Creating an solution to a problem that dont exist.
Ever had to use a paint roller? This is literally amazing if you only need 1 color lmao
@@TheDsRequiem why is it harder with a normal one if you only need 1 color
Unnecessary Inventions has entered the chat
Exactly! If it's not broken... DON'T FIX IT.
@@statomic ever have to get up and down a ladder a million times to paint a large wall? ever have limited space and tripped over the paint tray because there was no convenient place to put it? this thing may have a few drawbacks (ease of cleaning etc) but it certainly does have some advantages over a regular roller and tray in some circumstances. it definitely does solve some problems that some people may have, but it was never marketed as a better way to paint in all situations.
I mean i would use it for 1 colour backgrounds. I think it would be pretty nice to have that. Especially when painting big pieces it drives me crazy to roller paint a wall and there's always a huge mess.
It is obviously not made for multiple colours.
But i don't see any problem for backgrounds. Just removes all the mess and it's definitely way more comfortable than always needing to put it in paint and then roll it
That is a really genius product idea. Obviously its not gonna be perfect for street art where you need to switch colors because its designed for painting interior walls one solid color. It did exactly what it was supposed to. Seems like a great product to me.
exactly what i was thinking, i love doke but he is being a bit simple here
He wouldnt try to complete the whole piece with a regular roller, why does he try to do it here?
I’ve used these in the past, they do work as intended, the big issue is the amount of paint inside the tube you’re pushing up and down the wall the whole time gets heavy real quick
I mean yeah but like even in the context of painting a wall. But I mean, how is this more or less messy, or even more efficient then just using a paint roller? This just a paint roller that costs 50 euro for an incredibly mild conveniene.
It really depends on the individual. Some people like it and it works for them, others don’t. It was pretty funny to see Doke angry though
The benefit of this tool is for coloring an inside wall, just as it says.
most often people color their walls with a single color and in that case its very comfortable IMO
very confortable? how about the cleaning mess?!?!?!?!?!?
The roller at least made quick work of the cover-up. So, if you need to cover a BIG wall, then I think it could come in handy for you.
Glad your back hope your time off was peaceful
Loved the fact that u swore and just gave absolute honesty. Brilliant stuff yet again mate. Thank U🙏
I would say fill the tube with water and pump water through the roller before switching colors that may help
exactly my though, i dont know what his though to disassembly to do cleaning the roller
This is the candid content I subscribed for thank you for keeping it 💯! I loved how you pointed out how the tool didn’t work for you, but it could for others.
The neighbours must love having something new to look at all the time. Regardless of what it is. Bc it's always good. Nicely done, Doke! 😊👏👌
Does anyone remember when doke actually made content about graffiti and not just gimmicks? Man those where the days
the beginning is fire, literally
Haha i saw this thing the first time in a tv commercial in 1991 and i always was wondering if it works or not!!!
That intro chasing your dog!
😂🤣😂
It seems like the best use for this is to cover a wall a solid color so you have a nice start, much easier then the electric spray gun.. but a super pain in the ass to clean.. thank you for your efforts thats something that will probably be amazing in 2 more years
That painting has power and style - so I like it :)
They need to sell the roller with the inner tube and metal part attached . That way you just remove the tip, wash out the handle part with water , put on the new tip, and fill with color. Simple and easy .
Washing the roller is similar to washing a regular roller with a few extra parts, unless you just throw out the regular roller every time . In which case a regular roller is easier but you spend more money on replacement rollers .
I think it's to expensive for the little advantage to have more colour to roll. Or maybe multiple handles are an investment...
BUT THE CLEANING 😳
Edit:
I see, we came to the same conclusion 💜
Can't he just suck the water like it would be paint and push it out, to clean de roller?😅
@@Ile.D was just thinking that, would be worth a try
@@brapamaldi 👍🏼😁
I love that roller..had it years ago! U need buckets of water to clean !!!! Suck the water thru (just like paint) then pump handle to let out! Repeat ,repeat, repeat a bunch of times n EVERYTHING'S CLEAN !!! 😃👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 NO MESS !!!!!!"
Yea I don’t know why he disconnected all the pieces instead of pulling the water through it. Almost like he wanted to trash it
You know, you could maybe buy another roller part (just the moving section in front), so you have two complete sets, which you can interchange.
you still have to wash all of that
Then what? After it dries?
