This took me back to listening to my late little brother play in our dad's shop. After hours, he and his band would jam until nightfall. We’d take breaks to grab food, but when someone truly loves their instrument, it can transport your soul into their world. My baby brother was diabetic and struggled with mental health issues, and when his meds were canceled, that was it-he didn’t last long. All because of how broken America's healthcare system is. I’d still have him here, listening to his angelic music, if things had been different. But thank you-thank you for giving me a moment to close my eyes and pretend I’m 16 again, whole and with him. Your smile is beautiful, and your spirit is legendary. I can’t thank you enough.
I’m so sorry, I can’t imagine losing someone that close. Especially to something as infuriating as that. Everyday I lose more and more faith in our screwed up country and somedays even humanity as a whole. I hope your in a good place now 😔
I'm 60, been playing since i was 8, and THAT my friend was so smooth and such feeling projected. And your tone... Thank you for sharing your Soul with us.
I'm 60 and anni started at the age of 8 too! My parents bought my brother a cheap guitar and he didn't want it, so they told me I could have it. Been playing ever since.
I understand it's wrong to bring up someone's physical appearances and/or disabilities especially when they're presenting some form of art and just respect the art form on it's own merits, yet I can't help but respect people who must've have gone through so many trials and tribulations in their life because of said circumstances and yet they show a love, passion and talent for the art form better than many people who are more privileged than they are. I think the way you play the guitar makes it seem like it's part of you. Thanks for sharing this with the internet. Kudos to you!!
of course it feels wrong to say it out loud but its the sad reality we live in. Hes obviously lived a difficult life and the way he's overcome it truly transcends superficial notions of beauty.
It’s literally never too late to start. And you CAN learn from him - right here, right now. Just pay attention to the movement of his fingers! You’ve got this. (:
I've been playing for 35 years and have NEVER heard so many intricate harmonics played WITHIN the chord, while HOLDING it. Every other player out there lets go of the chord/ghosting it to do the harmonics but you actually HOLD the chord and frame the harmonics around it making it that much more magical...and execute them flawlessly btw.. I. Am. FLOORED! These subtle nuances from a players perspective are what separates the practitioners from the pros, and you are a PRO! You are an absolute master of melody! Not sure how I got here but I'm subscribing right now, wow!!
Not to take away from anything this guy is playing which is amazing. But look up Alan Gogoll. Mulberry mouse. He’s not very well known but he’s amazing. Never heard harmonics like his either.
