I can remember my mother and her family going back to '62 old Campbell Stadium getting beat every damn year by FAMU, but times has changed and "BCU has beat the Rattlers "10 straight," my mother didn't get to see it, she passed in '99 but I am enjoying these wins for her...YES!!! yes & yes again. Hail Wildcats
🖕Bethune!😁..... we.. we... we cumn back.. yea yall pull it off at da end. Both schools all time low n talent, specially us. . We need a stud defensive player nd some sweet skill position players.. Idk wtf we got goin on. Our recruiter needa go!
@JC Allen Nope I went to Alabama State and I’m originally from Orlando, Florida. So I went and saw how the Florida Classic was the Classic from 98-2001. Night game, sold out Florida Citrus Bowl, 30mins halftime show with both bands having a whole 15 minutes on the field. Showing out. All the above over the top excitement that make the classic very special. This was before espn cover the game and the many different changes to the meac and ncaa band rules. Don’t believe me just search on RUclips history of the classic 99, definitely 2000, and definitely 2001 and see how different the game was back then. Oh and by the way. I marched in both h.s and Collegiate and member of the Marching Hornet of Alabama State University in 2002. If you was from Orlando or went to the games back in them days in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. You definitely would know, understand, and agree.
@@MikeA8302 if bands stayed on the field for 15 min and not show love to the Sponsors wouldn't be any schools getting that $1 Million money... It's not about your entertainment it's about the money .... people lie, numbers don't
@DJNate TopNotchEnt last time I remember, before Florida Blue was a sponsors. Walt Disney World sponsor the classic for years till 2008 or 2009. That no excuse at all. They give them time to do and say their shoutouts and awards and checks before the band come on the field and plus again... do you really know what The Florida Classic was back in1998-2005 especially 2000, 2001, & 2002 to be even so known???? Please I advice to look up the halftime show of these 2 great HBCU bands matter of fact. Did you went to the classic in the years of 1998-2005??? If you’re not into the bands you just don’t know the other half of the classic. Just note and facts look what happen to the classic in 2012 when The Marching 100 was suspend and BCU was the only band there. Attendance drop half of their usual and A LOT of money $ was lost due to the hundred suspension. That’s how important HBCU bands are to these games just like the football game. The ONLY network I give salute to that show game and halftime show in a way is NBC showing the Bayou Classic between SU and GSU in New Orleans and there’s a lot of sponsors that support both parties.
Mike Antoine the change from Tampa to Orlando and the 8pm kickoff made the game magical, but getting out of there at midnight was crazy. 2pm is just too early...maybe a 6pm kickoff would put more fans in the game. And those battles were epic, but we also need two good teams and bands that are cut throat. Btw...my cousin marched around that time you were at ASU, Choir Boi (James), he was in percussion section.
I did not like that as well. But just glad to get the game. They took two days to get the game online. I tried to recorded it live and by the time they got it straight, it was in the middle of the first quarter.
