- In this video I look at 8 spoken informal contractions. These are contractions that are commonly used in spoken English. They are used in all English-speaking countries, but particularly in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Not all native speakers use these, but many do. I hope this will help your listening comprehension!
Some examples: coulda, gonna, kinda, lemme.

Dear Max. Thank you for your videos. There is one question.
What is the difference between "Frank should have studied more for his exam" and "I could have gone running this morning"?
You're welcome :).
"Frank should have" means that he was supposed to study more, or that it would have been a good idea if he had studied more. "I could have" means I was able to go running, but I didn't.
Does that make sense?
Dear Max. Thank you for your explanation!
Hi Max!
Thanks for another great class! You should not have worried about the video quality, everything is just fine :)
You look a bit different this time. I think I would not recognize you if we happened to run into each other :)
Oh, BTW, nice kitty!!
Thank you!
Haha, yes, I don't normally wear my glasses in my videos :).
English with Max, thanks for answering, Max! I have been meaning to ask if that was you riding a hourse at the begining? 🐎🐴
Haha, I wish! I've only ridden horses at fairs and things like that when I was a kid, and someone else held the reins. 😉
English with Max, same here, Max. Childhood is a great time:) Thanks!
9-Frank wudda studied more for this quiz if he hadn’t played games all night! 10-Frank would’ve studied more for this quiz if he hadn’t played games all night!
combination of your gorgeous look and these superb excellent pair of glasses effectively distracts attention from the lesson and its content
I know you probably mean that as a compliment :), but it sounds like it's good not to pay attention to the lesson... ;)
I like these glasses and you look really gorgeous ...and many people think in the same way ..I had to watched this lesson twice just looking at you and these glasses .. this charm and beauty distract attention from the lesson ..
These are very helpful . What's name of the cat? It looks moody. I'm gonna watch 80 contractions. Thank you.
I'm glad it was helpful! His name's Monty, and yes, he's a moody cat :).
Kindly convey my regards to Monty. He may enjoy music also.

Yes, my hair was tied back in this one :).
I thought that "wanna" have meaning only "want to", and say "i wanna sandwich" it's wrong.
No, it can mean either "want to" or "want a". ;)