Or just use it to suck up some water and force it out the same as the paint, washing the entire head without pulling it all apart would be smart
Perhaps to clean the roller, you should have filled it with clean water several times (the same way you used paint)? (Thank you for the video))
Lol exactly what i was thinking.
I said that same thing
This or paint thinner potentially
thats literally what he did lol how is there this many comments for this
Nice video Doke, keep it up!
now I want to see what kinds of cool gradients you can make with this
Wow nice and clean as always 😉
Counterstrike PTSD straight away
Made me panic that I was about to start a round and hadn't done my loadout yet😆😆
It's no fault of the product. It did what it said it would. The problem is that it is designed for using one or 2 colors to paint walls in your home, not to create art with.
HOWEVER with that said, it works perfectly to base coat the walls you work on. So if anything I'd say it'd still be a good tool for just covering the walls in a base color for your work! So I wouldn't say it's a waste, or isn't worth it. I feel it will come in handy.
Love to see you make vids! also bless you for taking the chance and showing off cool stuff all the time!
Your painting looks cool. I like the simple style.
There was a life hack where if you cover your hands with a vaseline and then get paint on them it washes off with the vaseline. Why not use latex gloves, what about a bag over the roller and handle the bag?
Keep up the amazing work
I love your work!
You tossing shit in anger was me when I used one of these because I realized how much paint they waste, but my aunt insisted on using it for the room I was helping her paint. that squishy inner roller holds like half of the paint. Idk if they’ve changed it at all to stop that but I was shocked when we took it apart to clean it😂
Thanks for interesting experiment with unusual paint roller 🙂
Too funny! Can’t wait to see what’s next!
This may be me being dumb dumb brain but couldn’t you leave the roller on and just pump warm water through the same mechanism you pump the paint through while pumping it? Wouldn’t that push all the paint out as well or is the paint like oil based? (I know very little about paint) Obviously you would have to have like a “swatch” or something to wipe the paint away from the roller as you push the water through but would that not work?
I think those rollers would be good for mostly cover up prep for a new piece. Or for how you were saying a giant mural with a few different colors and several rollers with one for each color.
Try a Wooster pelican bucket it's a hand held bucket for small rollers and a brush!!
One of those tools, trying to replace something super simple with complexity. Thanks for saving me 50 bucks.
There always trying to okie doke you!!!!! 💥💥👍
I’m an exterior painter by trade, spraying is the way to get paint on the wall fast. They do make pneumatic rollers that work way better, always ready to paint no pumping, no filling up your Charlie. Switching colors would still suck tho
Wow oldschool CS sounds! Instant like!
I wonder if you could mix in multiple colors of paint in that tube and have a blend of the two colors both coming out of the roller while you paint?
As you are rolling it would just mix them together. Let's say red an blue, well after the first few rolls your sleeve would be completely purple.
Love your content nice work
When you use a product for a different use then intended, then make cleaning as difficult as possible it would look bad. could have forced clean water through the head a few times, super simple
I love how your attitude towards the roller just went to straight sarcasm at the end! 🤣🤣Also Beautiful work as always!!
Get a tool called a 7 in 1, it is a scraper with a hook section in it, You can scrape down the sleeve and remove excess paint.
Recommendation: revisit your ultra high pressure can challenge from 2 years ago. I've seen you developed so much in the last 2 years and I think it would make an interesting contrast to see what you come up with today for the same challenge.
These rollers ara amazing, they are made to paint interior walls in one colour without messing the floor or you. It is not made to paint a mural in several colours.
chocolate. Does seem to be gd for 1 color use but as for artwork murals n such the classic roller is the more efficient way to go.
Was a gr8 learning experience and ty for this trial run of the product!!! Keep the videos & reviews coming!!! Til next tyme...keep those cre8ive juices abrewing!!!
you also made the cleaning way harder then what it needed to be
i have the same roller, i used it to paint my house, it was amazing
You should put two light colors like pink and yellow and roll them together as a gradient!
The art came out fantastic and expressed your true feelings for that roller. I feel that rollers for people that don't know how to paint and a way to make money off of their ignorance. I can see you using that roller maybe if you're on a scalpel filled with a bunch of color like you said to help you with the big chunky areas or a background but other than that I don't see that roller really being a need
i would only use it as a primer holder and the other for painting the entire room
I like the paintt😍😍
I could see it being very useful for painting walls, but of a single color - like it is intended for. If there were a way which it could easily eject the paint roller, it would be a good tool to use for murals and wall art.
