_First!_ Wow, my friend Tomasso at Tom LA Books just talked about this graphic novel, to boot! IMA get this one, order it right now. Thanks, Joel. --Allen

Really? Thanks for the heads up, I'm going to check out his channel to see what he had to say. (P.S.--I'd personally give this one a cautious recommendation. I'm not sure I loved it, but... at this point it's probably become such a big part of the culture that it's worth checking out.)

Protecting your home to the death is not something to frown upon, maybe do some more research on history and Greece as a whole. Greece was one of the most highly technological and economically prosperous ancient civilizations this planet has seen! Also philosophically they were thriving!

Hmmm I've neither watched the movie or read the books. Interesting question is do you consider graphic novels/ comic books as real books?
I do like you discussion on the difference between characters and authors opinions. That is very critical for people to understand for stuff like homophobic characters but not a homophobic author.

That's a question I've been asking myself all the way through this graphic novel project. I probably wouldn't consider them real books. But I think I do consider it real reading, if that distinction makes any sense. Just like a magazine isn't a book, but it is a real reading experience.
