So much better performance than the gash that’s coming out today, I never smell anyone in public anymore which is a shame, I miss the wow and head turning what is that gorgeous smell
I always enjoy your vintage haul videos! Monsieur Carven was my best vintage discovery this year. Incredibly elegant with a beautiful civet note. I've also bought Balenciaga Portos recently (the eau de cologne). Very nice too.
Marvellous collection. I have a small collection myself (doesn't seem in the same universe as this one) that are all pre-1980s. From my dad (a perfumer) I have some of his own creations that are now 60 years old -- don't even open the bottles; from my mom, White Shoulders/Evyan, Joy/Jean Patou, and Tweed/Lentheric; from my mother in law, Bal a Versailles/Jean Desprez and Charles Blair, Paris; my own Jicky and Shalimar from Guerlain -- my first real passions, and finally Chantilly/Houbigant. I smell the bottles (exteriors) from time to time but don't wear them any more. Now I am obsessed with the niche fragrances I have discovered through you, Sebastian. 😊😊(what a dream to have Guerlinade. And no, you did not spend too much. This is a lifetime find.)
The original YSL Opium Parfum for women (red plastic bottle with a sort of whole or round window, sort of). I remember smelling that as a kid and I was blown away. From that point on I was able to associate beauty and refinement with smells. Before that I had never made that connection.
Magie Noire - loved the older or original version, too young to wear it then, I bought it recently for nostalgic reasons, not the same, but still it is a love for me, especially on cold winter mornings...
Amazing vintage haul Sebastian, love your vintage passion like myself, mad jealous lol 😂. I tend to go for splash bottles only because vintage sprayers have been a big fail for me and most don’t screw off ,so it’s a damn messy decanting job. All said and done a splendid haul and a good price , well done sir 👍✌️
My mother wore Climât every single day for close to 40 years, she got her first bottle when she was 15 or 16. She had all versions, including a 15ml ( i think) parfum version, that was almost like a perfume oil. I grew up with this fragrance and there’s 2 things I noticed here in this video. First of all I’ve never seen a plain blue box, all of them had a marbled blue on blue design and secondly, I’ve never seen a bottle/cap design like this either. Could be that this is US thing, but the larger size bottles my mom had, 75ml I believe (?) all had an oval shape with wavy ridges going across the bottle and a blue cap. Lastly, I’d like to mention that when my mother sprayed it, you could smell it through the whole house, in fact my dad usually complained that it smelled too strong, so muted is not how I would describe it. Up to this day, my mother is disappointed it got discontinued. I’ve heard Amouage Dia smells quite similar, maybe you can confirm this? If so, I’d love to give her a bottle.
It's a masterpiece. Sadly overreformulated and not the right smell. But the JEAN-LOUIS SCHERRER EDT is similar and the vintage bottle I showed in this video is superb!! :)
There is a saying in my area, “Today’s EDP’s are yesterday’s EDT’s”. As someone who grew up in the 80’s I know it to be true. I heard Super Dacob use it in a recent video and told the group that I talk to and had a chuckle about it.
I wore both Caron's Nocturne and Lancome's Magie Noir for years and years. Absolutely loved them both! Nocturne was in such a lovely bottle. It was a beautiful classic chipre fragrance. Unfortunately, Nocturne became more and more difficult to find; I eventually gave up searching. I was sad to let it go. Lancome eventually changed the formulation of Magie Noir, the new reformulation did not agree with my body chemistry. I was, and so was everyone else around me, very turned off by it. Needless to say, I stopped wearing it.
Climat and Magie Noire have been denatured, unfortunately. I miss getting a something from the body product range of fragrance. I used to love picking up a soap or deodorant, lotion or shower gel. K de Krizia is so beautiful. I have a few bottles of Guerlinade. The presentation was very different. You have a beautiful example.
Very familiar with Santos de Cartier and the Sport flanker both amazing elegant scents. I remember Santos had the leather bound case, and the interchangeable refill bottle surrounded by a metal case. Just awesome.
This reminds me that I absolutely loved Zino by Zino Davidoff as a teenager. I should go back and see if I still like it. On another note: Sebastian, how about a review on some fragrances by Precious Liquid? It's the new brand of Richard Herpin who made TF Oud Wood and other stuff.
Excellent Haul! Honestly, I would have opened that Guerlain so fast.😂 You have some names and brands in here, I haven't heard in awhile. Love these videos. Also, side question, haven't you done a Bernard Chant focused video? I swear you did, however, now I can't find. Have a restful week. Been a year eh😅. 🎉🎉🎉😊
I got my hand on two of krizia ks( one for men and one for women) samples they were okay but sadly they were leaked in the packaging 😢 both are great and classic
Yes, if you’re buying them mail order it’s very very uncertain but I bought these in person from someone selling their collection. So I was able to smell. It and make sure they were in pretty good condition. I would say if you’re buying from eBay, make sure you buy with a credit card that you can dispute if they send you something that has turned or something has some issues.
I have a Balenciaga bottle that looks just like that first one you showed except it's called Ho Hang. Is that what that is? Edit: Looking at that second one there may just be variations. Those two are probably Ho hang and Ho Hang club.
Thinking about De Noir, Moonlight Patchouli, Gris Dior off the top of my head, dark mossy earthy patchouli. For something darker I would have to think more!!
The original 1983 Amouage gold man and woman. They have redone it but I suspect they are just capitalizing on their heritage, especially with the incredibly ridiculous price. Highly doubtful that it comes anywhere the original. Guy Robert’s finest work according to him.
@ThePerfumeGuy not really. It's too potent for me. But that's what she loves and everyone knows her by that scent. I can still find it at some retailers here in Dubai. So I always pick up a bottle for her whenever I see it.
I love Zegna it smells a lot like RL Safari for men and Im not sure if you heard of any of these but I have Anthracite pour l’homme by Jacomo MCM Success Lord Molyneux by Molyneux Cycle by Otto Kern Byblos uomo by Byblos Land by Lacoste
Some of the ones you listed I do know. At least know all the brands too. Must check out and find some vintage or current formulations of these if they have them! :)
What a great vid. I love these rare classics. I'm looking for my holy grail for a long time. Ungaro Homme II. A Jacques Polge creation. A true masterpiece that is ingraved in my olfactory system. So warm, comfy and sexy. Do you know, have, that one Seb? If you do, could you hook me up with a decant? I am happy to pay for it. Greetz from The Netherlands!
I don’t have vintage, but I have the current version and the parfum. As discussed in this video. ruclips.net/video/cFhdHot8cjE/видео.htmlsi=hMEuz42d2IO72Qih

