      Yes, correct. Cp=1.42 is greater than Cpk=1.38. i.e. Cp always equal or greater than Cpk.

      Dear Gaurav,
      Cp is the ratio of tolerance to the effective range and Cpk is how well the process is centered within the tolerance range. i.e. Cp me total tolerance lete h (center se 3sigma right aur 3sigma left) jabki Cpk me process ka center se shifting dekhte h ki kis side m shift h. Centre se ek side ka value 3sigma hota h isliye Cpk me 3 sigma lete h. For more detail please watch my video difference Cp & Cpk.

    If machine is 5 sigma , how you have selected standard deviation means : 0.02 ??? or what basis.. Can somebody explain please and If Machine is 6 sigma, Standard deviation selcted :0.03 ? - how

      Dear Yash ji,
      Machine 'C' capable at average std deviation 0.02 with our desire range 10+-0.1. we are able to fit 5 sigma in left side and 5 sigma in right side , so we have taken sigma value 0.02. but in Machine 'D' in bell curve value should be 0.0167 instead of 0.033. this is clerical mistake. Please consider it 0.0167 for machine 'D'. sorry for mistake.

      Sorry for delay,
      I have assumed that the machine in given example capable under given sigma.So i have taken that values.
      For example, Machine 'A' capable at average std deviation 0.033 with our desire range 10+_0..1 mm.We are able to fit 3 std deviation in left side & 3 std deviation in right side.So, i have taken sigma value 0.033 in this example.However, Machine 'D' in bell curve value should be 0.0167 instead of 0.033, this is clerical mistake. Please consider it 0.0167 for machine 'D'. sorry for mistake.
