimes this can be fixed by software (but Windows Ink was disabled already). But maybe some other setting (in the driver or each painting app). In my experience, in some cases is deactivating some brush dynamics/features, or just using another app. When this happened to me, it did not happen with every app, neither every driver system (ie, happening with wintab but not windows ink or the other way around). Does it happen with Krita/Clip Studio/SAI, or only in Medibang?. The (internal) vector nature of Medibang is a difference with those others.
It could also be that while the cursor was there, you were not still putting pressure... Or the camera angle, I don't know.
Anyway, the calibration issue, or something is going on there, as when tilting, the cursor is displacing slightly as if it was not well aligned or something, as you demonstrated. That offset when is tilted could be displacing the line when starting or producing the overshooting at the end. I dunno. In Wacom's driver you used to be able to set an angle threshold for inclination/tilt, and below that angle it wouldn't really register, producing a gap until it got less tilted. But it's probably neither that.

It’s a pen calibration problem. I had another set of line tests for the text review where I draw many boxes without paying much attention and there were many gaps.

@@teohontech7141 Let's hope they fix the driver, then... But it's a nice product, great price. I hope they make a 22" version (just visited the page, but the 21.5 seems to be an older product, maybe I'm wrong).

@@teohontech7141 I was suspecting that... thank you! I will keep track of Veikk in case they release a larger size of this gen, as I liked what I saw in the video. :)
