You mentioned with Apothacary Dairies that the hook is the characters in many ways, and I agree, but it’s also, just like Frieran, just a high quality show in every way imo. The writing, the plot, the animation, the music, the character/scene design, etc. But the one thing that I think is the real stand out to me is the VA work, especially Aoi Yuki as Maomao. I really feel like she’s going to win tons of awards for her work as the character. She does such a great job conveying so many different emotions and range, and really sells it in the scenes where she’s trying to just stay quiet and invisible and out of danger, and the scenes where she can’t control herself and takes over a scene and her voice drops and it’s just soooo goood.
Garnt is right about Apocathery Diaries being like an ancient korean/chinese soap opera. Specifically Jewel in the Palace aka Dae Jang Geum, also about a palace maid who became a physician, who is also romantically involved with a high ranking official. 90s Asian kids will know this one.
Ahh yes, Jewel in The Palace. This jogs my memories. It's the first Korean drama I watched with my mom every afternoon when I was in elementary school. Even with the dub version, I was too young to understand the story. I got lost in the plotline, I didn't get the politics, I never laughed during the comedy part, but it always hyped me up when Dae Jang Geum (MC) presents her innovative-delicious foods in front of the Emperor and Empress, beating her rivals in the process. I used to look forward to it everyday. My mom sometimes giggled during the romantic scene, but I didn't get it. The thing that really stick with me until today though, is when Jang Geum hit the lowest point in the middle part of the story. It was so heart wrenching, my mom and I cried for weeks. The rest of the story didn't cheer me up like it did before (even if it does have some hype moments), but Jang Geum, being the hopeful person that she is, continue to persist no matter what kind of shit life throws at her. The ending is a relatively a happy ending (I think), or maybe I missed the bittersweet part. I thought it's a complex story, cause I remember I had a mix feelings when the bad guy was finally defeated; it's the first story that made me feel this way. Apothecary Diaries does remind me a lot with Jewel in the Palace. It has it all; drama, mystery, suspense, politics, palace harem, food, medicine, comedy, romance. The big differences would be the MC's respective personality, and I think the dramatic aspect in JITP hits harder compared to AD (it's more angsty). But both are beautifully written complex story. Now that I'm an adult and could appreciate the complexity of AD, I'm gonna give JITP a retry. It's been awhile. You guys should watch Jewel in the Palace too if you haven't already, it's really a solid show!
@@forotherpurpose3671 I remember my dad getting my mom the DVD set for it during summer hols, all 50+ episodes. It was my first Kdrama. We cleaned it up in less than a week. That was the first time I binged a show, it was so addictive. Dong Yi was another one I enjoyed several years later with a similar premise (servant girl ends up in imperial palace, is exiled for some reason at some point, eventually gets into a high station, becomes romantically involved with royalty etc)
@FrozFroz, "A palace maid who became a physician" Are you hinting at "The Imperial Doctress"? That was the first show that I thought of when I read the synopsis for Apothecary Diaries
Frieren already in my top 5 of all time. Absolutely gorgeous, emotional, fights with Stark are choreographed perfectly, *the* scene (if you’ve seen it you know which one I’m talking about) was so hype without even needing crazy action, the characters are all so memorable and even side characters have good writing. What a masterpiece.
I haven't finished Apothecary Diaries because of post-secondary school. But it reminded me of how politics not only has a place in fiction (which I knew already) but it's draw. Some works of fiction can't stick the landing on the drama that goes into that aspect of a story, but when it does it drives an emotional tie to the setting and worldbuilding and how it affects the characters. Such as geopolitics and how characters will be perceived from different places and how they were raised, the bureaucracy and how it will annoy characters and create obstacles, or how economics work in different parts of a world (capitalism, imperialism, communism, nomadism, etc.). Delicious tea, as Garnt said.
I think an important thing to keep in mind is that Frieren isn't rated "the best anime ever made" it is "the highest rated anime." And i don't think it's much of a surprise having it up there in that context. It is a well polished show, with fun and interesting character dynamics, a plot interesting enough to keep you engaged, and beautiful animation. A well polished package with very few blemishes is exactly what i would expect to place high since if everyone says "Yeah its 9/10". That versus shows with bigger ups and downs. Is Lord of the Rings the best movie ever made? Probably not, but how well it is executed raises it to the top. I think Frieren reaches a similar niche.
Agreed, I think what also sets it apart is that no matter what anime someone's into, or if they're into anime at all, you can recommend it to them and chances are they're going to enjoy it. For example I know many people who stopped watching anime because they grew out of "anime bullshit", Frieren has none of it and it got them back into anime. That's what a number 1 rated show is supposed to be and why FMAB is rated so highly as well.
I mean, almost all the major plot points and events that drive the story forward are all related to her working out some sort of mystery. So yeah, it definitely qualifies to me.
EiS and 100 girlfriends has the same energy just mirrored. One gives zero fucks for his harem and the other gives all the fucks for his. Both writers said "ill use every trope but turn it up to 200%"
Blacksmith song scene elevated Shangri-La Frontier for me a lot. Could probably write a full-blown essay on why that was so good. A big thing about Shangri-La Frontier is that [this is a relatively early spoiler but I'll put it below the break anyway] . . . . . . the game's NPCs die permanently if killed. And it's kinda weird to call that "stakes," because to Sunraku, Emul and Vysache and the rest are fictional characters from a video game. If they die, it's just a story beat that he probably doesn't really care about. To the audience, however, Sunraku is equally fictional (duh). The narrative stakes from our perspective are no different between the NPCs getting killed and Sunraku getting mugged on the street between play sessions. With Sunraku choosing to stand there in silence and watch as Vysache works, the blacksmith song scene kind of shows Sunraku has been brought onto our level of narrative investment, when you juxtapose it with the early scene of him skipping SLF's intro cutscene, or the way he acts with respect to the kusoge that he's used to playing. It's no longer just about proving how much of a Gamer(tm) he is. You can sort of see a similar arc in--uh, I forget her name--the lady from the PVP guild, when it comes out that she's genuinely invested in the backstory behind one of the big bosses she and Sunraku are going off to fight. Also, the song is a banger.
@@shanidgolam L use of the english language, first of all. Secondly, what is your point? That having media literacy and making special note of subtle character growth is bad actually? Oh look someone on the internet took time to eloquently articulate something that really resonated with them in great detail, I better take em down a peg with low effort contrarianism!
So happy to see Gigguk and so many others on the Eminence in Shadow hype train now. I loved how they were so misleading with the first couple trailers going into it, and I couldn’t wait to see people’s reactions once they found out what the show really was. So happy to see people really understand it and get into the show.
@@FullyMartin Bro its a parody isekai. Its not for everyone. Its for those who watch too much isekai and are familiar with "misunderstanding trope". Parody animes are those animes which makes fun of their genre Example. Gintama, One Punch Man, 100 100 Girlfriend, Saiki k, Konosuba , eminence in shadow etc. You have to watch each parody anime in each different Mindset respectively and don't take them too seriously.
@@niteshnishad6191 I know that, I've watched all of those shows and they do it well. I know that to expect. And that still doesn't excuse the amount of unfunny cringe that was in the bulk of the show. Saying "it's parody" doesn't make something cringe automatically funny, EoS just didn't do the parody well for me.
I don't know why Ragna Crimson gets called a power fantasy. Sure, the pseudo-reincarnation setup is the same as one, but then it doesn't have the MC easily curbstomp his enemies or all the other characters wank him over. Also, he depends heavily on Crimson.
Can anyone give me some good anime/manga recommends for the sexism genre? Some racism shows would be good too. (I wouldn't say no to some antisemitism hentai either ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°))
The Apothecary Diaries and SouSou no Frieren are what i call quietly perfect. They do everything really well but don't have a major in your face hook. Like for example Monster does. They do everything with finesse.
As much as I loved jjk, Frieren and the apothecary diaries are definitely the best imo🤝🏾both are amazing. Given time I can see them becoming my favourite new gens.
Frieren and Apothecary Diaries taking care of plot side of things while JJK taking care of action. Absolutely fantastic season. The director of JJK s2 is immensely talented and can make standout high profile episodes by himself but he's not been given proper time, he also has very good sense for aesthetic and composition. If Mappa gives him enough time no production is standing next to JJK s3.
Jjk season 2 was not just the shibuya arc y'know. Hidden inventory arc was better than shibuya arc imo but seeing gigguk not even mention that arc made me upset.
@@plutonasalow key you are right I also felt much more emotionally invested in HI rather than Shibuya I like HI like I like guardian of the galaxy I like Shibuya like I enjoy Endgame Guardian of galaxy 3 is a much better movie than Endgame but obviously hype and popularity is on Endgame side
@@za-ir5ni Perhaps it was too short, but I felt it did what it needed to do without "fluff". The fights involved characters with more than one episode of screen time, so I was able to be invested. Yes, both Shibuya and HI have fights that are needed for the conclusion of each arc, but the character investment in HI let me feel the stakes were higher because I was allowed time to like and the characters.
Man, Gigguk ended up skipping Tearmoon too? That’s unfortunate. I feel like It was a hidden gem that season. In my opinion it’s better than most isekai/fantasy shows that content creators ended up talking about in their tier lists
That show was hilarious coming from a One Piece fan who loves the unintentional genius joke Oda introduced me to with characters like Buggy I really appreciate the princess in that show
@@reazulzannah738 what’s ironic is that I watched the anime (and later even read LNs) because Gigguk mentioned Tearmoon in his “Fall anime in a nutshell” video. I thought for sure he’d mention it here, but I guess sacrifices needed to be made. A shame it had to be Tearmoon though
@@Andrewkin77 He had a negative reaction, almost like he was triggered when the trailer mixed some comedy with the serious tragic bits. The trailer wanted to show that the series isn't just doom and gloom, but he assumed the worst from it. This was thus slept on.
@@reazulzannah738 He was kinda right, I wish the director would've kept the focus on Tia's bumbling. The comedy was gold, but got dilluted whenever it dwelt on the past, tried to do fight scenes or be serious in the last arc. They even cut good jokes that were in the manga, I don't know what they were thinking
You didn't even finish Under Ninja, and you think it was crazy? It got 10x crazier. "Ninjutsu: Flowing Water" is the classic ninja joke in there. Kengo Hanazawa is GOATed, Boys on the Run is a favorite manga of all time.
22:00 This might be a fantasy for women too who aren't used to guys being nice to them. Although to be fair, I do think Our Dating Story is a bit deeper than that, because the girl was used to being with guys who only wanted her for her body, but she wanted a more meaningful relationship than that, so he really connected with her.
58:58 When Gigguk was dunking on Delta fans in an earlier stream, as soon as he mentioned that he had only watched the Lawless City arc at that point I went “Oh, he just doesn’t know then, he’ll turn around” Lo and behold