Face of anger wouldn’t bother me nearly as much as that roller contraption. 😵💫👈🏼
Can you test the mad max spray paint please it’s the most extreme spray paint in the market
What if you load the tube with some paint thinner to clean the roller from the inside out?????
We use an electric one where you went wrong for the cleaning process was taking it apart first should have pulled water through all of it and pushed water out of it through the roller multiple times
Me thinks that the person who came up with the new plunge roller wasn't thinking of a mural artist...he was thinking 'flat plain walls'......lol
Great video, loughed my ass off!
The real DOKE shined through today in your video. Best video to date. I want more videos with your true authentic self in them. Freedom of Expression my friend. I'm for it 100%.
Seems like this would be good for priming only.. or regular house painting where you're only using one or two colors on large surfaces.
I want to make a couple of tags with this thing!)
doke anger management is hilarious 😂
In fact, this roller works like calligraphy pen,and I see some solutions to problems with cleaning it. As for me,I would be happy to work with this outside
Great review. It still seems like spraing tool from Lidl is bit better. For cleaning you should have done the same as with tube just use water instead of paint for whole product
Even the Girlpainting couldnt believe this amazing roller. Her faceexpression fits so well 🤣
I think for painting house walls (it’s original intention) it’s good as that is largely done in the same colour
I’m crying from that intro 😭😭😂😂
Možná by pomohlo kdyby jsi natáhnul vodu dovnitř a prohnal ji ven i s nasazeným válečkem. Na domácí nátěr je to rozhodně super věc. Btw další super videjko. 🔥
6:46 historia de España, rip risitas siempre en nuestros corazones 🕊️🕊️
Wouldn’t bother me Doke. I would be happy to have you as a neighbor man
the work flow with that roller even if you had spare parts on the side feels like a pain
Honestly, this would be amazing for painting an entire office building one color, not so much art.
At what temperature does it get too cold to spray paint outside?
yoo bro if u want to take the roller off bang the metal on a corner and the roller will slide off easy u can bang the mini rollers back into the empty can of paint also to save the roller
I mean this tool is useful when painting wall indoors, but to make it efficient when using multiple colours I supposed you would have to buy separate "heads" which would probably cost you a lot... also you would have to carry a 5L jug of water 😅
Be good if your painting more then 1wall say a house just white then yeah seems good but not for Artwork 😉
Cool roller painting 🖼 👌
i feel like this thing need to come with like 3 of the heads things so you dont have to change the roler but just the holder and boom no cross contamination of paint
I feel like it would be pretty useful for indoor commission
Can you spray paint with an pen instead of cap
I dont paint with a roller, I just cover a wall so I can spray paint. So this roller helps cover the wall quick and I don't need a roller pan
Dude, have you tried to clean it like you did just after you removed the roller, fill it up with water, put the roller back and push the water out! You might need a small surface to do so but it it worth the try!
Yeah !!! Slaying it with a roller!!! ....that guy on a railcar........
Doke, pleaseee do more graffities
when cleaning it, would not disassembling it and just suck up and pushing out water, replacing the water in the bucket when needed work, and eventually the roller is clean as well ? or attach a hose in the hole where paint is sucked up and let it run for a while having the pressure from the hose press the water out through the roller, a bit wasteful tho.
Make it 30ft long and it’s perfect to hit rollies on building sides
You pull the water in to it like you do with the paint then roll it with water till it is clean
Finely! I expecting more videos of tools reviews, effect challenges and all the good stuff u used to do :(
As bucket paint lover i really liked this video. The struggle was real!
By the way i agree, this tool is mostly useless.
Ninja stick!
when u clean a roll use dreft the real one its works great im a painter learned this trick on the job u have to use way less water.
Just pump in water and pass it through the roll why didn't you do it a single time? would it rust?
1:10 "Ordinary hardware store"
Dude, it's Hornbach, of course it's expensive
It seems more like a product for construction/renovation than art. Ie painting a ceiling or a large room or multiple rooms the same color. Most likely a contractor would use sprayers to apply the paint but for someone looking to do it themselves it could make it less messy as long as they have no intention of keeping the paint roller afterwards... Which it sounds really costly for a single use item.
you could pumped it with water and it will maybe drip down
couldn't you clean the whole thing by pumping water through it with the roller still attached?
what if you were to start with light colours and in between changing colours "flush" it through with white to enable an easier transition between colours?
but still a somewhat gimmick invention interesting though
we used those to chug beer.... paint sticking! lol god we were hooligans