Great video and I enjoyed it and I'm going to try these fragrances and have a blessed day
I’m so glad you enjoyed it!

My favorite type of videos, and what a treat at the end
Awesome! Thanks for stopping by!! :)

that Guerlinade was AMAZING. Thank you for sharing. I have the original Mitsouko in the small wooden box.
Ah yes! I have the original as well. I think it's fantastic. The vintage is so special.
Oh, I am so excited about this video! I love vintage fragrances but sometimes they are not so easy to wear. I need to be in the mood for them.
Sebastian, have you ever tried Clinique Tailoring for Men? I had it in high school back in the 80’s and it was so good. Wish they would bring it back!
I remember it but probably smelled in passing. I personally do not remember it though sadly! :(
My favorite vintage fragrance for men continues to be Polo Green.
The original Ho Hang is on the bottle you showed under Club earlier in the video. An amazing perfume of its time.
Magie Noire - loved the older or original version, too young to wear it then, I bought it recently for nostalgic reasons, not the same, but still it is a love for me, especially on cold winter mornings...
My favorite vintage fragrance for women is Byzance by Rochas.

Love your videos and your joy smelling these fragrances!
Thanks! It's such a fun experience.
Lagerfeld Photo. I dont remember what it smells like. You have touched on it before. I just remember that one as a young man.
The 90 degree on the Rochas would be the alcohol percentage before they switched symbols. Great video!
My father always had a bottle of English Leather splash back in the 70’s. That and also Canoe.
Canoe!! Oh yes!
chopard heaven
Wow, you have new gorgeous treasures💯💯💯
Thank you for reminding me of the one of the best fragrances I owned in the mid 80’s Magic Noir. I loved the smell.
It's a masterpiece. Sadly overreformulated and not the right smell. But the JEAN-LOUIS SCHERRER EDT is similar and the vintage bottle I showed in this video is superb!! :)
Hey Sebastian!❤❤i learn so much from your videos!😊
Thank you! Glad you’re enjoying the journey.