Another wonderful manwha that's similar to Apothecary Diaries with an extremely strong female lead that deals really heavily in politics instead of just pure romance is "I Shall Master this Family". I recommend it to anyone who like Apothecary Diaries.
Where is The Ancient Magus Bride, the second cour was debatably top 5 and easily top 10 this season and had the best finale episode (not better than the AOT finale obviously). Hoping its in best of 2023 video because Gigguk hasn't talked about season 2 at all and I really want to hear his thoughts about this season. Idk if he creates the tier list (he probably doesn't) but its a shame not seeing the attention this series clearly deserves compared to shows like "A Returner's Magic Should be Special" and "Beserk of Gluttony." Happy to see Apothecary Diaries, Eminence in S tier and Frieren taking its rightfully deserved crown as the peak of fall 2023 anime.
JJK season 2 is this generation's Naruto Pain Arc/Bleach's end of Hueco Mundo arc. Very memorable, extremely hype. Very glad I waited for it to finish before watching.
I was surprised by Apothecary Diaries too, and you're absolutely right by saying there is no hook. That said, i dont know if its the fact that there is eunuchs everywhere but it reminds me of the early seasons of Game of Thrones. Jinshi is very Varys-esque in a few ways.
Garnt completely misunderstanding "Our Dating Story" seems pretty consistent with what I've seen from him with genuine romance anime. The point wasn't the the guy was nice, nor was it that the girl agreed. It's more of a "HigeHiro" situation where a girl who had never been treated well found someone who finally treated her well, and was genuine
@@jaideepshekhar4621You aren't getting attack on Titan-level plot, that's for sure. It's much more realistic and reasonable than most Harem or Romance shows with needlessly overdramatic plots.
I really recommend to read Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint. I recently finished reading till the newest chapter and it's bloody amazing. Give it 15 chapter and you will be hooked.
Please read the novel, you won’t regret it. It’s completed (side story aside) and it genuinely blows everything else in the genre out of the water. It’s not that the competitors are bad, it’s that omniscient reader’s viewpoint is so fucking bonkers and insane peak.
@@BearEnjoyerI’ve heard of it before and it’s on my list, but it would take a hell of a fucking lot to top ORV for me. ORV had me sobbing by the end and I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s a love letter to writing at its heart. Perfect ending, I didn’t even want to read the side story for the longest time bc of how perfectly ORV ended. And there’s so much foreshadowing on reread.
Even though it was pretty much inevitable that Gigguk was gonna pick 100 Girlfriends over Girlfriend Girlfriend and I was prepared for that, I will command him for his brave statement that he enjoyed both of them more than Quintessential Quintuplets. I do think QQ was a good harem anime, but I can never quite understand what about it made it so insanely popular. 😁
Is that even a controversial thing to say? 100 Girlfriends at least is easily better received than Gotoubun in general. Might not have quite the same viewer numbers but it's probably the most well-liked harem manga in recent years. Kanojo mo Kanojo is more polarizing so that's probably more debatable but you still see quite a lot of people that really enjoy its comedy style as well
Fun fact: Hyakano(100girlfriends) manga was published earlier than kanojo mo kanojo manga. Hyakano: dec 26 2019 Kanojo mo kanojo : mar 4 2020 However, Kanojo mo kanojo got an anime adaptation earlier than Hyakano
@HaXXspetten I was pretty much referring more towards Kanojo Mo Kanojo. It's very rare that I hear anyone talking about it to the same extent as other harem anime of recent times. So in a way, I get very jealous because I love Kanojo Mo Kanojo so much but it's always every other harem anime like Rent-A-Girlfriend or QQ that I cannot escape from.
@Yaatta. I thought I remember that being the case. I know I definitely first heard about 100 Girlfriends as a manga whereas I didn't know about Girlfriend Girlfriend's existence until the anime came out.
Shy I promise is actually at least a A tier EP 8 starts the Russia arc and OMG that goes so hard that was airing during Kuma flashback in One Piece manga so I can tell you SHY was also cooking something really special If you have seen both you know how they can be compared to each other and obviously Kuma will be a much bigger deal but considering it took only 8 episode to set up the Russia arc it's really impressive that SHY is almost competing with some GOATS like One Piece top flashback
@@koong3097like I always said to describe it Imagine justice League animated series meet the best of magical girl writing peak with fights that are actually metaphor for inner emotional or ideological conflicts and victory it's not about power but empathy and understanding and emotional maturity
I waited for JJK to finish airing in its entirety before watching and for good reason. I could not put it down once I started. The only break I took was after watching Sukuna vs Jogo and Sukuna vs Mahogara back to back. When I tell you my brain cells were so fried that sleep was the only way to process what I watched properly enough to accept any new visual information. JJK s2 more than delivered on the hype. Hats off to the animators!!
I think JJK is good but a little overhyped. I don't like that it tries to be overly complex, but then explain that complexity, yet it explains it in a way that doesn't make sense at least without further research. Characters are cool and all, but I also feel like they weren't developed enough for you to really care when they died/got injured. Of course there was the whole thing with the animators. I'll give them props for still completing the season, but I think a lot of the later fights although there was great choreography, the animation just wasn't that clean/refined. I would put it high A tier, but when I think more about the amount of action and stuff that happened this season, it is an S.
I mean its overhyped a lot and carried by the animation, If people actually pay attention to its the power system its broken considering its based on emotions in how a person can get stronger with cursed energy, you then have the "explain/reveal" powers on top of that which makes them stronger (this is such a dumb way to give an excuse for a trope, and there are no reason behind it). Geto turning evil from an easy dilemma where it can be solved by taking out the whole time vessel association, which would have then made him a more morally grey character and a pragmatic solver. Instead Geto gets taken over by kenjaku offscreen after the jjk Movie 0 which is cheap and coincidental, etc. The ability of Geto/Kenjaku's maximum: Uzumaki got retconned to be a plot device in S2 when in the movie 0 it was stated/shown to be a destructive attack. This means Kenjaku could have at any point just have absorbed Mahito, even right after sealing Gojo and initiate the culling earlier. Not to mention how he could have abused the crap out of stealing abilites from grade 1+ cursed spirits, etc.
Stardust Telepath was slept on frfr. Great CGDCT drama show and had my favourite OP of the season. Shy gets elevated to A by the last ~4 episodes, massive tearjerker. Tearmoon empire was also a nice funny show (Sasuga Mia-Sama). 2:14:50 ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Edit: Also WataOshi (I'm in love with the villainess) was like an A or B - as a WN reader I can tell you that we NEED a 2nd season, the next four arcs are peak and finish the first part of the story. and Hikkomori Kyuketsu (Shut in vampire princess) also A or B, some great characters and goofy action comedy.
You are subbed to muse Asia aren't you? My brother I share exactly the same opinions 100 everything you said is perfection More slept on show available for free on Ani One Asia yt channel The witch and her family situation The 4 brothers I don't remember the name but it's about these 4 brothers who became orphans and now they are helping each other be a family and cope with this new situation of growing up orphans Actually a very cute and wholesome show for the most part although inevitably sad for some moments
Did you notice in the OP they used like morse code because it's a show about trying to communicate with the aliens and trying to reach something somewhere far away If you played Pokémon that op is as beautiful as the XY psychic gym in kalos in the city of the big pink solar clock that unlocks the megastones
The only thing I disagree SHY gets elevated to S by that Russia orphanage arc To me that is borderline peak fiction hit me almost as hard as Chimera ant ending which muse Asia also aired not so far in time compared to Shy And obviously Chimera ant is better but the fact that I feel like I can put both in the same sentence to me that's evidence Shy is S Or maybe it's just me because I also grew up with a single mom like Pesha the alcoholic russian hero luckily my mom is healthy and well
@@tpsam Nah I used the "high seas" streaming sites. I know which anime you mean but have only watched the first couple episodes of both (Last season had too much anime bruh) The beeps and boops are one of the reasons I loved the OP. Sadly its not actually morse code. And yeah that last arc was pretty S-tier, overall I'd still have to give the show an A tho - hopefully the 2nd season manages to deliver more on that level.
Calling it underrated is absurd, it was one of the most watched and highly rated shows of the season. Like 9th most watched on mal and 7th highest score.
I suggest to you ( and to everyone) to read "SSS-Class suicide hunter" and "Survival Story of a Sword king in a fantasy World". The first one is regressor story but it is actually good and emotional; the second one is a fantasy ( a bit edgy) story with good world building, good art and fights. There is the "op MC" but he is good made and he isn't the strongest ( even if he is op) of the serie and, on top of all, the story isn't too bad/predictable.
SSS suicide hunter really has everything. Tower system, martial arts, cultivation, romance, villainess, game system, power fantasy, roleplay, tragedy, gods, etc. Truly one of the best manhwas/web novels out there
SSS-Class Suicide Hunter is trash. Reason is below if you want to read, if you don't want to read just dislike me and go away. SPOILER ALERT!!! I dropped SSS-class suicide hunter because the mc has no personality man like bro wanted to be like the flame emperor, ok fine but why? Did he wanted money? No. Did he wanted fame? probably, but later chapters he was not chasing fame. So what did he want? Power I guess, but why did he wanted power? So he could have fame, I guess. So lets get this straight he wanted to become like flame emperor because he wanted fame. Ok fine I am fine with a mc wanting power or envious of people having power because he wanted fame because that's makes him human and so he was so envious that tower gifted him with a power that lets him take any power "randomly" from the opponent he died to. fast forward a bit, now he died to the flame emperor he gets his ex rank skill that lets him revive from dead 24 hour before his death (Yeah I know already broken skill, nice world building I guess), so he gets revived and then kills himself 4080 times just to kill the flame emperor guy when he didn't have the skill. Ok what, this is where story starts going bad. Ok so how can someone kill themselves 4080 times and still be sane, Like if someone killed themselves with a knife, probably 5 times would be enough for them to think its not worth it. Like what was his motivation he wanted flame emperor power because he wanted fame and that's definitely not enough motivational for him to kill himself 4080 times. Like if he had some kind of motivation then I was still willing read it, heck even if he became an edgelord I was fine with it. Well I will leave at that, if wanted to I can keep going forever because this all happened in like the first chapter and I read it till like 80 chapter, I dropped it before on like 12 chapter. but continued it because someone said its very emotional?, yeah because everybody like cry po*n.
