@MattCingari3 when you bend a note, your tongue goes back and up in the mouth..to get a bend to go further down, simply continue the motion up and back to go lower in the bend. your jaw will drop slightly in the process to get those lower bends.
if you can get the 2 bend by itself without the tah, then you should be able to do it. the trick is seeing whether or not you can go right to a bend without having to hit the draw note first. for many people this is tricky. once you can do it then adding the tah is no problem. remember to have the shape of your jaw and position of tongue already in place before trying to go for it.
i use the pucker and tongue blocking method..but for most fast licks i am puckering and making the biggest tonal chamber possible inside my mouth without losing the pucker. This gives the single notes the biggest tone possible when puckering.
it's a display model given to music stores back in the day as advertisement. you are supposed to hang them up from the ceiling. it would be even sweeter if it played.
@RonnieShellist I believe some of us got confused about it:) As Lewisdjames asked also, you said bend when you meant blow so we thought you just bend when you blow in 2. It also almost sound like a bend. It's 3.27 - 3.28
relax relax relax...that's the tip for getting 2 and 3 hole draw to sound good...you are most likely unintentionally bending the holes giving them a "muffled" sound...also try opening your mouth as big as possible without losing the seal on the single note.
I was wondering if you could include more of the actual tabs while you are doing these lessons. (You do do it, but sometimes its tricky following you) Maybe one riff to work on every week. Thanks for all the lessons. Please keep it up!!
Thanks for all the awesome videos. You are a great instructor. Have you made a video playing "the mother of all harmonicas" that is on the rack behind you?
Ronnie, thank you, taht answered my question. I had used the "throat" accenting/attacking the specific draw note, but I have better results with the "Tah" attack. thank you, again, Ronnie.
I've just watched ur first two videos, I was wondering why do you keep referring to a blow as a bend?! From watching and listening it looks as if this is what you are doing as I know what a bend is. Thanx, ur very good
hey!! I'm having problems gettng used to play single notes...can you tell me how to dominate o maybe a vid in wich you show that? PS you're a great player!! you're really a motivation! cheers!!
@RonnieShellist hey, thanku for replying. Apologies if I sounded a bit rude on my first post I just read it back to myself and i didn't mean it to come across like that at all! I'm merely an amateur trying to learn :) well it seems to me that when you are explaining which notes to play you don't mention blow notes at all. Eg at 3:25 you say 2 bend with the tah, is that not a 2 blow?
Ronnie you are the man. Really really helpfull, I noticed that even if I can bend with naturality I wans´t using the "tah" thing regularly. Now i will try to use it more often. 5 stars! You rock ;)
I find it even hard to just to a draw note on 2. I can do a draw anywhere and it sounds right except on 2 and 3. On those two notes it sounds less crispy and more muffled any tips?
Hey Ronnie, again great work but I got an issue here. You say bend when you blow 2 tah, but You said we cant bend when we blow, only 6-10. How can we bend while we blow in 2 here? Confused thanks!
hey ronnie, when trying to articulate for the sharpness on the bend how can tah be used?? wouldn't it be like 'toh' or 'toe'? i'm playing tongue blocked, do you believe using 'kah' with a throat articulation to be acceptable, or should i be going from pucker to tb and back and forth
hey dude i got stupid question im sorry ? ! i got hermonica with 24 double hole ! idk wat to do !! ? any advice ?! ve i start with one with 10 holes? !
excuse me, english isnt my main language and ididnt undrestood what kind of armonica are you using, could you please write it to buy one of the same note please? (0:08)

hey i am trying to follow completely on your videos. They are quite helpful. i jsut cant seem to be able to do or pick up the homework you give us. It feels quite hard. Maybe you could give us a better explanation on it. thanks. and i like your vids.

@lewisdjames that's because on holes 1-6, you can only bend on draw notes so it's implied.

both..depends on what i'm doing and where i am on the harp...i pucker almost every bend..and 1,2 and 3 hole. most else i tongue block.
I was wondering if you could include more of the actual tabs while you are doing these lessons. (You do do it, but sometimes its tricky following you) Maybe one riff to work on every week. Thanks for all the lessons. Please keep it up!!
at 3:25 i forget to mention that the 2 draw has a tah. i did say it the first time around but not here..so don't forget that tah

@lewisdjames hmm, i don't see where I've done this. If you care to point it out, time of video..I can explain.
Great Tip as always, but you gotta tell me where you got that entry-way harp key chain holder that is hanging behind you by the door!

I get the tah helps getting the draw notes clearer, but what about the blow notes? Any technique to make it clear? Thanks.

i think they both work ok.

thanks!
@RonnieShellist so are you not playing any blow notes at all, they are all drew notes?
Hi. How do YOU make single notes? Your single notes are very distinct. Do you use your lips or your tongue? Tks.
hey ronnie,
when trying to articulate for the sharpness on the bend how can tah be used?? wouldn't it be like 'toh' or 'toe'? i'm playing tongue blocked, do you believe using 'kah' with a throat articulation to be acceptable, or should i be going from pucker to tb and back and forth
Could someone please write this 'notes' down for me, so I can see them?
hey ronnie would it be better to use toh instead of tah because i get a little bend out of it idk i like toh better but whats your thoughts on it
hey dude i got stupid question im sorry ? ! i got hermonica with 24 double hole ! idk wat to do !! ? any advice ?! ve i start with one with 10 holes? !

Man please consider writing the key of the harmonica and the song (if there is one) that you are playing.
that was indeed a bend
I can even do bends on all notes except on those two notes.
i still havent gotten a harmonica yet, i think ill ask for one for christmas... theres just to much stuff i want to get and not enough money.... you have sweet skills.