Dear Sebastian. Could you please review "le gemme" collection from Bvlgari? 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I need to. Hopefully soon. They are so damn expensive though! :(
Very familiar with Santos de Cartier and the Sport flanker both amazing elegant scents. I remember Santos had the leather bound case, and the interchangeable refill bottle surrounded by a metal case. Just awesome.

Wowwwwwwwwwww
This is really WONDERFUL 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽👏🏾👏🏾LFG SÉBASTIEN
Great video!😊
I’m glad you enjoyed it!
I am lucky enough to have a bottle of Rokka by Antonia's Flowers from 1984.
K di Krizia was my signature for many years. It was a very popular fragrance in Italy
FYI-The house of Athena fragrances has released Adriot ( Tobacco Honey).
Loves these classic videos...still have my Photo sealed👍🏻
I wish I had a sealed bottle of that one!
Let's go!!
Excellent Haul! Honestly, I would have opened that Guerlain so fast.😂 You have some names and brands in here, I haven't heard in awhile. Love these videos. I have the Guerlain fragrance. It's a beautiful , soft lilac.
Amazing collection
So glad you liked it! 🙏🏼
What a great haul! IFRA regulations started in 1973 and are on the 51st Amendment, so I don't think that 2005 Balmain is pre-IFRA.
I got my hand on two of krizia ks( one for men and one for women) samples they were okay but sadly they were leaked in the packaging 😢 both are great and classic
I am so wary of buying vintage. How do you choose without knowing if the scent is bad? Any tips or sites you trust?
Yes, if you’re buying them mail order it’s very very uncertain but I bought these in person from someone selling their collection. So I was able to smell. It and make sure they were in pretty good condition. @ThePerfumeGuy Thanks for the info. I definitely want some Guerlain Champs elysees and Givenchy Ysatis.
Guerlinade presentation worth $400 only. How it smells? Any alternative in today’s fragrances?
❤AWESOME 👌 THANK YOU!
I hope you enjoyed the haul!
Love it
🙏🏼
I have a Balenciaga bottle that looks just like that first one you showed except it's called Ho Hang. Is that what that is? Edit: Looking at that second one there may just be variations. Those two are probably Ho hang and Ho Hang club.
Hi, could you please recommend some dark / earthy / rose fragrances or rose in the background. Thanks
Thinking about De Noir, Moonlight Patchouli, Gris Dior off the top of my head, dark mossy earthy patchouli. For something darker I would have to think more!!

Magie Noire is my Mom's signature scent. It's a little more difficult to find these days.
Ooh it's your moms signature but you don't like green fragrances from what I remember? Surely you enjoy Magie Noire?
@ThePerfumeGuy not really. It's too potent for me. But that's what she loves and everyone knows her by that scent. I can still find it at some retailers here in Dubai. So I always pick up a bottle for her whenever I see it.
I love Zegna it smells a lot like RL Safari for men and Im not sure if you heard of any of these but I have
Anthracite pour l’homme by Jacomo
MCM Success
Lord Molyneux by Molyneux
Cycle by Otto Kern
Byblos uomo by Byblos
Land by Lacoste
Some of the ones you listed I do know. At least know all the brands too. Must check out and find some vintage or current formulations of these if they have them! :)
Yeah, the bottles of these fragrances definitely say vintage 😅
Heck yes!!!
Aramis 900 before reform
Oh my God, that’s one of my favorites. It does remind me of aromatics elixir, but changed up and made more masculine.
What a great vid. I love these rare classics. I'm looking for my holy grail for a long time. Ungaro Homme II. A Jacques Polge creation. A true masterpiece that is ingraved in my olfactory system. Rue Fabourg Hermes, before being reformulated
You look good for being in your 50’s, why haven’t you done any Argos lately?
Another Argos video? Perhaps soon. Thanks for the kind words!! :)
No it's not too much
How did you acquire these gems?!?
Someone was selling off their collection.
I had to email you my comment because RUclips keeps deleting them!
The version of the Lagerfeld Photo I have on the back bottom it says Parfums Lagerfeld, Coty Prestige LLC.
What’s bout krizia uomo
I think I have current version of a Krizia men’s somewhere. I have to pull it out.
Nikos Sculpture?
I don’t have vintage, but I have the current version and the parfum. As discussed in this video. ruclips.net/video/cFhdHot8cjE/видео.htmlsi=hMEuz42d2IO72Qih
*Jaguar For Men - 1988*
I have the current formula of that one
I spoke about it in this video: ruclips.net/video/qhIESauhHm8/видео.html