@@13thAlineOne of the worst takes I’ve ever seen. Congrats! Legit one of the best written Manhwa of all time, and on par with some of the best written manga. The story and writing is 100x better than any manhwa that’s been adapted into anime so far (Returners, Solo Leveling, Tower, etc., all mediocre story-wise). When it finally gets adapted it’s going to completely blow people away when it gets to even just the first Doll arc, let alone the Heavenly Demon arc. But you are right about one thing, the premise, and the initial setup do make you think it’s going to be somewhat generic, but man, once it finishes it’s first arc you know it’s absolutely something special, and it never slows down from there.
@@KahlevN Ah yes generic manwha power fantasy with Return by death gimmick is the best written thing ever. When in reality it' just another average MC being underdog for five seconds, got lucky and now he's SSS class with MC. As if we have not already seen this exact same story for the 500th times. If you gonna read SSS, try omniscient reader instead. Because SSS is basically just a rip-off of that shows with with Return by death as a gimmick. Or evem better, read Rezero
a lot of people brushed off buta reba (pig isekai) as another trash isekai with another trash gimmick. though after watching through it, it slowly focuses on the world building aspect of it instead of focusing on the MC. it slowly leaves you bits and pieces that the world the girl lives in is actually pretty dark/shady aspects to it and its actually pretty thought out. its only really held back by its animation, and the lack of hook it gives to the viewers. (i could see it being put at high C near the 'A Returner's Magic Should Be Special' since they both have the same flaws where they both lack the 'hook' that really makes the anime stands out) other anime that stood out for me this season that wasn't in the list are - Tearmoon Empire (A) - I'm in Love with the Villainess (B) - The Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess (B) and the continuation of - dark gathering (A) - helck (B) - zom100 (A)
I agree with his first reaction to shy it started slow. You don’t get invested into the main character and her damn shyness. And even I wasn’t really interested on finishing the anime but I had nothing else to watch at the end and watched the last 3 episodes. And let me tell you those last 3 episodes slapped harder than will smith. They were emotional. With actual I’m sure most of those watching at least had one tear in their eyes and you come to realize that this story is more chaotic than what anyone realizes. Frankly if why would have been like that from the start it would have hold way more people and overall would have been a way more enjoyable anime. At first I was like really a season 2 got announced but now I’m actually looking forward to what they have stored in season 2
As someone who is caught up with the manga, the last 3 episodes of season 1 are just the beginning. Also, I recommend checking out the manga if you want to see some absolute eye candy. The anime's visuals are pretty good, but they don't hold a candle to the manga. It has some of the best art I've ever seen in a manga.
You hit the nail on the head with Frieren. At first it seems like a Violet Evergarden type show, of a girl discovering her emotions, but really Frieren has always been a really kind girl who genuinely cares for her friends. With her view on time itself though, it's just that human lives are too fleeting to get too emotionally attached. And that's now her one regret.
I tried to get into Shangri-la(?) multiple times, but i sadly just couldn't. A lot of the games aspects, and how the MC interacts with them completely break my immersion
Pluto's ending was fine. It may have seemed rushed or sudden, but that's mainly because it's only based off a single arc in the overall astro boy story. Of course it will feel like there's more to the story afterward. There's further adventures for Atom, but Gesicht and Pluto's stories have come to a conclusion.
55:02 TRUE !!!! the eminence in shadow has the one of the best world buildings in Isekai . every fking city scene is op and looks cool and at the last arc Oriana arc the Castel of Oriana kingdom has the one of the best building designs
Even though protocol rain have bad gameplay cg, the story and settings are as much believable than you think. MC had a tragic story involving his father's accident which leads to his father's death and his younger sister's serious injury. The fact that he played the game instead of going out with his family made him think his serious addiction to gaming had impact involving the accident. It was like something similar to Stewie2K and ropz from CSGO pro, Stewie2k's parents refused to accept their son's addiction to gaming, so he had to separate himself from his own family. For ropz, even before becoming pro, he's known as a player with very mechanic movements and aiming, making him look like seriously aimbotting. Called out by many pros, he even flied to FaceIt HQ to prove himself that he's not hacking/cheating. He only had streaming as his main source of income, and then his father ended his own life because of financial problems. And thus he began to make CSGO pro his so that he could make his own living and make his father proud. In the end, protocol rain has a very good story.
I can't believe overtake is A and Shy is C bruh they're the same show character driven Human dramas granted that overtake character are much more grounded and realistic But Shy character are much more cinematic and epic Frankly Shy character being so grandiose make for more highly emotional stories and impactful emotional moments that goes both ways Extremely tragic or heroic and epic and triumphant Not to mention even in calming mild slice of life emotional tone Shy shines brighter than overtake and does this kind of episodes better than overtake as well Literally except for being realistic and relatable everything overtake does great SHY does it better And Shy can be very relatable because sometimes even in that world some very real shit that a lot of people can relate with it's portrayed really skillfully
Well, the thing is: Thats your opinion. And that in the Vod is Gigguks. I also think Overtake is better. But my wife dont. Shy is sadly a obvious tryhard, thats what i dont like. And thats because i am older an my tastes are now more critical. For others who does like these kind of cheese its brilliant.
@@stefanuhrmann6231it is cheesey I will give you that But I think Garnt simply didn't watch enough episodes because he doesn't care about Shy aesthetics he probably dropped it because obviously like everyone else couldn't see the Russia arc coming so hard out of nowhere Overtake and Shy are so similar they literally have almost the same pace because they both have a big emotional climax around EP 10 Overtake with the disappearance of the photographer and the protagonist driver reaching him to have this trip on the earthquake tsunami place where the photo with the girl child and the scandal started to visit the grandpa before he dies It's that arc for overtake vs Russia arc which climaxed around EP 10 as well in Shy And I take Russia arc over overtake no pun intended 100% always And even in the slow slice of life EP like the sponsorship in the neighborhood episode compared to like the old lady hiking the mountain episode Again Shy does it better I love both shows because they're both great and written amazingly but Shy takes the cake for going so hard and bombastic and epic while also when it happened super tragic and sad as well Simply a much wider range of emotions and intensity
@@stefanuhrmann6231 tryhard is definitely a quality rather than a flaw It depends on if you can deliver and in my book exceeded any minimum requirements of delivering by lights years it delivered massively I cry like a little baby I cheered and rejoice felt warm in my heart all that great stuff A bad example of tryhard imo is jjk Omg look at this plot and shocking developments and actually delivered almost no emotional impact except for let's goo this is hype Which is ok and acceptable if it wasn't trying so clearly massively hard to be like oh this is actually a very mature show with great writing and high stakes and great tragedy But failed to deliver
There were so many good to great show like overtake that are great surprises last season SHY is another one I put in that The Witch and her family situation another but in a different genre and mood still great
Kingdoms of ruin is so fucking slept on as THE "the room" of anime. It's so cringeworthy that it becomes good again. The characters are in no way believable or consistent in any way and the MC is so unhinged that the entire show becomes a weird amalgam of both predictability and surprise. The pacing is also all over the place. Me and my mate had a blast watching it
Apothecary diaries, Eminence in Shadow, pluto, and frieren were peak anime of this season Ngl I enjoyed jjk memes more than jjk s2 because the deaths were mid still s tier overall
My bro enjoyed Kingdom of Ruin, and convinced me to give it a go. So after each episode he got a large paragraph of all the things that suck about it. And by Ep4, I couldn't even force myself to watch it anymore and just dropped.
The Shibuya Arc is a modern York Shin Arc. You can really tell in Hidden Inventory and beyond writing that Gege reads Hunter x Hunter and I'm all about it. If Hunter x Hunter is never going to finish, well, this story will eventually finish. But it is just a modern Hunter x Hunter mixed with Bleach.
That's my problem with jjk more than a problem it's a curse Jjk min max optimized from all the great shounen Naruto bleach HxH as you said Which gave it its strength But here is the curse It also limited it within the boundaries that those other shows it borrowed from already set The weakness of jjk it's that it didn't invent nothing and doesn't present nothing new that we have never seen before
@@tpsamhonestly my only weekness is I want more character interactions. The author does a great job at making characters like able but then focuses on story development and the overall plot of the story too much instead of giving characters time to breath and interact more. You like the Apothecary Diaries so much because it is low key an isekai. Maomao gets transported into another world where she uses her skills learned in her previous life to solve all the problems. Or it is just a great show with fantastic production value You decide!
Shy is a tough one. I honestly kind of had to just muscle through the first 2/3 of it, and almost dropped it. But it eventually hits its stride in the last 4 episodes, and it's actually quite good. It made me look forward to part 2, which I originally had no interest in before then. I would say the first 8 episodes are like a C, but the latter ones are an A for sure. If you're willing to sit through the slow start, I think it's worth it.

Disagree about JJK S2. I don’t think it deserves a placement that high. JJK suffers from being too action-oriented. It’s action scenes are undoubtedly some of the best the medium can offer, however, that’s basically it. It very rarely felt like any of the action scenes were in service of an engaging story. Action isolated from story becomes near-meaningless. For me, JJK S2 didn’t deliver on the emotional story beats (aside from Hidden Inventory) that compels me to watch battle shounen. It relied on the “rule of cool” to deliver hype instead of character moments. This failed for me, especially compared to Luffy vs. Blueno, Naruto vs. Pain, or Ichigo vs. Byakuya. Those moments work for me to instil hype because of the emotional and dramatic stakes that preceded them. Meanwhile, I never got the same feeling from JJK S2 because every fight felt like a routine; the protagonists fought an antagonist because they were available to fight. There was never enough breathing room to create the anticipation necessary for a fight to feel hype.
its overhyped and carried by the animation, If people actually pay attention to its the power system its broken considering its based on emotions in how a person can get stronger with cursed energy, you then have the "explain/reveal" powers on top of that which makes them stronger (this is such a dumb way to give an excuse for a trope, and there are no reason behind it). Not to mention how he could have abused the crap out of stealing abilites from grade 1+ cursed spirits, etc.
i wish i knew how to get out that i appreciate the animators. That they should not feel underappreciated and should stand proud and stay strong. and i hope they get breaks and rest and stay in good health.
A lot of people watching the stream seemed to find Dead Mount Death Play boring, but I have to really disagree. The colorful characters combined with increasingly tangled lives creates a similar anticipation to a rave where you are waiting for the beat to drop.
It just seemed like a generic battle royale. It had a generic yandere GF, a generic righteous MC, generic villains with no depth to them, etc. Also, it is kinda edgy.
NGL, I think "stakes" in the way you said it are overrated. The important thing is to make the audience invested in whatever the MC's see as the stakes. Its why stakes that escalate too far in an action series kinda feel meaningless, because we dont care about "the world", we care about like a dozen or so people in the world. By putting every character we care about at risk, the world is now effectively in danger because the only part of the world we care about is in danger. And on the other side, its why we can be invested in a sports anime or a romance anime where the only stakes are winning a non life or death game of sports ball or just hoping these 2 people get together and live happily ever after, because all that matters is that we care about what the characters care about in a fairly proportional manner. The videogame anime that don't have SAO "you die in the game, you die in real life" premise is that we need to care about the protagonists goals. How do you make us care about the "Stakes" in a videogame anime? The exact same way you make us care about the "Stakes" in any other story that exists. Make us care about the characters and make us want to see them achieve their goals. It doesn't matter if its a game, actual life or death, seeing a ship sail, or winning a tennis match. It doesn't matter if its "just a videogame". We just have to care about the characters, and what they are doing. The problem is when videogame anime (or manga/manhwa, whatever) that dont have an SAO situation going on and its literally just a game have characters act like its SAO when its not. When the characters are over invested and we the audience are just like "...bro calm down, its just a game". The non-SAO videogame setting is pretty common in Manhwa and some of the worst ones are the ones where they act like its the end of the world or that their lives are actually on the line. Make us feel their frustration at dying and losing levels or tons of time or money or equipment or failing a no retry quest/event. We can relate and empathize with that

Romances where bland nice guys win aren’t called out for being power fantasy, because they belong to an equally sad category of wish fulfillment. Many Isekai get crap because many of them belong to both categories at the same time.
WataOshi is amazing show worth watching not just as yuri but also as villainess isekai. My favourite part of all villainess isekais is protagonist utilizing their in-game knowledge to their advantage and that show does it quite well. The plot is also very interesting and leaves you guessing what the bad guys are plotting and trying to achieve. Shame Garnt haven't watched it this season.
Garnt considering your taste and how you love Justice League the animated series you have to try SHY again Imagine that world crossing with the best of magical girls writing tropes about conflicts and fights being actually metaphors for emotional growth and healing relationships or broken bonds or better understanding and empathising Shy is such a mature show that goes so hard emotionally really touching your soul

It is not bad, but not good enough to spend the time in my opinion. 58:30 Thank you 2:22:00 I got that feeling too. Its a great show I have nothing really to say about JJK. Its good For everything I have seen, I think your absolutely right.
So glad Garnt enjoyed Overtake! As a F1 fan, it really showed the aspect of being the underdog team fighting against the big wallet. A big YAY for Apothecary Diaries too. It's a show that makes you want to watch right away despite having no big twist at the end of every episode. It just so fun! Maomao is a strong female lead without being annoying. She just doesn't give a f*ck and it's so funny. The bigger drama is also so intriguing I'm willing to let the show cook. And I'm still pissed Undead Unluck isn't widely available for international streaming (legally) yet. It will get crazy for sure, so strapped in. As for JJK, the Mappa working situation has ruined my enjoyment too much I have to take a break from it. It was my most awaited season for 3 years, but seeing the real life treatment just sucks for me. I will get back to it for sure, but damn do I wish better for the animators cause they are GOAT!

2023 was a good year for anime
Yeah can't wait to gigguk's best of anime 2023 video
True!
2023 was a good year for entertainment in general. It was the best year for games, and some really good shows and movies came out
Any idea when it is coming out?
One of the best in quite some time
Frieren already in my top 5 of all time.
It is 2 cour anyways. So still going on this current season. So can watch all 24 when it is done.
I'm just glad that we have something else besides FMAB to say that with
Saying Lord of the rings (whichever one) is the greatest movie ever made isnt a hot take that’s a respectable greatest of all time
Apothecary diaries is a detective show in disguise
Change my mind
I mean, almost all the major plot points and events that drive the story forward are all related to her working out some sort of mystery. So yeah, it definitely qualifies to me.
Doctor House
It’s becoming more of a detective show every week lol
And that's my favorite part
Apocathery throwing hands with the big boys. Hell yeah
EiS and 100 girlfriends has the same energy just mirrored. One gives zero fucks for his harem and the other gives all the fucks for his. Both writers said "ill use every trope but turn it up to 200%"
100 kanojo is essentially what harem fans have been wishing for, just for chadtarou himself.
Blacksmith song scene elevated Shangri-La Frontier for me a lot. Could probably write a full-blown essay on why that was so good.

the game's NPCs die permanently if killed.
Shangri-La Frontier was my favorite anime of the season and I hope they keep animating it since it’s very long and ongoing

Man, Gigguk ended up skipping Tearmoon too? That’s unfortunate. I feel like It was a hidden gem that season. In my opinion it’s better than most isekai/fantasy shows that content creators ended up talking about in their tier lists

You didn't even finish Under Ninja, and you think it was crazy? It got 10x crazier. "Ninjutsu: Flowing Water" is the classic ninja joke in there. Kengo Hanazawa is GOATed, Boys on the Run is a favorite manga of all time.
Fr it got slept on soo much
I really liked the angel next door... because for some fucking reason their chemistry reaaaally intrigues me...
58:58 When Gigguk was dunking on Delta fans in an earlier stream, as soon as he mentioned that he had only watched the Lawless City arc at that point I went “Oh, he just doesn’t know then, he’ll turn around”
Lo and behold
GIGGUK IS CORRECT ABOUT 100 GIRLFRIENDS EXPERIENCE LMAO 😂

I can't disagree. So many amazing animes this fall season, let alone the entire 2023.

Overtake super underrated really cool
Not on the list The Witch and her family situation
A great comedy that's wholesome and cute and out of nowhere drops 1 episode with a really sad but inspirational and touching story about mr Ass
10 for me
@@tpsamyah last year was great..
And Just starting of this year we are eating good...
Ya I like it. Had good characters like Lucy and such. Much better ones than the first season.
JJK season 2 is this generation's Naruto Pain Arc/Bleach's end of Hueco Mundo arc. Very memorable, extremely hype. Very glad I waited for it to finish before watching.
If you liked how creative Undead Unluck is with regeneration, you should read AJIN, the villain is an absolute badass genius
Sato is so ungodly creative he found a way to turn Post-Mortem Regeneration into Teleportation. Insane.
Ajin is so good
I'm pretty sure he's talked about Ajin before
I was surprised by Apothecary Diaries too, and you're absolutely right by saying there is no hook.
Which is a big reason why the oni girl her best friend is so over protective of her because she knows Luna is too naïve and kind for her own good
Is it worth watching? What do you recommend it for? What is the hook? What is the payoff?
@@jaideepshekhar4621You aren't getting attack on Titan-level plot, that's for sure. It's much more realistic and reasonable than most Harem or Romance shows with needlessly overdramatic plots.
I really recommend to read Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint. I recently finished reading till the newest chapter and it's bloody amazing. Give it 15 chapter and you will be hooked.
the web novel is complete if you want to finish the story
Anime adaptation for it was announced
Please read the novel, you won’t regret it. It’s completed (side story aside) and it genuinely blows everything else in the genre out of the water. It’s not that the competitors are bad, it’s that omniscient reader’s viewpoint is so fucking bonkers and insane peak.
@@Eukleides89 you should read lord of the mysteries
@@BearEnjoyerI’ve heard of it before and it’s on my list, but it would take a hell of a fucking lot to top ORV for me. ORV had me sobbing by the end and I wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s a love letter to writing at its heart. Perfect ending, I didn’t even want to read the side story for the longest time bc of how perfectly ORV ended. And there’s so much foreshadowing on reread.
frieren is definitely anime of the season for me, maybe even anime of the year
Even though it was pretty much inevitable that Gigguk was gonna pick 100 Girlfriends over Girlfriend Girlfriend and I was prepared for that, I will command him for his brave statement that he enjoyed both of them more than Quintessential Quintuplets.
Kanojo mo Kanojo is more polarizing so that's probably more debatable but you still see quite a lot of people that really enjoy its comedy style as well
Fun fact:
Hyakano(100girlfriends) manga was published earlier than kanojo mo kanojo manga.
Hyakano: dec 26 2019
Kanojo mo kanojo : mar 4 2020
However, Kanojo mo kanojo got an anime adaptation earlier than Hyakano
Same, actually I put QQ at C tier of all harem series.
It’s not at d tier just because those waifu is pretty, but the story is so boring in my opinion.
You forgot the best part about kingdoms of ruin, the opening,it went so insanely hard unlike everything else in the show
Shy I promise is actually at least a A tier EP 8 starts the Russia arc and OMG that goes so hard that was airing during Kuma flashback in One Piece manga so I can tell you SHY was also cooking something really special
If you have seen both you know how they can be compared to each other and obviously Kuma will be a much bigger deal but considering it took only 8 episode to set up the Russia arc it's really impressive that SHY is almost competing with some GOATS like One Piece top flashback
What it is about
@@koong3097 It's a psychological focused superhero series. Last arc was a brutal tearjerker.
@@koong3097like I always said to describe it
Imagine justice League animated series meet the best of magical girl writing peak with fights that are actually metaphor for inner emotional or ideological conflicts and victory it's not about power but empathy and understanding and emotional maturity
Dr. Stone is one of the most GOATED isekais ever, fite me
also Frieren is such a cozy fucking show it makes me so god dang happy
Well what you expect jjk is a shonen series thats common bro
Stardust Telepath was slept on frfr. Great CGDCT drama show and had my favourite OP of the season. Shy gets elevated to A by the last ~4 episodes, massive tearjerker.
Tearmoon empire was also a nice funny show (Sasuga Mia-Sama).
2:14:50 ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Edit:
Also WataOshi (I'm in love with the villainess) was like an A or B - as a WN reader I can tell you that we NEED a 2nd season, the next four arcs are peak and finish the first part of the story.
and
Hikkomori Kyuketsu (Shut in vampire princess) also A or B, some great characters and goofy action comedy.
You are subbed to muse Asia aren't you?
My brother I share exactly the same opinions 100 everything you said is perfection
More slept on show available for free on Ani One Asia yt channel
The witch and her family situation
The 4 brothers I don't remember the name but it's about these 4 brothers who became orphans and now they are helping each other be a family and cope with this new situation of growing up orphans
Actually a very cute and wholesome show for the most part although inevitably sad for some moments
Did you notice in the OP they used like morse code because it's a show about trying to communicate with the aliens and trying to reach something somewhere far away
If you played Pokémon that op is as beautiful as the XY psychic gym in kalos in the city of the big pink solar clock that unlocks the megastones
The only thing I disagree SHY gets elevated to S by that Russia orphanage arc
To me that is borderline peak fiction hit me almost as hard as Chimera ant ending which muse Asia also aired not so far in time compared to Shy
And obviously Chimera ant is better but the fact that I feel like I can put both in the same sentence to me that's evidence Shy is S
Or maybe it's just me because I also grew up with a single mom like Pesha the alcoholic russian hero luckily my mom is healthy and well
@@tpsam Nah I used the "high seas" streaming sites. I know which anime you mean but have only watched the first couple episodes of both (Last season had too much anime bruh)
The beeps and boops are one of the reasons I loved the OP. Sadly its not actually morse code.
And yeah that last arc was pretty S-tier, overall I'd still have to give the show an A tho - hopefully the 2nd season manages to deliver more on that level.

Truly one of the best manhwas/web novels out there
Suicide Hunter such a Banger Storytelling
(i could see it being put at high C near the 'A Returner's Magic Should Be Special' since they both have the same flaws where they both lack the 'hook' that really makes the anime stands out)
other anime that stood out for me this season that wasn't in the list are
- Tearmoon Empire (A)
- I'm in Love with the Villainess (B)
- The Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess (B)
and the continuation of
- dark gathering (A)
- helck (B)
- zom100 (A)
Odd he missed out all of those. Not watched helck but the others I'd agree with you on. Maybe an A for WataOshi (I'm biased as a WN reader lol)
Then why not make a regular dark fantasy story? Why does it need to be an isekai where a perv gets turned into a pig?
NOOOOOO Migi & Dali is so good. It gets really crazy and also really touching later on. it is easily one of the most underrated gems of any season.
@@altrivotzck6565 you know what I’ll check it out. The show left me really wondering of the full potential of the show so I think I will
I can’t believe I read four volumes of Berserk of Gluttony LN in hindsight

You hit the nail on the head with Frieren. At first it seems like a Violet Evergarden type show, of a girl discovering her emotions, but really Frieren has always been a really kind girl who genuinely cares for her friends. With her view on time itself though, it's just that human lives are too fleeting to get too emotionally attached. And that's now her one regret.
Oof... missing Vexation of a shut-in vampire princess, Tearmoon empire, that's a shame, they are better than half of the those listed here
Tearmoon was really great hopefully season 2 that va for the princess sumire she is really popular maybe they will give her a season 2
Goblinslayer protagonist could be best buddies with that elfslayer dude from skyrim that really hates elves as much as he hates goblins

I can't believe overtake is A and Shy is C bruh they're the same show character driven Human dramas granted that overtake character are much more grounded and realistic
But Shy character are much more cinematic and epic
Frankly Shy character being so grandiose make for more highly emotional stories and impactful emotional moments that goes both ways
Extremely tragic or heroic and epic and triumphant
Not to mention even in calming mild slice of life emotional tone Shy shines brighter than overtake and does this kind of episodes better than overtake as well
Literally except for being realistic and relatable everything overtake does great SHY does it better
And Shy can be very relatable because sometimes even in that world some very real shit that a lot of people can relate with it's portrayed really skillfully
@@stefanuhrmann6231it is cheesey I will give you that
But I think Garnt simply didn't watch enough episodes because he doesn't care about Shy aesthetics he probably dropped it because obviously like everyone else couldn't see the Russia arc coming so hard out of nowhere
Overtake and Shy are so similar they literally have almost the same pace because they both have a big emotional climax around EP 10
Overtake with the disappearance of the photographer and the protagonist driver reaching him to have this trip on the earthquake tsunami place where the photo with the girl child and the scandal started to visit the grandpa before he dies
It's that arc for overtake vs Russia arc which climaxed around EP 10 as well in Shy
And I take Russia arc over overtake no pun intended
100% always
And even in the slow slice of life EP like the sponsorship in the neighborhood episode compared to like the old lady hiking the mountain episode
Again Shy does it better
I love both shows because they're both great and written amazingly but Shy takes the cake for going so hard and bombastic and epic while also when it happened super tragic and sad as well
Simply a much wider range of emotions and intensity
@@stefanuhrmann6231 tryhard is definitely a quality rather than a flaw

A bad example of tryhard imo is jjk
Omg look at this plot and shocking developments and actually delivered almost no emotional impact except for let's goo this is hype
Which is ok and acceptable if it wasn't trying so clearly massively hard to be like oh this is actually a very mature show with great writing and high stakes and great tragedy
But failed to deliver
I felt the same way with Overtake, definitely my surprise anime the past season.
There were so many good to great show like overtake that are great surprises last season
SHY is another one I put in that
The Witch and her family situation another but in a different genre and mood still great
so happy to see him put it in A Tier, was a fantastic show
Funny that out of all 2023 animes
I only watched Migi and Dali lol
Personally I think you made a solid choice. Maybe it helped it had a clear ending, but it was one of the most satisfying stories for me this season.
Idk if it’s because of the lighting but Garnt looks really weary and tired, his eyebags seems bigger and darker than usual
Me and my mate had a blast watching it
Aot's ending is a D tier BARE MINIMUM
Biggest take away for me is his misinterpretation of the Angel next door story
Almost gave me a heart attack when he put Apothecary into C for a second
Returners magic manhwa is good enough to get adaptation. Enjoyed it more than solo levelling.
Apothecary diaries, Eminence in Shadow, pluto, and frieren were peak anime of this season
Ngl I enjoyed jjk memes more than jjk s2 because the deaths were mid still s tier overall
That's my problem with jjk more than a problem it's a curse
Jjk min max optimized from all the great shounen Naruto bleach HxH as you said
Which gave it its strength
But here is the curse
It also limited it within the boundaries that those other shows it borrowed from already set
The weakness of jjk it's that it didn't invent nothing and doesn't present nothing new that we have never seen before
@@tpsamhonestly my only weekness is I want more character interactions. You like the Apothecary Diaries so much because it is low key an isekai. Maomao gets transported into another world where she uses her skills learned in her previous life to solve all the problems. Or it is just a great show with fantastic production value You decide!
It ain’t an isekai. She gets her genius from her parents.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll wait for part 2 then. 4 episodes is not worth it.

There was never enough breathing room to create the anticipation necessary for a fight to feel hype.
its overhyped and carried by the animation, If people actually pay attention to its the power system its broken considering its based on emotions in how a person can get stronger with cursed energy, you then have the "explain/reveal" powers on top of that which makes them stronger (this is such a dumb way to give an excuse for a trope, and there are no reason behind it). i wish i knew how to get out that i appreciate the animators. That they should not feel underappreciated and should stand proud and stay strong. and i hope they get breaks and rest and stay in good health.
Bruh... Tearmoon saga got banished to the shadow realm, didn't even get listed in didn't watch, just got thano snapped out of existence
Undead Girl Murder Farce has the same director as Kaguya Sama
Frieren on top, like it deserves
Shit boring af, even paint dry is more entertaining
those slack notifications gave me ptsd hahahaha, kept checking my work laptop
2:19:44 bro called Andy the main character 💀💀💀💀
Fuuko is, and always will be ;-;
for some reason jjk is the only series that i love to see spoilers for
What a great year for anime, as well as this season alone
We can relate and empathize with that
Tower Of God will always be my fav manhwa/webcomic
Garnt finally realizes that Eminence in Shadow is peak in ALL departments and not just enjoyable trash isekai
unironically flawless tierlist. especially the "S" rank placements in the tierlist is absolutely impeccable.
though it was really fkin weird to see AoT below GirlfriendGirlfriend lmao i dunno about that instance
glad to see that he came back to his sense and putting Frieren above
JJK😎 cuz i thought my man had lost it after all the frieren slander and jjk d^ckriding by him in the last TT episode
@@btchiaintkidding7837 eh ... jjk s2 is better than frieren any given day, one is a slice of life adventure and other is pinnacle of action and destruction. Frieren is good too though
@@drp7751 anyday I'd rank frieren higher than jjk s2 ....
@@SilverGate007upto personal opinion I guess
I don't think frieren has peaked in any aspect yet though
Dead mount death place is an actual good isekai for once
Romances where bland nice guys win aren’t called out for being power fantasy, because they belong to an equally sad category of wish fulfillment. Many Isekai get crap because many of them belong to both categories at the same time.
is Garnt back in Tailand? I'm happy that he can freely travel now which means that the boys's schedule must not be as tight rn as the previous years.
Calling Undead Unluck mid clearly haven't read Ragnarok Arc yet
Garnt considering your taste and how you love Justice League the animated series you have to try SHY again
Imagine that world crossing with the best of magical girls writing tropes about conflicts and fights being actually metaphors for emotional growth and healing relationships or broken bonds or better understanding and empathising
Shy is such a mature show that goes so hard emotionally really touching your soul
Literally he gave overtake A
Shy is the same kind of show human drama character driven emotions people relationships and metaphors
The same vibe
Naoki Urasawa the goat 🐐
21:37 I just do not want to see bad guys in romances, but I get the point that it is pure fantasy.
26:14 I accidentally read the manga and decided not to watch it. It is not bad, but not good enough to spend the time in my opinion.
58:30 Thank you
2:22:00 I got that feeling too. Its a great show
I have nothing really to say about JJK. Its good
For everything I have seen, I think your absolutely right.
I think he should watch world Trigger
